I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #158, including every tabletop rpg project started between 01/12 and 01/17.

This Sunday the collection is back to its regular schedule, the number of projects isn’t as big as before, yet there are quite some nice ones among those started. Let’s get to them.

The game Dungeon Bitches pretty much had my attention with its name. As suggested by the title, you’ll be playing female or non-binary characters exploring and existing within a dungeon; in which they might feel more at home than within the outside world. The ruleslight game, that’s based in Powered by the Apocalypse systems, focuses on drama and relationships. The artwork is quite unique, and I’ll be trying to fit a physical edition into my budget. The game End Times has the characters engage in time travel to prevent one apocalypse, likely to be followed by the need to prevent another one and another one. Though it is less the characters in person travel through time (save from normal living) but rather their conciousness. The quite interesting setting can be played and explored by using either a Powered by the Apocalypse rules set or the „ORC 2.0“ system. Thus, enabling different approaches. In Coils of Chaos the apocalypse apparently has already taken place creating rather chaotic fantasy future. Which is fascilitated with the „Crux Engine“, using d4 dice which consequently can be upgraded to bigger dice.
If you are looking for a game more on the storytelling side of RPGs, check out Tapestry. You apparently lay out cards with buzzwords on them out akin to a domino game, and create the story along the impulses given. Which I consider quite fascinating.
This time around, I’ll be highlighting two Patreons as well. Let’s start with Nerdbert. He creates beautiful custom character sheets for Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition, which I previously featured on my blogs. Considering I featured them, it is suffice to say that I do like and cherish them, and thus back his endeavor. You can get even more character sheets via the patreon of OldMightyFriendlyGamer (OMFG). His V5 sheets are quite stunning, and thus I joined to offer some support of mine as well. Hence my recommendation to check out both patreons.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #158 (Zeitraum: 12.01 bis 17.01).

Diesen Sonntag ist die Übersicht zurück zur gewohnten Zeit, mit einer übersichtlichen Anzahl von Projekten, darunter einige interessante, welche ich hervorheben mag.

Das Spiel Dungeon Bitches hat bereits mit seinem Titel meine Aufmerksamkeit gewonnen. Wie der Titel nahelegt spielt man weibliche oder nicht-binäre Charaktere, welche sich in Dungeons wohler fühlen als in der „gewöhnlichen“ Welt. Das regelleichte Spiel, welches sich bei PbtA anlegt, bietet einen Fokus auf Drama und Beziehungen. Das Artwork sieht interessant aus, und ich bin stark versucht, wenn ich Raum in meinem Budget finde. In End Times wiederum versucht man eben diese zu verhindern, und mittels Zeitreisen Apokalypsen aufzuhalten. Wobei weniger die Personen eine Zeitreise unternehmen, sondern ihr Bewusstsein. Das interessante Setting kann entweder mit Powered by the Apokalypse Regeln bespielt werden, oder mit dem „ORC 2.0“, einem simulationistischeren System. Cool. Coils of Chaos wiederum setzt direkt in einer ziemlich chaotischen Fantasy Zukunft an, und verwendet die „Crux Engine“ als System. Es ist durchaus einen Blick wert.
Tapestry wiederum bewegt sich entlang der Linien eines RPG und eines Erzählspiel. Hierbei legt man mit Karten, die in dem Beispiel ein wenig nach Domino ausschauen, scheinbar Ansätze aus, über welche die Geschichte gemeinsam weiter gesponnen werden kann.
Daneben mag ich zwei Patreons hervorheben. Zunächst hat Nerdbert einen Patreon, über die er eigens angefertigte, meiner Meinung nach wunderschöne, Charakterbögen für Vampire: Die Maskerade in der 5. Edition anbietet. Die Bögen gibt es neben einer englischen Variante, auch auf Deutsch und in anderen Fremdsprachen. Nachdem ich sie bereits einmal vorstellte, unterstütze ich ihn gerne dabei, und empfehle das Projekt herzlichst. Daneben bietet auch OldMightyFriendlyGamer (OMFG) einen Patreon, über den man ihn bei der Erstellung von Charakterbögen finanziell unterstützen kann. Auch er bietet schnieke Bögen für die V5 und hat ebenfalls meine volle Unterstützung.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #139 (Zeitraum: 29.03 bis 12.04).

