I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #50, which includes every tabletop project started between 08.09 till 08.21.

In regards of English crowdfundings, I do really love Vanagard. A story focused game, in which one assume the roles of curious, anthropomorphic animal like creatures. Second to that I took a liking to SINS, a narrative game in which one assumes the role of powerful ex-dead fighting against monstrosities on a post-apocalyptic earth.
If you fancy over the top, satiric science fiction, just take a look at Iron Skies. Yet you might as well take a look at GROGNARD, a biography of Loren Wiseman.
In regards of the German tabletop RPG projects I do like Protektor a lot. It is a fun approach to Urban Fantasy. Where players play rather regular people with strange animal companions being heroic, or well trying to be. Next to that „Rise of the Dungeon Master“ gets a German translation by Feder & Schwert.

Protektor – Das Rollenspiel um Monsterjäger mit Sockenschuss, abgefahrene Tiergefährten, Klischees und lustige, absurde Situationen.
In it’s own words, Protektor is a game about monster hunters who got a screw loose, eccentric animal companions, tropes and funny, absurd situations. I did watch the YouTube Let’s Play series (German) and grew to like the fun, kind of beer & pretzel, approach of the game. Plus the author, André is an experienced game developer, long time employee of Ulisses Spiele – one of the biggest German tabletop rpg publishers – and he realized some projects of his own.
Thus I backed it and do recommend you to have a look.

The projects asks for help funding the translation of „Rise of the Dungeon Master“ a comic biography of Gary Gygax. I think it will offer an interesting, unique view on history. In regards of the existing conflict, as I read that it tends to be overtly favorable in regards of Garys views (over e.g. Arne views), it may not help, that the German title translates to „The first Game Master“
Yet I still decided to back it, though am a bit on the fence whether or not to remain, because of general budget considerations.

SINS – The Roleplaying Game

A narrative-driven tabletop Roleplaying game focused on telling the stories of powerful beings known as Nemissaries in a dying world.
To be honest, I am not entirely sure why I am fascinated by SINS to a degree that I backed it, despite my tight budget. Yet, I am in. A reason might be the strong, visual design that’s very intriguing. Maybe because the skull has fangs, and I like vampires. Another reason might be a fascination for the system, which appears to be narrative, yet doesn’t rely on aspects. Maybe it’s the setting. It does look quite trotten, though it somehow got me hooked. Maybe it’s all about the name?
Anyways, am in and recommend you take a look and form an opinion of your own.

Iron Sky: The Roleplaying Game

Four years ago, we fought Nazis on the moon. On Valentine’s Day, 2018, we’re bringing you both the sequel and the tabletop RPG!
Next to the impressive movie licence it appears Iron Sky got an interesting system.
For once, the character creation does not only offer the option to do either lifepath or point-buy, but the option to play a small boardgame to create a character. A concept actually new and intriguing.  Than it does sport a d1,000 system. Something strange, yet presented as being actually something that works.
The setting does follow the movie(s). The players fight on the good side (I think), in best of pulp fashion, against Nazis, Reptiloids, Nazireptiloids and stuff like that.
If you like the comedy / satire of Iron Skys or want to see some cool new tabletop RPG system, take a look!

Gauntlets & Goblins

A Role-playing for adults to play with kids. Simple and engaging.
The Kickstarter description is quite short, yet to the point and offers a playtest.
Thus I do recommend it, if you are out on the search for a fantasy RPG for kids. It does look very solid.

Torg Eternity

The classic cinematic multi-genre RPG returns with updated rules, settings, full-color art, and a whole new Possibility War!
Basically its an extension of the TORG Kickstarter by Ulisses North America. The first Kickstarter was solid, as is this project.
If you missed the first one, are a general fan of TORG, were out of money during the original run or hesitating… that thing is your chance. Take a look.

Superhero: 2044 RPG with Miniatures

Superhero: 2044 will allow our superhero fans to unleash their inner hero. Over 275 playable characters with over 700 illustrations.
The game appears to be a quite normal Superhero tabletop RPG. The project is a bit front loading on the description part, yet I think it might be reasonable. Except maybe for the goal.
If you are interested in superhero rpgs, and can look past the author talking a bit smack about past and current ones, give it a chance.

If all you offer me is three short, uninformative paragraph to your tabletop RPG you neither get a picture in this list, nor a recommendation. Maybe the game is great, alas, I don’t know.

Vanagard

Vanagard is a collaborative table-top story telling game.
The newest role-playing game by Andrew Valkauskas (Fate of the Norns, Illuminated Edda) has the players assume the roles of the antropomorphic inhabitants of Vanagards, the Vanafolk. They are creatures made by Freya, goddess of life and death, and generally filled with curiosity and wanderlust. The venture out in groups and solve challenges by working together.
I do consider setting as well as game concept equally refreshing as relaxed. A bit of a rest from the more competitive standard. Without giving me the impression it’s aimed primarily at kids. Though kids should be able to have fun with it as well.
The system utilizes cards and runes. Two mechanics the game designer did use for other games and is comfortable with (and I am confident that it rocks).
The atmossphere is quite unique, bit fairytale like – the old ones – and quite beautiful.
The creator himself did create several Kickstartes before and handled those really well.
Thus I do recommend the project, a lot, and it has my full support. It’s my favorite project of the list and you should give it a look.

The website looks cool, works and is charming. Thus it gets a big fat recommendation of mine.

We’re collecting the editorials (and insights: great reading) of famous game designer and editor Loren Wiseman in book and ebook form.
I personally got no idea who Loren Wiseman is. Probably because I am not really interested in either Traveller or GURPS. Players who like those games, apparently, do know him and consider Loren an outstanding person. Who will be celebrated with this book.
Thus I do recommend it, whether you are a Grognards, a Fan or just interested in game designers.

A RPG Map Compendium and an ultimate art set for tabletop games. Over 165 maps & rooms+ 900+ arts..all I ever did on K’s and more.
Even though I don’t got a clue about maps I am impressed by the sheer quantity alone. The creator offers a really big amount of maps, rooms, tiles, items … that might be enough for a life time. In addition, they do look good and the creator actually knows what he’s doing. Thus, a clean cut recommendation from me for this.

Death Path is multi-player card & dice game set in the near future in which Subjects are forced to navigate through a fearsome maze.
The project is a bit out of the usual. Yet when I checked whether its a secret Targary… a tabletop RPG, I gut engulfed by the labyrinth mechanic. Plus it has different sided dice.
Which is why I included it and do recommend having a look if you are interested in games in general.
