I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #80, including every tabletop project started between 07.08 and 07.19.

The incoming GenCon has apparently motivated quite a lot of creatives and thus you’ll find no fewer than 13 projects for new rpgs alone. Well, and while I had the best intentions to safe up for the big event, I couldn’t resist a few gems.
I got swept by Demon City, a new, modern horror game by Zak S. I backed his patreon before and thus had been already convinced by the astonishing artwork as well as by the rule system. You’ll find that it uses a tarot card deck, yet one might as well use regular d6. Next to that the stretch goals are quite cool as well.
Of course I couldn’t resist the second edition of Greg Stolze’s Reign. The fantasy setting is nice and somewhat different, yet what sold me most is the one-roll engine/system. I am as intruiged by the ORE that it basically got this very blog started as I pondered if I could convert V:tM to it – I couldn’t or rather was to lazy to do it. The fact that Greg mentions that he might be working with „someone from White Wolf“ for a contemporary ORE setting was another cherry on a great cake. Go, check it, back it.
The third game I backed is Quickstarter: Harder They Fall by James Illes. On the one hand, Legacy as a game and as a Kickstarter was an excellent experience. On the other hand, I do really like the idea as presented in the the description and am curious. If you are curious as well, hurry up, it only has a few days left.
Next to those projects I am pondering to back the 2nd edition of Over the Edge. The setting is interesting, Urban Fantasy right up my ally and the system seems worth having a look, alas my resources are finite and thus am hestitating. Same goes for the TERA DICE dice set. It looks mighty cool and fancy… and everytime I ponder to maybe do drop the buck required.
Yet, the other games are quite nice as well. Esoterica is a new urban fantasy game with some horror elements that does look interesting and utilizes the „proven“ d6 system. Flotsam is a gm-less games for those who actually liked the B5 episode „A view from the gallery“ and wished to play those folks. If you yearn for another PbtA game Interstitial got you covered with an interesting premise.
Among the card-based systems Zombie World appears to be quite popular given the people I see who backed it and Tales of Arcana offers a nice card based character creation system. If you prefer d20 systems, check out Proficiency and Frey. I considered Proficiencey once and got Frey starred.
If you like game books, Samurai Slasher looks cool, though it is already on the clock. The supplement Animal Adventures will supplement dogs to your game and if you play Delta Green you might like to have a look at The Labyrinth. I did like the cover of the D&D supplement Careless Adventurer’s Guide. Well, and if you are a book-o-phile check out the lavishly designed, hand-crafted Cthulhu based Spell Book.
You’ll find plenty more cool projects in the collection, see for yourself:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #79, including every tabletop project started between 07.01 and 07.08.

After I took a break from backing projects, this collection sees my return.
The project that brought me back was the second edition of Geist: The Sin-Eaters. I followed its development via the blog of Onyx Path Publishing and was intrigued by what I read. The setting sounds really cool, and I liked the VtR2 game I played. Thus, I have had to back it and it is one of the few OPP projects I do back because I believe in it. It has a delivery date of 2020, yet I think it’s worth the wait and recommend it. John Silence is a new project by Josh Jordan and offers a Urban Fantasy with two engaging premises. On the one hand the player characters aren’t white folks, on the other hand the conflict resolution isn’t that much focused on physically overpowering. Given the presentation, strong Kickstarter record, I couldn’t resist, invest in it and do recommend it. I am still hesitating to back Tiny Supers. Alan Bahrs newest entry to the TinyD6 system family. I enjoyed the previous projects a lot, yet „superhero“ isn’t that much my genre and I do still need to save up for GenCon.
Similarly I am currently on the brink of backing Behind the Masc Zine, a magazine talking about games and a non-cis view on masculinity. Next to those I would recommend taking a look at Killing Lee Garvin, it’s not an RPG but a card game. Yet it looks fun, has a tabletop rpg theme and you’ll help the designer Lee Garvin with his medical expenses.
Another game that ain’t a RPG is the Edible Games Cookbook. It isn’t a cookbook one can eat, but one to be used to literally cook-up games. I do really like the idea and recommend you’ll have a look.
There are many more cool projects, like the Mars Sourcebook for Space 1889, just have a look:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #78, including every tabletop project started between 06.17 and 07.01.

Among the current projects for core books am most by Fragged: Dieselpunk Mecha RPG, mostly due to its setting. Though I do consider Delve 2nd and Dungeon Degenerates visually interesting as well and am somewhat curious about Delves d100 system. SURVIVE THIS!! and Boast aren’t bad, just in genres which currently just aren’t my cup of tea. They might still be worth a look if you like superheroes or pirates.
I do like the design of the Infinity D4 dice and they’ll likely fit well into a Premium Dicebox. This time around I did add a „Helpful card decks“ segment, which contains quite some cool decks to help GMs and players with improvisation. Next to that I think HLG Con might be worth checking out if you are looking for a convention with a distinct focus on Larp and quite some World of Darkness stuff. Oh, and there is the Muertos Iluminados playing card game, which I think looks really pretty.
There are plenty more projects, just have a look:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #77, including every tabletop project started between 06.11 and 06.17.