Diese Kurzübersicht mag ich mit einen Hinweis auf Unterstützt das Kainskind beginnen, ein StartNext Projekt um den aktiven Freiburger Rollenspiel durch die aktuelle COVID-19 Krise zu bringen. Der Laden ist sehr cool und setzt sich für die Szene ein, mit Rollenspiel-Runden, VTES:Turnieren und mehr. Daneben habe ich die Macher als begeisterte Rollenspieler kennengelernt. Ich unterstütze das Projekt und empfehle es!

Zu den englischen Projekten, Stranded bietet ein Setting-Mischung aus Outer World und Borderlands, mit Action, Mutanten, Robotern und mehr. Das Spiel wird vom Entwickler von Delve geschrieben und es sieht spannend aus. Ich bin versucht, und empfehle es. Ein weiteres spannendes Projekt ist Sunken Dungeon. DnD+Coloring. Das Spiel steht quasi in der Nachfolge von Cloud Dungeon, vom selben Macher. Das heißt, man verändert das Spielbuch beim spielen nachhaltig. Ich bin versucht und empfehle es. Man kann es auch mehrfach spielen, wenn man das PDF mehrfach ausdruckt. Wer Superhelden Rollenspiel mag, sollte einen Blick auf Galaxies in Peril haben. Das Spiel arbeitet mit dem Forged in the Dark System und schaut Action reich aus. Wer lieber ein kleines und kompaktes Spiel sucht, sollte einen Blick auf 2oz5E haben. Eine sehr kondensierte Fassung von D&D 5E, welche man auch unterwegs spielen können soll. Daneben gibt es mit Delta Gamma vs. Draculas ein Spiel das zumindest eine Referenz zu Vampiren macht. Man spielt die „Loser“ Mitglieder einer Sorority und muss sich gegen „Draculas“ im College-Alter erwehren. Ich habe das Magazin wegen des potentiellen Vampir-Faktor unterstützt, bin mir aber nicht super sicher dabei. Angels War wiederum strebt an ein Mecha-Spiel inspiriert von Escaflowne und NGE zu werden. Leider ist die Projekt-Beschreibung etwas spärlich.
Unter den Spielbüchern gefällt mir Our Vacation/Cold War Navy. Der Macher von Thousand Year Old Vampire hat zwei weitere Spielbücher gemacht. Wobei es zwischen „Spielbuch“ und „Buch in dem man spielerisch eine Geschichte schafft“ ist. Ich fand bereits sein erstes Buch cool, und habe auch dieses unterstützt. Zumal die Pledge-Level mehr als fair sind. Schaut es euch an. Das The StoryMaster’s Tales „Dracodeep Dungeon“ Hybrid RPG bietet eine interessante Mischung aus Rollenspiel, Brettspiel und Spielbuch. Die einzelnen Elemente sind interessant in einander verwoben und ich fühle mich versucht, schaut es euch an.
Daneben gibt es coole weitere Projekte, wie der Ergänzungsband Fantasy City Sites and Scenes, welches eben diese für Rollenspiele bieten. Es gibt coole Würfel wie ziemlich glitzernden Saberdice und die fluoreszierenden Starry Mist. Wer online spielen mag, sollte einen Blick auf Atlas Words haben, mit dem man die Unterlagen zusammenstellen kann. Mit der Fireball wiederum kann man wohl direkt spielen, es sieht zumindest danach aus. Für die Musik kann man zu SoundTale greifen und das ganze mit Tavern Tales oder Glorantha Musik untermalen. Es gibt Dungeons and Dimwits einen Comic und Heroic Challenges bietet Karten die Fantasy Spiel unterstützen.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #137, including every tabletop rpg project started between 03/01 and 03/22.

Thanks to COVID-19 and other hassles I had to delay the crowdfunding collection. Which in consequence means you got plenty of projects to enjoy while your practicing social distancing. Sadly, some projects finished before I got this collection done. Seeing that they are more than usual, I decided to give them a brief post-closure shoutout.

Though, let’s get to the projects. First and foremost I wouldlike to highlight Bloodsworn. It’s a vampire game that uses the Ironsworn system. Thus enabling to design the vampire setting and mythos to your liking. The game can be played with a group and a GM, without a GM and even solo. I am enticed with the idea, the concept and the presentation and do highly recommend it. Check it out, it does still need quite some funding. A game that doesn’t need to really wrestle for funding is the 2nd edition of World Wide Wrestling. The cool wrestling rpg, get a well deserved polish and new edition, still with a powered by the apocalypse system and slam dunking the system. Before my sports metaphors get more off track, let’s take a look at Magonomia. The game offers a fantasy renaissance setting with an interesting take on magic and spiritism. If you like Fate, take a look. I think it deserves it. If you rather prefer a more traditional fantasy game, check out the third edition of Savage Kingdoms. It appears quite competent. As does the superhero game Ascendant. I didn’t get to much into the details, but the system seems well laid out and quite a lot of backers love it. Agnomely is a smaller game. On the one hand you’ll be playing gnomes which are small creatures. On the other hand, it comes as a zine. Take a look at that cutey. If you rather have one system and decide the genre for your self, why not take a glance at Dice & Capital?
I personally like the Mecha and Science Fiction genre and Beam Saber has you covered with both. Seeing your mechas head out to kick ass and do missions. It comes with a Forged in the Dark system and I am tempted. Maybe you prefer cyberpunk instead?Then you should take a look at the PbtA like game Ascendancy – well and Cyborgs are kinda fleshy mechas ^^;
Sometimes, in the time of social distancing, you might like to play a good ol‘ solo ttrpg. In which case there’s Monsters! Monsters. That’s if you like a traditional fantasy setting and would like to have an adventure inclided. Then there’s Foolscap Octavo RPG Zines, in which you’ll get the solo game Phantasticine, a game that might help you sleep (unironically), the supplement Substratum about exploring mindscapes, and and Laser Beams Like So Many Stars in which you can cheer for mecha (pilots). Last but not least there is the 2021 Quest Calendar: A Year of Adventure where you’ll get an adevnture each day, to explore. Very cool.
There are of course many other interesting projects. Like the impressively illustrated Izirion’s Enchiridion of the West Marches campaign, the Legendlore setting by Onyx Path for D&D 5E, the Multiverse online platform or the Keyfish Crit dice that got lil‘ fishies inside or the Dice Soap & Token Snowglobe Dice that have lil‘ skulls (and other things) inside. I couldn’t resist those.
Of course I couldn’t resist Vampire: The Masquerade – Vendetta either. It’s a fast, competitive card game placed in the V:tM setting with tons of cool goodies. Check it out!

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #132 – Part 1 of 2, including every tabletop rpg project started between 01/26 and 02/02.

February introduces the Zine Quest 2 Kickstarter event, which follows a very productive week in regards to projects started. Thus there are a total of 79 projects, about 26 offering new games. To make it a bit more accessible, I decided to split the collection.
Do take a look at part 2!

I will start by focusing on the „normal“ projects.
Cowebs will be a game by Exalted Funerals, which offers a Neo Noir experience. Basically a game in the wake of FFO Limetown, Mind Mgmt and The X-Files. There are cases with a twist, which needed to be explored and revealed. It’s a gm-less game, that utilizes a fascinating looking „map“ and is played with 4d6 and 1d12. I recommend having a look. After ending its Kickstarter successfully Hexagon continues it with a IndieGoGo campaign. I would take a look, though flexible funding and to many other projects are keeping me away.
One of the many other cool projects is The Elephant & Macaw Banner Role-Playing Game. Based on the novel by the same name it offers a uniquely Brazilian setting. I like the description, illustrations and am very tempted to back it. Especially with Tom McGreney having proven to be a reliable creator. Red Rook Revolt! is another fantasy game that caught my eye. The players assume the role of revolutionaries fighting against an imperial power. I am quite fascinated that the game addresses aspects like different views on families and on the working of the comunes. The system is mostly a bespoke one. Another cool project, well and a patreon, is The Chronicles of Ember. Which aims to essentially provide a Dark Souls experience. Like, not so much the mechanics, but the setting. The system it self apparently offers like 4 classes and a lot of skills. Just take a look.  If you want your fantasy more classical, take a look at Swords and Wizardry. Which is like super classic fantasy with an OSR like system. Mostly offering a ultimate collectors edition. Grab it if you like it. I do consider Pride of Giants quite cool, with the giant bee-monster an all. System-wise it’s d20 with tons of skills. Offering a delicious crunchy meal. Last but not least you’ll find the Venture & Dungeon fantasy games. Yeah, games. Two at once. With a PbtA-like system. Focused on belonging. Which is quite interesting.
You might be looking for a more universal system. Era d10 Fundamentals is a hack for the Era games and offers you the opportunity to build your own with the system. Just take a look. Another universal game is GMD Core RPG, which looks nice.
There are two games combining various game styles. Blastback: Sci-Fi Superhero Escape Horror RPS combines Escape games and tabletop rpg for an Urban Fantasy game. Then there’s. Band Battle Royale, which mixes up role-playing with card games to make the players band famous.
Considering there’s Choose Cthulhu 2, All for Anvil and Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland you might basically roll around in game books. Where I like to give a shoutout towards Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland, as I enjoyed the original project.
There are a lot of cool projects, like the Dice for All – even as they are imho to pricey -, the transparent dice, stuff like the Simple Spell Tracker and many projects more.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #132 – Teil 1 von 2 (Zeitraum: 26.01 bis 02.02).

Nachdem die Woche bereits sehr produktiv hinsichtlich war, ist seit dem Februar das Zine Quest 2 Kickstarter Event gestartet. Damit gibt es ganze 79 Projekte, wovon allein 26 neue Rollenspiele sind. Zur besseren Übersicht, habe ich die Kurzübersicht aufgespalten.
Schaut euch auf jeden Fall auch Teil 2 an!

Zunächst mag ich die „normalen“ Projekte vorstellen.
Hinsichtlich der deutschsprachigen Projekte, hat System Matters die Vorbestellung für Etwas zu verbergen gestartet. In dem kleinen erzählerischen Spiel, schafft man einen Fall und ermittelt dann diesen. Was durchaus fesch klingt.
Mit Cowebs bietet Exalted Funerals ein interessantes Neo-Noir Spiel. Man geht in dem Spiel im Stil von FFO Limetown, Mind Mgmt und Akte X merkwürdigen Fällen nach und versucht diese aufzudecken. Das Spiel funktioniert ohne Spielleiter, bietet eine Art „Karte“ und würfelseitig kann es mit 4W6 und einem 1W10 gespielt werden. Das Spiel sieht spannend aus und ich empfehle einen Blick. Hexagon wiederum setzt die erfolgreich abgeschlossene Kickstarter Kampagne quasi auf IndieGoGo fort. Halt als flexible Funding, was mich persönlich eher auf Distanz hält.
Von The Elephant & Macaw Banner wiederum bin ich sehr angetan. Das brasilianische Setting, welches auf dem gleichnamigen Roman basiert, weiß mir zu gefallen. Sowohl von der Beschreibung als auch von den Illustrationen. Ich vertraue Tom McGreney das Projekt basierend auf meinen Erfahrungen mit seinen anderen Projekten. Das System wirkt hinreichend unaufdringlich und ich bin sehr versucht zu backen. Schaut es euch an. Auch Red Rook Revolt! begeistert mich bei einem näheren Blick. Hierbei nimmt man wohl die Rolle von Revolutionären in einer Fantasywelt ein, welche sich gegen das vorherrschende Imperium auflehnen. Die Themen des unterschiedlichen Verständnis von Familien, die Ausführungen zu Kommunen sind recht spannend. Das System wohl soweit erzählerisch. Imho hat es einen Blick verdient. Wer Dark Souls mag, sollte vielleicht einen Blick auf den The Chronicles of Ember Patreon haben. Die Beschreibung an sich ist imho schon spannend genug, als dass man sich reinfuchsen sollte. Swords and Wizardry wiederum bietet super klassische Fantasy mit einem ebenso klassischen System. Das Spiel gibt es bereits, ist auch erschienen, allerdings kann man sich mit einer ultimativen Sammleredition eindecken. Ein originelleres Setting bietet Pride of Giants, welches durch ein cooles Bienen-Monster glänzt. Das System ist d20 basiert und wirkt mit den über 800 Skills durchaus etwas crunchy. Was ich positiv finde. Venture & Dungeon wiederum bietet gleich zwei Fantasy Spiele, die ein PbtA-artiges System nutzen und sich mit der Zugehörigkeit von Aussenseitern befasst.
Era d10 Fundamentals bietet eigentlich einen Hack für das System der Era Spiele, allerdings kann man es auch nehmen und sein eigenes Spiel mit basteln. Was, wenn ich mir anschaue was es alles für Era-Spiele gibt, ziemlich universell möglich sein sollte. Daneben ist das Projekt super günstig. Wer sich allgemein für Universal-Systeme interessiert, kann sich auch das GMD Core RPG anschauen. Das Projekt schaut durchaus ganz nett aus.
Es gibt auch wieder Spiele, die Rollenspiele mit anderen Spielmechaniken verbinden. Blastback: Sci-Fi Superhero Escape Horror RPS kombiniert eine Art Urban Fantasy Rollenspiel mit einem Escape-Room Ansatz. Eine durchaus interessante Idee, die einen Blick verdient hat. Band Battle Royale wiederum kombiniert Rollen- und Kartenspiel, dass mich sehr vage an Umläut erinnert.
Mit Choose Cthulhu 2, All for Anvil und Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland kann man schon fast in Spielbüchern baden. Gerade Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland mag ich empfehlen, nachdem ich schon beim Original-Projekt dabei war. Es gibt massig coole andere Projekte, egal ob es die Dice for All Würfel sind – auch wenn die für mich preiswerter sein müßten – Dinge wie der Simple Spell Tracker und die vielen anderen Projekte. I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #124, including every tabletop rpg project started between 11/03 and 11/24.

As I had to take a two weeks vacation brake, the collection has about 90 projects, so let’s get to them.

If you are interested in original German tabletop rpgs, you might like to have a look at Milan. Well, and if you like some maps, you might like to checkout Jannasaras Kartentasche.

Back to the English projects, I’d like to start with Electric Bastionland. The game from the creator of Into the Odd presents a fascinating setting, in which one plays a character that failed badly and is in debt – basically being the perfect person to go onto adventures to solve their problems. I would guess that the system is rather lite, OSR inspired and am tempted to back it. Then there’s Res Obscura a steampunk fantasy rpg set during the Victorian age. The project doesn’t talk alot about its system, though its being translated from Italian. If we move somewhat ahead in time, we’ll come to Lightning War. It’s set during World War II, yet has fantasy creatures included. Well, and systemwise  it takes inspiration from Skirmish games. If you prefer your fantasy more classic, without real history spice, check out Quest. Which offers quite some expose on its d20 mechanics. If your looking for a narrative game, check out One More Thing. It’s a two player game, in which a criminal case is solved. Putting the emphazise square on the „how“ and not the „if“-which is a given.  Then there’s Charm. Offering a universal game fit to play every kind of character in any Genre. It does look charming indeed.
The Curse of the House of Rookwood offers an intruiging Gothic Horror role-playing game. It sees the players playing characters within a family, where everyone has things to hide and skeletons in the closed – maybe even literal. I am enticed by the setting, the focus on family and generational play and couldn’t resist it. I do recommend having a look. Vaesen offers another take on the Gothic Horror genre.  It uses nordic mythologie as the bases for its setting, yet diverges from the common stuff I knew beforehand, making it a fresh take. The ruleset is an adapted version of the Tales of the Loop one. I do recommend having a look at it.
VIGOR: Into the Dust is a game for those who prefer post-apocalyptic settings, which aren’t nighlistic and drab. Yet Vigors setting gives me a Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and the system is character forward and focused on survival and getting the community to thrive. Which has me considering backing it. The Ruin on the other hand offers a more classical post-apocalypse, focusing on survival horror. It does use a D&D 5E inspired system, which you can checkout by their quickstart. Thus, take a look. Then there’s Aftermath, which has an apocalyptic setting, yet a rather sparse description. If you want to get more information on it, check the video.
Then there are quite some Urban Fantasy games, like Of Dreams and Magic 2nd Edition: The Waking World. The concept of a world, overlayered by a dream world. Which does look fascinating and reminds me a bit of Invisible Sun, just more accessible. I recommend having a look at it.  Then there is Onyx Path, granting Mummy: The Curse a 2nd edition. In this Chronicles of Darkness game you assume the role of an eternal, timeless Mummy which is effectively immortal and possesses a cult. You can take a look at the manuscript of the book once you backed and I recommend having a look. Another good call would be backing the City of Mist: Starterbox. It offers you everything to play the cool mix of the PbtA and Fate system to play essentially urban fantasy coded superheroes. Though, if you rather like to play Power Rangers, Sailor Moon Warriors or similar teams check out If Not Us, Then Who?. It uses an interesting card based system.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Blood Feud is a „Mega Board Game“ and thus unites aspects of role-playing games, card games and a mega game. The game is made for 4 up to 32 players, which have four different station to vie for controll of the city. I do think that the idea is very cool, the miniatures are plently and nice and the box is neatly fit. I backed it and would like to recommend it very highly! Especially as it has only hours, under three days, left.
The Wishing Sigil is on the clock as well. Basically you’ll get a story prompt for every advent day, and thus basically solo-play a little campaign. I think it’s a cool idea and close enough to role-playing. Have a look and form your own mind.
There are many more, cool projects. You can participate in the Patreon from DavidTvGames and help him develop gaming resources, you might be interesting in backing the sourcebook The Islands of Sina which is inspired by Philipine myths, well or fall for the fascinating, glittering Dispel Dice – which almost got me, maybe build a tower with TURRIM Dice or keep track of your game with the Spin Dice and Gaming Gizmos counters. There is fascinating stuff like the Tome Tote, which doubles as book cover and dice tray and very cool Deckboxes that I actually backed.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #124 (Zeitraum: 03.11 and 24.11).

Nach drei Wochen mit sehr vielen Projekten, weshalb ich auch gleich zur Sache kommen mag.

Milan wird ein originär deutsches Rollenspiel aus dem Borealis Verlag. In dem Setting sind die Charaktere teil einer Untergrundorganisation und können sich mit phantastischen verschiedenen Abenteuern stellen. Von der Antike über die wilden 20ern, in der Gegenwart bis hin zur Zukunft. Das Spiel bietet eine zügige Charakter-Erschaffung und die Option für die Verwendung von komplexeren Regeln. Ich bin versucht mitzumachen. Pathfinder 2 – Zeitalter der Verlorenen Omen aus dem Ulisses Verlag bietet im Grunde alles was man zum Einstieg in die neue Edition braucht. Wenn man für eins seiner Spieler Karten sucht, sollte man einen Blick auf Jannasaras Kartentasche aus dem Donnerhaus haben. Ich habe bisher exzellente Erfahrungen mit den Karten von ihnen gemacht, und mag es daher empfehlen. Auch kann man mit der Staffel 2 für das Gasthaus Zum rollenden Würfel eine Rollenspielrunde unterstützen, die auf YouTube spielt.

Bei den englischsprachigen Rollenspiel mag ich zunächst auf Electric Bastionland hinweisen. In dem Spiel, vom Macher von Into the Odd, spielt man Figuren die kräftig versagt und Schulden haben. Die Welt ist faszinierend gestaltet und ich fühle mich durchaus etwas versucht. Das System ist wahrscheinlich leicht und OSR nahe. Res Obscura wiederum ist ein Fantasy-RPG das in einem fiktiven viktorianischen Zeitalter spielt, mit einer ordentlichen Portion Steampunk. Das Spiel verrät nicht viel über das System, wird jedoch auch in italienisch erhältlich sein. Wenn wir etwas in der Zeit voran gehen, landen wir bei Lightning War. Einem Rollenspiel mit Skirmish Elementen, das in einem zweiten Weltkrieg mit Fantasykreaturen ansetzt. Klassische Fantasy, ohne Realwelt Bezüge, bekommt man in Quest geboten. Welches einem auch detaillierte Einsichten in das geplante W20 System gibt. Wenn man wiederum eher ein narratives Spiel sucht, kann man in One More Thing Kriminalfälle lösen. Wobei es nicht um die Frage geht „das man den Fall löst“ sondern viel mehr um das „wie man den Fall gelöst hat“. Ein charmanter Ansatz für zwei Spieler. Charm wiederum bietet ein universelles Rollenspiel, mit dem man jeglichen Charakter in jeglichen Genre spielen können soll. Es sieht recht charmant aus.
The Curse of the House of Rookwood bietet ein Gothic Horror Rollenspiel, bei dem man eine Familie spielt, bei der jeder hinreichend viele Skelette im Schrank hat – manche davon wortwörtlich. Mit gefällt der übernatürliche Aspekt und das generationenlange Spiel. Weshalb ich mit Begeisterung dabei bin. Vaesen bietet ebenfall Gothic Horror, setzt diesen jedoch auf nordischer Mythologie auf. Es wirkt hierbei durchaus frisch und das verwendete Regelset, angelehnt an Tales of the Loop, hat sich bewiesen. Ich mag es empfehlen.
VIGOR: Into the Dust wiederum ist ein Spiel für alle die es post-apokalyptisch mögen, aber nicht zu düster. Weshalb es mit einem Setting, das mich vom Stil her vage an Nausicaä erinnert, sich auf das überleben und die Weiterentwicklung konzentriert. Dazu verwendet es ein durchaus interessantes W6 basiertes System, was mich durchaus alles in Versuchung führt. The Ruin wiederum bringt eine klassischere Post-Apokalypse, mit Überlebens-Horror und allem. Es verwendet die Regeln der 5. Edition und bietet einen Quickstart. Weshalb ich gerne einen Blick empfehle. Aftermath ist das letzte der RPGs mit apoklyptischen Themen. Die Projektbeschreibung gibt nicht gerade viel her, und am ehesten kann man sich Infos aus dem Video ziehen, wenn man will.
Wenn man lieber Urban Fantasy mag, sollte man einen Blick auf Of Dreams and Magic 2nd Edition: The Waking World haben. Das Konzept einer Welt, bei der es quasi eine drüber liegende Traumwelt gibt, wirkt interessant und erinnert mich etwas an Invisible Sun. Wobei das Spiel auf mich zugänglicher wirkt und durchaus einen Blick verdient hat. Mummy: The Curse 2nd Edition ist das neuste Projekt von Onyx Path und finanziert die zweite Edition des Chronicles of Darkness Spiel. Man spielt hierbei eine zeitlose und recht unsterbliche Mummie, was wie ich finde eine durchaus interessante Idee ist. Das Manuskript steht und ich empfehle bei Interesse einen Blick. Mit City of Mist: Starterbox bekommt man alles was man für das Spielen von City of Mist braucht. Einem Urban Fantasy Spiel mit Superhelden Noir Einschlag, dessen Regeln auf PbtA und Fate basieren. Zuletzt gibt es in der Kategorie noch If Not Us, Then Who?, wenn man quasi Power Ranger, Sailor Kriegerinnen und sowas spielen möchte. Wofür es ein kartenbasiertes Rollenspiel bietet.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Blood Feud ist ein „Mega Brettspiel“ und vereint Aspekte eines Rollenspiel, Megaspiels und Kartenspiel in einer coolen Box. An vier Stationen kämpfen die Spieler – 4 bis 32 – um die Kontrolle der Stadt. Ich finde den Inhalt der Box super-cool, die Miniaturen überzeugend und das Spielkonzept interessant. Weshalb ich es unterstützt habe und herzlich empfehlen möchte! Es läuft nur noch knapp drei Tage!
The Wishing Sigil hat ebenfalls nur noch Stunden bevor es abläuft. Im Grunde bekommt man hierbei an jeden Advent-Tag ein Story-Prompt und kann entlang dessen entsteht eine Geschichte. Etwas das ich durchaus spannend und Rollenspielnahe finde.
Daneben gibt es noch viele weitere coole Projekte. So kann man DavidTvGames dabei unterstützen Rollenspielmaterial zu entwickeln, über den Ergänzungsband The Islands of Sina ein durch philippinische Mythen geprägtes Setting erhalten, mit den Dispel Dice faszinierend, funkelnde Würfel erhalten oder gleich einen Turm aus Würfel mit den TURRIM Dice bauen während man mit dem Spin Dice and Gaming Gizmos Stati nach hält. Es gibt faszinierende Dinge wie das Tome Tote, welches als Buchumschlag und Würfelbecher dient und nützliche wie die Deckboxes die ich unterstützte.
Daneben gibt es super viele weitere, lohnende Projekte, die teilweise sehr bald enden, schaut selbst:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #116, including every tabletop rpg project started between 08/18 and 08/26.

You’ll find the new game Never Knows Best created by Fraser Simons offers a quite unique setting as you play teens who can transform into robots to deal with their problems and growing up. Taking cues from FLCL – or „FuriKuri“ as I remember the series – the setting promises to be a tad bit wild. The system is a mix of Powered by the Apocalypse and Blades in the Dark. I am intruiged and starred the project. The only other fully fledged game in the list is The Quantum Drift. From what I understood it takes the tradition of „forum fiction rpgs“, where one continues a story from the perspective of their character in essentially a writers circle, and takes it to Facebook. I think it sounds interesting, yet am a bit confused about the need to crowdfund it.
Next to the games there are two Patreons. On the one hand you can support Tracy Barnett as they are creating tabletop rpgs (I guess story games style), podcasts, offer streaming and more. On the other hand you might look at the Patreon of Anna Kreider and help her writing about feminism in game and helping marginalizted groups. I think both patreons are pretty cool.
Among the sourcebooks I am most tempted by On Downtimes and Demesense. The topics are quite interesting and I am having an eye on it. If you’d like to check it out, it has already less than a week to go. For fans of richly illustrated fantasy rpgs Trudvang Chronicles: Mupselheim is a must see. Well, and if you like to have another combat system for a popular fantasy setting, check out the Percentile dice combat module. You might as well marvel at dice like The Path of Chaos Metal RPG Dice Set or the Solid Brass Raised Pip Dice.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #116 (Zeitraum: 18.08 bis 26.08).

Trotz Convention am Wochenende, präsentiere ich Euch heute eine fast pünktliche Kurzübersicht. Diesmal mit 27 spannenden Projekten.
Mit Never Knows Best bietet Fraser Simons ein recht faszinierendes RPG rund um Jugendliche die sich in Roboter verwandeln können, um mit dem Stress des Lebens umzugehen. Das der Anime FLCL – oder auch „FuriKuri“ – als Inspiration genannt wird läßt darauf schließen das es abgedreht wird und das System ist eine Mischung aus Powered by the Apocalypse und Blades in the Dark. Ich bin durchaus interessiert, und liebäugele damit zuzuschlagen. The Quantum Drift ist ein eher ungewöhnlicher RPG-Ansatz, zumindest für einen Kickstarter. So nimmt man anscheinend das Konzept des gemeinsamen Geschichten-Schreiben, wie es gerade zu bspw. wie Star Trek auf verschiedenen Foren praktiziert wurde und wird, und scheint es Richtung Facebook schieben zu wollen. Eine durchaus interessante Idee.
Daneben kann man Tracy Barnett bei der Erstellung von Spielen (eher Story Games), Podcast, Streaming mittels Patreon unterstützen. Gerade die Spiele die es gibt machen es für mich interessant. Auch Anna Kreider hat einen Patreon, mit dem sie versucht Raum für marginalisierte Gruppen zu schaffen und sich mit Feminismus im Kontext von Spielen auseinandersetzt. Beides coole Sachen, die es lohnt zu unterstützen.
Unter den Ergänzungsbänden gefällt mit On Downtimes and Demesense sehr gut, es sind beides coole Themen, und ich werde schauen ob ich ggf. noch einsteige. Wobei man sich Sputen muss. Fans graphisch opulenter Fantasy RPGs sollten wiederum auf jedenfall Trudvang Chronicles: Mupselheim anschauen. Beeindruckend. Wobei es auch Projekte gibt die bspw. D&D ein neues Kampfsystem verpassen mögen, wie Percentile dice combat module. Die Würfe im The Path of Chaos Metal RPG Dice Set mögen arg verspielt sein, ich finde sie aber cool. Ebenso wie die Solid Brass Würfel mit herausstehenden Punkte.
Daneben gibt es noch einige weitere Projekte die einen Blick verdienen, schaut selbst:
