Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #86 (Zeitraum: 25.09 bis 22.10).

Nachdem ich krankheitsbedingt einige Zeit ausfiel haben sich nicht weniger als 114 neue Projekte im Rollenspielbereich angesammelt. Darunter nicht weniger als 26 vollwertige Rollenspiele. Weshalb ich im Teaser-Text nicht alle einzeln aufzählen werde, sondern mich im englischen und fremdsprachigen Bereich auf Projekte beschränken werde die mich persönlich sehr ansprechen.

Hinsichtlich der deutschen Projekte schickt sich Alexander Hartung mit Spherechild an, die neuste Edition seines selbstentwickelten Rollenspiels zu finanzieren. Das Spiel bietet ein sehr innovatives Setting, welches eine Mischung aus SciFi und Fantasy ist, und bei dem man als Spieler mehr als einen Charakter führt. Das Setting ist meiner Meinung nach durchaus spannend, das System wurde in zwei älteren Editionen getestet und ich empfehle einen Blick.
Frosty Pen&Paper Online’s Patreon sucht nach Unterstützung für Frostys Online Projekte. Ich bin durch die Podcast-Episode zur Welt der Dunkelheit darauf aufmerksam geworden, und habe mich mal beim Patreon beteiligt.
Letztlich mag man mit Underground Games in Leipzig, mittels Startnext, einen Gamertreff schaffen.

Von den englischen Projekte bin ich von Orun sehr begeistert. Das afro-zentrische SciFi Setting ist mal etwas anderes, mit gefällt die Skizzierung der Charakter-Gestaltung, das System wirkt ansprechend und ich bin auf das erste Rollenspiel von New Agenda Publishing gespannt. Daneben konnte ich den Dice of Unusual Size  nicht widerstehen, mag ich doch meine Sammlung von Würfeln mit obskuren Seitenzahlen, in translucent teal noch ein paar weitere zufügen. Bei den Pride Flag Würfeln bin ich durchaus noch versucht.

Daneben gibt es wirklich viele, wirklich sehr lohnende, Projekte die man sich anschauen sollte. In eigentlich allen Kategorien, bei vielen Projekten habe ich mir vorgenommen sie später genauer in Augenschein zu nehmen. Schaut es euch an und entscheidet selbst:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #85, including every tabletop project started between 09/10 till 09/25.

Given I had to take a week long break, I present more than 72 fresh tabletop rpg crowdfunding projects. Including quite some from Germany, France and Spain.
I did back the German translation of Itras By, do feel tempted by HANDBÜCHER DES DRACHEN II, and the french games MACCHABÉES and MANTRA : ONIROPUNK caught my attention, as did Longue-Ville a richly illustrated book presenting a setting that could  fit a game.
Safe from this little excursion in different languages there are many, great English projects and games. Thus if you liked Watership Down, you might be happy that Bunnies and Burrows is aiming to fund its third edition. Alternatively you could take a look at Rodent Rangers, which aims to be kid friendly. If you like to play more bunnies, other animals or even humans, take a look at The Forest Hymn & Picnic. Which features a system created by the designer of Shadow of the Demon Lord.
If you wonder how Italians would imagine a fantastic Italy based on Rome, checkout Lex Arcana. Next to the aforementioned quirk it looks cool and reads solid. Things from the Flood is a continuation to Tales of the Loop and has the characters discover mysteries, aliens and corporate misshieve in the 90ties. Just like Tales it features art by Stålenhag. Return to the Stars makes a jump forward and offers optimistic Science Fiction running on Fate Core. Going back Castle and Crusaders as well as The Epic of Dreams do give you your fantasy kick. C&C in more traditional fashion, the Dreams in a more story game way. Alternatively you might rob the sea with North Sea Epilogues or have fun with yourself and Avalon’s Solo Adventure system.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #85 (Zeitraum: 10.09 bis 25.09).

Nachdem ich eine Woche aussetzen musste, gibt es nicht weniger als 72 frische Rollenspiel Crowdfundings, mit besonders vielen aus Deutschland.
So schickt sich Pro Indie bzw. Vagrant Workshop an Itras By ins Deutsche zu übersetzen. Das Spiel überzeugt mit einem interessanten System und noch interessanteren Setting, bei welchen sich die Spieler in einer leicht „anders“ wirkenden Welt wieder finden die an Dinge wie Gormenghast, Twin Peaks, Kafka, Mieville oder Robert Dahl erinnert. Ich konnte da natürlich nicht widerstehn. Daneben finanziert Ulisses sowohl die HANDBÜCHER DES DRACHEN II, welche nützliche Tips rund ums Spiel bieten, als auch das Aventurien Brettspiel Schatten der Macht. Wer sich wiederum mehr für Splittermond begeistert, der sollte vielleicht im Stechginster Podcast von Clawdeen reinhören. Dort bespricht sie Allerlei Facetten des Spiels und man kann sie per Patreon unterstützen.
Wer es beherrscht, dem empfehle ich einen Blick in die französischen Projekte, gerade MACCHABÉES hat es mir doch angetan, ebenso wie MANTRA : ONIROPUNK und das arg hübsche Longue-Ville. Wobei auch die spanischen cool sind.

Daneben sind viele brillante englischsprachige Projekte gestartet. Wer von Watership Down (Drüben am Fluß), nicht zu traumatisiert ist, der darf mit Bunnies and Burrows als Kaninchen herumhoppeln und versuchen zu überleben. Alternativ scheint Rodent Rangers tauglicher wenn man seine Kaninchen „freundlicher“ mag.
Die Frage was passiert wenn Italiener ein Spiel über ein phantastisches Rom machen, beantwortet Lex Arcana eindrucksvolls. Wenn man die Werke von Stålenhag mag, sollte man ein Blick auf Things from the Flood werfen, welches die Zeitlinie von Tales of the Loop in die 90er weiterschreibt und neben Abenteuer auch die Gefahr des ablebens bietet. Return to the Stars bietet ein SF System basierend auf Fate und Castle and Crusaders gute, alte Fantasy. Wenn ihr euch wiederum mehr für neue Systeme interessiert, mit einem Story Game Ansatz, schaut euch mal The Epic of Dreams oder The Forest Hymn & Picnic an. Alternativ könnt ihr auch klassischer mit North Sea Epilogues in der Nordsee räubern oder allein mit Avalon’s Solo Adventure system Spaß haben.
Daneben gibt es wirklich viele, viele weitere interessante Projekte, bei denen ich euch einfach einen Blick empfehle, bevor ich euch hier noch mehr ein Ohr abkaue:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #84, including every tabletop project started between 09/02 and 09/10.

My favorite project in this collection is the Dawnline RPG. The players assume the roles of vampires who try their best to protect and guide a bigger flock of humans, ever escaping from the nearing light. While the vampires have to rely on the humans for sustenance, the humans have to rely on vampires to be protected against monsters and aided. Which is a very interesting take on the genre, helped by the fact that the creator felt inspired by works like Vampire Hunter D and Darkes Dungeon. The 3d6 system appears solid and there are some intriguing mechanical idea. The project features cool illustrations, the creator has experience in delivering project. Plus: No shipping cost. I do recommend the project.
Rockopolis is a translation of an Italian game. As suggested by its name the player assume roles of band members and do their best to rock the stage. I do like the idea and the systems – including stuff like various muses – does look interesting. Something Is Wrong Here on the other hand is a game aiming to provide a gaming experience along the experience David Lynch delivered. The design aims for an intense, emotional game experience and if you like story games, take a look. If you like your story games more traditional, you should check out Impulse Drive. It sports a science fiction setting and is Powered by the Apocalypse. A SF rpg with a different twist is HC SVNT DRACONES 2.0, where one plays kind of animal like „Aliens“ or rather surviving and long mutated creatures. I did like the first edition and think the new one is worth having a look. If you like it more traditional,.. Advanced Fighting Fantasy does kickstart Demons of Doom, which might be interesting for fans of fantasy games.

There are tons of other cool projects. Like Dortoka a supplement facilitating the creation of a city in OSR and PbtA. The Reality Shard and Diffusion dice do look great, imho.  The Retro Dice have a unique design, done by Mark Kelly and do offer a stretch goal with Mark Rein-Hagen. The Mad Dice are apparently color changing. Well, and there are tables, nice and useful card decks and many, many more projects.

In regards to the projects in various languages. The French corebooks are quite beautiful to look up, the Italian and Spanish offer interesting insights and the German one collects to translate a Starfinder book. I did drop the Portuguese platform from the collection, as I noticed that the platform doesn’t sort by date and as my time/headspace is limited. If you like to see a Portuguese project in here, just drop me a message.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #84 (Zeitraum: 02.09 bis 10.09).

In der dieser Liste finden sich gleich zwei Projekte von Ulisses bzw. ihrem Partner Westfalia. So finanziert man mit Starfinder Paktwelten einen Ergänzungsband für das frisch erschienene SF RPG. Ebenso versucht man mit Heroes of Aventuria eine Miniaturenreihe ins Leben zu rufen. Den Erkläuterungen von Orkenspalter TV nach, geht es hierbei nicht darum Aventurien eine Battlemap überzuziehen, sondern erstmal um Sammlerobjekte bzw. normale Hilfsmittel.

Von den englischsprachigen hat mich das Dawnline RPG überzeugt. Man spielt hierbei Vampire, welche mit einer Gruppe von Menschen, ständig vor dem nahenden Licht flüchten müssen. Die Menschen haben in den Vampire Beschützer und Helfer die sie brauchen, die Vampire wiederum sind auf Menschen als Nahrung angewiesen. Die Idee ist spannend und recht unverbraucht. Die Verweise auf Vampire Hunter D und Darkest Dungeon atmossphärisch. Die Illustrationen überzeugend. Dazu gefällt mir das 3d6 System und die Ideen um die Gestaltung der Gruppe. Dazu quält es einen nicht mit Versandkosten – es gibt keine. Eine sehr deutliche Empfehlung.
Rockopolis ist ein orginär italienisches Rollenspiel, welches übersetzt wird. Wie der Name bereits andeutet, spielt man eine Rockgruppe welche auf der Bühne gegen andere bestehen muss. Mir gefällt das Setting, der Ansatz mit Musen und die gesamte Gestaltung. Something Is Wrong Here wiederum ist ein Spiel das dahingehend gestaltet wurde ein Spielerlebnis zu schaffen, wie Filme von David Lynch ein Seherlebnis bieten. Das ganze setzt auf story game mechaniken und ein intensives, emotionales Spiel. Wer es narrativ haben mag, aber nicht ganz so abgefahren, kann ggf. einen Blick auf Impulse Drive werfen. Ein Science Fiction RPG mit einem System das zur Powered by the Apocalypse Familie gehört. SF findet man auch bei HC SVNT DRACONES 2.0, wo man Tierartige Aliens/Weiterentwicklungen in der Zukunft spielt. Mir hat die erste Edition bereits gefallen, und ich empfehle daher einen Blick auf die zweite.  Wenn man es jetzt klassischer, und normaler, mag sollte man sich Demons of Doom anschauen, einem eher klassischen Fantasy-Spiel von Advanced Fighting Fantasy.

Auch darüberhinaus gibt es arg viele coole Dinge. Dortoka bietet ein Buch das eine Stadtgestaltung für OSR und PbtA ermöglichen soll. Die Reality Shard und Diffusion Würfel sind meiner Meinung nach super hübsch. Die Retro Dice Würfel wurden von Mark Kelly mitgestaltet und haben ein Stretch Goal mit Mark Rein-Hagen und die Mad Dice sind vom Konzept her das sie die Farbeändern interessant. Es gibt erstaunlich viele Tische, ansehnlich und nützliche Kartendecks und viele weitere Projekte..

Hinsichtlich der weiteren fremdsprachigen Projekte zeigen sich besonders die französischen von einer schönen Seite, und verdienen einen Blick. Aber auch die anderen sind interessant. Mit dieser Übersicht habe ich die portugiesischen ausgelassen, da die Plattform keine Option hat nach den neusten Projekten zu sortieren.

Allgemein wie immer schaut selbst, und als kleiner Tipp, schnell. Erstaunlich viele Projekte haben eine sehr kurze Laufzeit:

Given that I am on the jump travelling to the US, to GenCon, I will keep the preface really short.
In regards of the English project, The Expanse stood out as being the biggest IP. Next for that, German gamers may look forward to Torg.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #81 (Zeitraum: 19.07 bis 29.07).

Nachdem ich gerade in den Reisevorbereitungen für die GenCon bin, möchte ich mich diesmal im Vorwort sehr kurz halten.
Hinsichtlich der deutschsprachigen Projekte finanziert Ulisses Spiele aktuell Torg – diesmal auf Deutsch. Unter den englischsprachigen sticht The Expanse als populäre  IP hervor.
Daneben gibt es noch viele, viele weitere Rollenspielgrundregelwerke und auch recht viele weitere Kickstarter Projekte die kurz vor der GenCon gestartet wurden. Ihr findet sie hier:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #78, including every tabletop project started between 06.17 and 07.01.

Among the current projects for core books am most by Fragged: Dieselpunk Mecha RPG, mostly due to its setting. Though I do consider Delve 2nd and Dungeon Degenerates visually interesting as well and am somewhat curious about Delves d100 system. SURVIVE THIS!! and Boast aren’t bad, just in genres which currently just aren’t my cup of tea. They might still be worth a look if you like superheroes or pirates.
I do like the design of the Infinity D4 dice and they’ll likely fit well into a Premium Dicebox. This time around I did add a „Helpful card decks“ segment, which contains quite some cool decks to help GMs and players with improvisation. Next to that I think HLG Con might be worth checking out if you are looking for a convention with a distinct focus on Larp and quite some World of Darkness stuff. Oh, and there is the Muertos Iluminados playing card game, which I think looks really pretty.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #78 (Zeitraum: 17.06 bis 01.07).

In dieser Kurzübersicht findet ihr gleich zwei Projekte von Ulisses. Einerseits ist man bestrebt Paranoia auf Deutsch zu übersetzen, andererseits gibt es mit Krieg um die Krone einen neuen Abenteuerpfad für Pathfinder. Legends of Xejaron ist ein kleineres Erstlingprojekt, und wirkt durchaus, ich sag mal, bemüht.

Bei den englischen Projekten finde ich das am Fragged: Dieselpunk Mecha RPG spannensten. Das heißt, hinsichtlich der Präsentation und Projektgestaltung. Wobei ich auch Delve 2nd und Dungeon Degenerates für einen Blick wert halte. SURVIVE THIS!!  und Boast sind bereits vom Genre her nicht mein Ding sehen aber nicht schlecht aus.
Von den weiteren Projekten finde ich das die Infinity D4 Würfel gut aussehen und sich in der Premium Dicebox sicherlich klasse machen. Daneben findet man unter „Hilfreiche Kartendecks“ interessante Hilfen für Spielleiter und von den weiteren RPG Projekten mag ich das zur HLG Con hervor heben. Ebenso halte ich das normale Kartendeck Muertos Iluminados für recht cool gemacht.

Crowdfunding Collection #76

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #76, including every tabletop project started between 05.21 and 06.10.

After a small summer break I am back and present a total of 62 projects.
Among the english projects I am intruiged by the games I put into the „Story Game RPG“ category. I am most fascinated by The Mountain Witch, despite its apparent PvP aspect – something I usually don’t fancy. Though the Blackwind Project is quite interesting as well, as are Triumvene, Gather (a GM-less game) and Helheim.
The new edition of Black Hack is the Fantasy RPG I am most interested in. The package sounds intriguing and quite something.  Harvesters on the other hand does feature small animal creatures in a fantasy setting, which looks quite cute and charming. Though Quest as well as Dragonscales look solid as well.
Among the „normal“ RPGs I consider Starship Infernum and Secret Agents of CROSS worth a look. Though, as with the previous collection, my current budget is quite tight, thus no backing this time around.
You’ll find quite a plenty of other projects, supplements, adventures, dice and other projects. Even three cool looking notebook projects. Well, and I do like well done notebooks.

If you are interested in foreign language projects. There is the Changeling 20º Aniversario by Nosolorol, which does offer quite a cool looking version. Among the French projects I find Sneffels – for the name alone – and Tecumah Gulch – which might produce a Far West edition before GMS worth having a look. The Italian game Caos will apparently be as well available in English.
In regards of the German crowdfundings, there is the translation of Mythic Britain on the one hand, on the other hand you’ll find Havena – Versunkene Geheimnisse a sourcebook for The Dark Eye, which comes with a cover Havena – Uh nana which I happen to quite like.