In this collection you’ll find three new tabletop rpgs and a recurring one.
Velvet Generation offers a Science Fiction Rock’n Roll game, in which the player characters form a band and trying to get a musical revolution started. The game uses d6, looks for doubles and adds some more narrative mechanics into the mix. The creators are experienced as this will be the second edition of the game. Dark Times on the other hand combines Cyberpunk and Supers with its setting. The players do assume the roles of superpowered human beings that have been created by companies who view them as their property and nothing more than tools. The system is somewhat similar and based on Wicked Packs as well as Spy and there’s a video explaining it. Survive the Night is a horror role-playing game in which a group of teenagers has to survive several scenarios. Based on the video there are 5 ready-made characters and 4 pre-made scenarios to get started with.  Blackwind is the recurring entry. I mentioned the game in the previous collection, yet missed the Patreon. Thus, if you want to support the creators and the game on a regular basis, there you go.
I did notice Advanced Labyrinth Lord and Tavern Guide as two supplements that caught my eye as they appear to offer a lot. Among the applications you might like to take a look at YARPS, the idea looks nice, yet the creators do need some more backing to realize it.
Bolsa Dragón, a spanish project for dice bags caught my eye, because it’s done by El artesano del Rey, who’ll be as well creating the luxury edition of V5, and offer quite an eye-catcher.
Though there are plenty more projects,.. dice, adventures, campaigns,.. you can see for yourself:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #76, including every tabletop project started between 05.21 and 06.10.

After a small summer break I am back and present a total of 62 projects.
Among the english projects I am intruiged by the games I put into the „Story Game RPG“ category. I am most fascinated by The Mountain Witch, despite its apparent PvP aspect – something I usually don’t fancy. Though the Blackwind Project is quite interesting as well, as are Triumvene, Gather (a GM-less game) and Helheim.
The new edition of Black Hack is the Fantasy RPG I am most interested in. The package sounds intriguing and quite something.  Harvesters on the other hand does feature small animal creatures in a fantasy setting, which looks quite cute and charming. Though Quest as well as Dragonscales look solid as well.
Among the „normal“ RPGs I consider Starship Infernum and Secret Agents of CROSS worth a look. Though, as with the previous collection, my current budget is quite tight, thus no backing this time around.
You’ll find quite a plenty of other projects, supplements, adventures, dice and other projects. Even three cool looking notebook projects. Well, and I do like well done notebooks.

If you are interested in foreign language projects. There is the Changeling 20º Aniversario by Nosolorol, which does offer quite a cool looking version. Among the French projects I find Sneffels – for the name alone – and Tecumah Gulch – which might produce a Far West edition before GMS worth having a look. The Italian game Caos will apparently be as well available in English.
In regards of the German crowdfundings, there is the translation of Mythic Britain on the one hand, on the other hand you’ll find Havena – Versunkene Geheimnisse a sourcebook for The Dark Eye, which comes with a cover Havena – Uh nana which I happen to quite like.

You’ll find those projects and quite some more in this list:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #75, including every tabletop project started between 04.29 and 05.21.

Given my excitement in regards to the pre-order for 5th edition V:tM and my attendence at the RPC 2018 (German blog-article) the collection paused for about 3 weeks. Its back and features no less than 73 projects.

You might like to take a look at the German projects, as Die Vergessenen Chroniken – Nothing Stays Forgotten aims to finance the English translation of a German tabletop rpg. If you are a fan of Fate you might as well like to glance at Drei Abenteuerwelten, a sourcebook offering three ‚german‘ settings for Fate Core.

There are plenty more role-playing games. Like Agents of Concordia and Interbellum RPG. Both games offer a kind of ‚alternate history‘ setting and sprinkle in a bit of fantasy. I am quite fascinated by Concordias art-deko approach and thefirst World War theme of Interbellum and will take a closer look late on.
In regards to the fantasy rpg I am most fascinated and curious about Scales & Tales and ORC STABR. I do like Scales box-set approach, light approach and its accessibility for kids. Whereas STABR seems to be a quite funny, little and quite minimal rpg.
Amon the urban fantasy games you’ll find the second edition of Part-Time Gods and the d6 system based Necrotopia. Among the superheroe games there is IS IT A PLANE!? and SuperAge.
Well, and there is a peak of gm-less games. I think I’ve never seen so many started in close proximity to each other. Dream Askew // Dream Apart starts by basically being „two games in one (Kickstarter)“ and I am most fascinated by the idea of a setting that’s described as „Jewish fantasy of the shtetl“. Archives of the Sky does offer an interesting science fiction setting and BFF is a game all bout friendships. Last but not least there is Children of the Fall, a game in which you play children who survived into a post-apocalyptic world.
There are many, many more projects. Like I personally am fascinted by the dJAM dice and I do really like to mention the Patreon for the On A Roll, there are as well many cool notebooks, a drawing book and many, many more. Check for yourself:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #74, including every tabletop project started between 04.08 and 04.29.

Given my live and a ton of cool news from White Wolf regarding the 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade culminating the current pre-oder at Modiphius I took a little time with this crowdfunding collection. Which features no less than 54 projects.

A project that I backed in a blink of an eye was the Jubiläumsausgaben zu Vampire from Ulisses Spiele. It does offer not only the German translation of Vampire: The Dark Ages 20th but a total of 9 supplements.
Of the many other I backed the Patreon for a RPG about Nahuales. A Powered by the Apocalypse Role-Playing Game about the Nahuales, mythical creatures originated from the Mexican culture. I am quite fascinated by Welcome to Yarnia, as it is the first RPG to combine knitting and role-playing gaming. Next to those there are a plenty other interesting tabletop rpgs being funded likeOverlight, An Atlas of the Horizons, Journey Away, Nagual, Star Crossed, Faxions, Endless Realms, Shattered Tower and Black Void. Yet the gamebook GameTale is interesting as well as the social deduction / party rpg games. Well and there are many, many more cool projects, just take a look:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #73, including every tabletop project started between 03.25 and 04.08.

In regards of the foreign language projects, you might notice that I added quite a lot Portugese projects to the list, because I found the Catarse platform. I am most fascinated by Áureos, a game about Capoeira fighters. I do like the Spanish 1800: El Ocaso de la Humanidad project as well as the Swedish Neotech Edge. The latter might even get an English translation in the long run.
As for the German games, I do gladly support the translation of Dread by System Matters. I am as well intruiged to play a gamebook by, traditional, mail as Schwarzkalten suggests.

Though the core and bulk of this collection, as usual, are still the English games.
I am most intruiged and did back Familiars of Terra. On the one hand because it features quite a lot of cute pets, on the other hand I am intruiged by the system which took notes from PbtA and Blades in the Dark. In regards of Story games you might like to check out The King is Dead, all about the succession of a kingdom, by Vincent and Meguey Baker. Well, or take a look at Wingless. A Powered by the Apocalypse game about angels.
Uprising shouldn’t go without a mention either. It is a game featuring the Fate system whose setting forms from social deduction games The Resistance, Coup, and One Night Revolution. Well, and as we are already in the dark future, maybe take a look at Battlecruiser Alamo RPG. The newest game in the era gameline.
Next to those classical tabletop rpgs I am quite fascinated by the Graphic Novel Adventures gamebook or lets say comicbook. I do like the concept and the realization and artstyle looks cool, I am on the verge of backing.
Fans of Torg should take a look at the Torg: Eternity supplement, while those who are into Exalted 3rd Edition might take interest in the Dragon-Blooded project by Onyx Path.
There are plenty more projects. The very cute Wee Beasties children book, the helpful Backstory Cards, the Metaphor Dice and plenty of projects more., notebooks, dice, pins etc… take a look:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #72 – Part 3 of 3, including every tabletop project started between 03.05 and 03.25.

Thanks to the sheer amount of projects started within the past three weeks, I decided to split the collection into three parts. This part does contains the other half of all the English projects.

In regards to the games I am swayed by Gears of Defiance on the one hand. The d6 system as explained presents an interesting angle to the rather „normal“ steampunk setting, as does the focus upon oppression, family bond and revolution. Given both aspects I decided to back it and recommend a look.
On the other hand there is Imp of the Perverse. A story game inspired by the short story of Edgar Allen Poe. The characters face possession of the titular Imp, who tries to pervert their very being by the offer of power. Transforming them into monsters should it succeed. The characters are not only out to rid themselves of their imp, but to protect society from monsters who fell victim to their vices. The conflict is set in the Jacksonian era of American Gothic. Well and the whole project is something I couldn’t resist backing.
Another interesting game is Dragons Conquer America. Which returned in a second attempt of funding the awesome looking game about the struggle for the Americas – with Dragons! It’s vibrant, colorful, designed with expertise and care and I do really like the project. I supported the previous one, and am currently trying to squeez it into my budget.
Fans of Savage Worlds can look to Savage Tokusatsu to get a game full of Mecha & Kajiu action or to enjoy hunting dinos with The Dinosaur Protocol.
Slayer’s Frontier offers a colorful game that looks like a mix of Slayers – the Anime – and Monster Hunter – the Japanese video game – yet being flexible funding on IndieGoGo sees my interest plummeting. If you rather like Sword & Sorcery you might like to take a look at Heroic Tales of Aglaeca.
In regards of the dice, I do like the design of the Elder Dice and the The Dice Pen looks like a cool idea. Then there is Hermetica – A Library of Occult Symbols, which offers an interesting typefont filled with occult symbols. Well, and if your a fan of D&D 5E, PFRPG or Starfinder you’ll find loads of supplements and adventures.
Next to many more cool projects, just take a look:
