I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #131, including every tabletop rpg project started between 1/19 and 01/26.

With 41 projects started in a week the crowdfunding year is back in full swing, thus let’s start.

2 Women | 12 Games by Elizabeth Chaipraditkul and Steffie de Vaan offers the titular dozen of games, which are already fully developed and will be collected into one book. The games cover a great range of fascinating topics and use rule light mechanics to up to bespoke rules. I couldn’t resist and backed it in a minute. I am as well enticed to back the Trophy RPG. First it offers a one-shot game about doomed trophy hunters. Second it offers a campaign game where the fate of the trophy hunters isn’t sealed from the get go. Last but not least it offers a really nifty setting book for the world the trophy hunters engage in. If you don’t like it as dark, maybe check out Age of Ambition. The setting at the verge from fantasy towards maybe something like the industrial age seems new and interesting. In regards of mechanices it uses the Saga Machine engine and offers lifepath based character creation. World of Ere might be your cup of tea if you like a nice steampunk game based on the OGL licence. I think it looks nice.
If you like your game with a lot of technical integration, take a look at Knuckledragger. The concept looks interesting, apparently offering something like its own Roll20 platform – though it’s a bit to technical for me. Legendaria 2020 on the otherhand provides a nice mixture between ttrpg and a more classical card- or boardgame.
I’d rather like to express a stern warning regarding Mafia Caporegime. The IndieGoGo campaign runs parallel to a doomed Kickstarter, the creator doesn’t communicate and given that the IndieGoGo campaign will take your money directly… I am doubtful that you’ll see a game for it. After noticing the IndieGoGo thing I backed out of the Kickstarter.
There are of course plenty more cool projects like the gamebook Steam Highwayman III. If you are a fan of GURPS, take a look at the sourcebook Dungeon Fantasy Companion 2. Take it fast, because it will end in just a few hours. There are cool projects like Doom on the Warden for Metamorphis Alpha or Outpost 42 for Stars Without Numbers and many, many more cool adventures.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #131 (Zeitraum: 19.01 bis 26.01).

Mit 41 Projekten ist das Crowdfunding Jahr zurück mit vollen Schwung dabei, also auf gehts.

Mit 2 Women | 12 Games bieten Elizabeth Chaipraditkul und Steffie de Vaan gleich ein Dutzend Rollenspiele, die in einem Buch zusammengefasst werden. Die Spiele decken einen breiten Bereich verschiedener Themen ab und sind wohl regelleicht bis gänzlich erzählerisch. Ich konnte nicht wiederstehen und habe es unterstützt. Ebenso bin ich versucht das Trophy RPG zu unterstützen. Es bietet einerseits ein One-Shot Spiel um verzweifelte Personen die einen Schatz suchen und scheitern. Andererseits kann man, wenn es einem zu düster ist, eine Kampagne mit ungewissen Ausgang spielen. Nun oder man gönnt sich einfach das coole Settingbuch. Age of Ambition bietet ein Setting welches eine Fantasywelt an Grenze des Umbruchs von quasi Fäntelalter zu Steampunk bzw. industriellerer Zeit bietet, was ein spannender Ansatz ist. Mechanisch setzt es auf dem Saga Machine system auf und bietet eine Lifepath orientierte Charaktererschaffung. Wenn man ein klares Steampunk System haben mag, sollte man sich World of Ere anschauen. Das Spiel verwendet die OGL als Basis und schaut ganz nett aus.
Wer ein App-gestütztes Rollenspiel haben mag, sollte sich vielleicht Knuckledragger anschauen, wobei mich persönlich der Ansatz mehr verwirrt. Vielleicht ist es etwas für technisch versierte Spieler. Legendaria 2020 wiederum ist eine Mischung aus Rollenspiel und Karten bzw. Gesellschaftsspiel die interessant aussieht.
Vor dem IndieGoGo Projekt zu Mafia Caporegime würde ich eher warnen. Es läuft parallel zu einem erfolglosen Kickstarter Kampagne und zieht einem als flexible Funding das Geld direkt ab. Der/Die Macher gehen auch nicht auf Rückfragen ein. Es wirkt nicht vertrauenserweckend.
Es gibt natürlich auch weitere coole Projekte, wie das Spielbuch Steam Highwayman III. Fans von GURPS können sich mit dem Ergänzungsband Dungeon Fantasy Companion 2 über neues Material freuen, sollten aber schnell sein, da das Projekt nicht mehr lange läuft. Daneben gibt es Abenteuer wie Doom on the Warden für Metamorphis Alpha, Outpost 42 für Stars Without Numbers und viele weitere coole Abenteuer, die ihr hier findet:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #130, including every tabletop rpg project started between 01/12 and 01/19.

You’ll find that there are only 3 projects for full games been started since the last collection, yet there are still plenty cool projects.

First there is High Colonies, a hard SciFi game by the creators of HarnMaster. Humanity managed to finally and ultimately ruin earth and thus had to retreat into a few space stations – now called High Colonies. Effectively reducing the population to just a meager 20 million people. The players will explore space, the relations between the High Colonies and may direct the future of humanity. While I don’t exactly got a Hard Sci-Fi vive from the cover, more like 70s or 80s covers – though the setting sounds interesting.. Take a look. Then there is 2d6 Adventures which offers classical fantasy with a 2d6 system as mentioned in the title. Players apparently roll up their character, who’ll be described in 12 numbers, and may choose a class (one of 30) that fit them based on their results. Last but not least there is Strange Things Afoot, a Urban Horror role-playing game that incorporates creepypasta style stories. The player assume the role of teenagers, college students and try to fight supernatural creatures called tulpas. These tulpas need to be known and use the internet to spread the word, well and the net can be utilized to fight them. Sadly the project doesn’t talk about the system, but directs the interested player to DTRPG for further infos.
If you are more looking for a setting, take a look at the Very Pretty Paleozoic Pals: Permian Nations for the Troika RPG. There are fore sure not a lot of paleozoic settings and this one looks colorful, creative and fun – without being to stupid. If that’s to sweet for you, check out the Never Going Home Campaign Dossiers. Considering it offers scenarios, campaigns for cthulhoid horror during World War I. I got the core game, am tempted myself and do highly recommend it!
Then there are nice Dragon Scale Dice made from metal. You can roll them behind the exquiste Fire Dragon Valhalla Screen by Dog Might Games and put them through the rad looking Wizard’s Tower by Hexwood instead of simply rolling them. If you are more looking for a calender that communicates your love for dice, check out the Make 100 Calendar Dice, you might find a fitting notebook in the Roverbook. There are other projects like the Arkanos Card Set or the Full-Color Custom Miniatures with Hero Forge 2.0 – a project that’s going through the roof.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #130 (Zeitraum: 12.01 bis 19.01).

In dieser Kurzübersicht findet ihr zwar nur 3 Rollenspiele, dafür jedoch viele weitere coole Projekte.

High Colonies ist ein Hard SciFi System von den Machern von HarnMaster. Die Menschheit wurde auf knapp 20 Millionen Personen reduziert und verteilt sich über einige Space Stationen die als High Colonies verteilt. Es hat für mich den interessantesten Ansatz, wobei das Cover mich nicht ganz vom „hard“-Aspekt des SF überzeugt. 2d6 Adventures wiederum bietet ein klassisches Fantasy-Setting und untermauert dies mit einem 2w6 basierten Würfelsystem. Die finanzierte Werke verteilen sich entsprechend dem von D&D etablierten Modell, die Klasse des eigenen Charakters kann man wohl auf Basis der 12 erwürfelten Werte auswerten. Daneben kann man mit Strange Things Afoot ein Urban Horror Rollenspiel welches sich Creepypasta annimmt. Das heißt, man untersucht und arbeitet gegen Kreaturen die über eine Art Konsensus existieren. Das ganze bindet das Internet ein und klingt durchaus interessant. Wobei die Charaktere Jugendliche sind. Man findet auf Kickstarter leider keine Hinweise zum System und kann hierfür wohl basierend auf dem Video das DTRPG Portfolio des Machers durchwühlen.
Wer ein Setting sucht, der sollte ein Blick auf das Very Pretty Paleozoic Pals: Permian Nations für das Troika RPG haben. Es gibt sicherlich nicht allzuviele paläozoische Settings und das ganze sieht überaus bunt, kreativ und humorvoll aus – ohne total blöd zu wirken. Die Never Going Home Campaign Dossiers sind das direkte Gegenteil davon. Als ergänzende Szenarien bzw. Kampagnen für Never Going Home bietet es cthulhuoiden Horror zur Zeit des ersten Weltkriegs. Ich habe das Grundregelwerk bzw. die Box und kann es nur empfehlen! Wer Würfel mag, sollte sich ggf. die Dragon Scale Dice anschauen, deren Optik mich durchaus anspricht. Wenn man das Budget hat, kann man sich gleich den Fire Dragon Valhalla Spielleiterschirm von Dog Might Games backen. Es ist nur über Kickstarter erhältlich und schaut rad aus. Ebenso wie der Wizard’s Tower Würfeltool von Hexwood. Extentrischer ist da noch der Kalender in Würfelform welchen das Make 100 Calendar Dice Projekt bietet.
Es gibt viele weitere coole Projekte, Dinge wie das Arkanos Card Set, die Full-Color Custom Miniatures with Hero Forge 2.0 das durch die Decke geht oder das Notizbuch Roverbook, neben vielen, vielen weiteren die ihr hier findet:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #125, including every tabletop rpg project started between 11/24 and 12/15.

After I attended Dragonmeet and been to a work related training, I am back with about 40 projects. Sadly, thanks to the timespan, some projects closed before I could report on them and some are quite close to finishing, thus, let’s get to it.

The Children of Eriu is a new game placed in the setting of Fate of the Norns. It offers a very celtic setting and a very cool fitting tarot deck. Next to a very rich background, stunning illustrations it has an interesting and tested system, which is based on drawing rune stones. The creator Andrew Valkauskas is experienced with delivering projects and I do recommend it highly. If you are looking for a game fitting for the upcoming holidays, that includes the Krampus, take a look at ‚TWAS – The Roleplaying Game Before Christmas. It offers a rules-light system, which you use to play sentinent toys that are out to rescue Santa. The game is done by Jonathan Green and based on the game book by the same name, the idea is neat and the presentation interesting. I do recommend to check it out. If you’ll like something more futuristic, take a look at Retropunk, which is a cyberpunk game that has a system inspired a bit by PbtA and more by Blades in the Dark. I like the idea and am actually quite very tempted. Then there’s Hardboot, a D&D 5E game, where you’ll play videogame characters who gotta fight. The project doesn’t appear convincing to me and I do would advice caution.
There are plently of other project. For example I am considering the Memento Mori / Memento Vivere campaign, which might have a small rules-light system to fit. There are beautiful dice like the Solid Brass Rainbow Serpentine Dice by Polyhydra or those from the LUMO project.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #125 (Zeitraum: 24.11 and 15.12).

Nach einer kleinen arbeitsbedingten Pause, bin ich zurück mit rund 40 Projekten. Leider sind aufgrund des nahenden Weihnachten einige Projekte bereits zu Ende, oder kurz vor dem Ende. Daher schnell zu ihnen.

The Children of Eriu ist ein Rollenspiel im Universum von Fate of the Norns. Es bietet ein durch und durch keltisches Setting, mit einem coolen Tarotdeck. Neben dem reichen Hintergrund, prächtigen Illustrationen gibt es ein interessantes Spielsystem, welches auf dem ziehen von Runensteinen beruht. Darüberhinaus ist der Macher, Andrew Valkauskas sehr Kickstarter erprobt, weshalb ich es herzlich empfehle. Wer wiederum ein Rollenspiel passend zu Weihnachten – und mit Krampus – sucht sollte ‚TWAS – The Roleplaying Game Before Christmas in Augenschein nehmen. Es ist ein regelleichtes Rollenspiel von Jonathan Green und basierend auf dessen gleichnamigen Spielbuch ‚TWAS, bei dem man als lebendige Spielzeuge versucht Santa aus den Klauen des Krampus zu befreien. Eine coole Idee, die dazu noch im Video sehr stylische Illustrationen hat, bei der ich versucht bin mitzumachen. Retropunk wiederum ist eine ähnlich kurzlaufende Kickstarter Kampagne für ein sehr interessant wirkendes Cyberpunksytem. So lehnt man sich hierbei sowohl etwas an PbtA, mehr aber noch an Blades in the Dark an. Ich bin durchaus ebenfalls versucht. Hardboot wiederum setzt auch im Science Fiction Genre an, und man spielt Computerfiguren die in ihren Welten kämpfen. Die Projektbeschreibung ist sehr kurz gehalten und überzeugt mich nicht. Ich würde zur Vorsicht raten.
Daneben gibt es coole weitere Projekte, so überlege ich mir die Kampagne Memento Mori / Memento Vivere zu unterstützen, welche wohl auch als kleines eigenes System funktioniert. Es gibt super hübsche Würfel wie die Solid Brass Rainbow Serpentine Dice von Polyhydra  oder die aus dem LUMO Projekt.
Daneben gibt es viele weitere coole Settings, Ergänzungsbände, Abenteuer und viele, viele weitere Projekte. Schaut selbst:

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #124, including every tabletop rpg project started between 11/03 and 11/24.

As I had to take a two weeks vacation brake, the collection has about 90 projects, so let’s get to them.

If you are interested in original German tabletop rpgs, you might like to have a look at Milan. Well, and if you like some maps, you might like to checkout Jannasaras Kartentasche.

Back to the English projects, I’d like to start with Electric Bastionland. The game from the creator of Into the Odd presents a fascinating setting, in which one plays a character that failed badly and is in debt – basically being the perfect person to go onto adventures to solve their problems. I would guess that the system is rather lite, OSR inspired and am tempted to back it. Then there’s Res Obscura a steampunk fantasy rpg set during the Victorian age. The project doesn’t talk alot about its system, though its being translated from Italian. If we move somewhat ahead in time, we’ll come to Lightning War. It’s set during World War II, yet has fantasy creatures included. Well, and systemwise  it takes inspiration from Skirmish games. If you prefer your fantasy more classic, without real history spice, check out Quest. Which offers quite some expose on its d20 mechanics. If your looking for a narrative game, check out One More Thing. It’s a two player game, in which a criminal case is solved. Putting the emphazise square on the „how“ and not the „if“-which is a given.  Then there’s Charm. Offering a universal game fit to play every kind of character in any Genre. It does look charming indeed.
The Curse of the House of Rookwood offers an intruiging Gothic Horror role-playing game. It sees the players playing characters within a family, where everyone has things to hide and skeletons in the closed – maybe even literal. I am enticed by the setting, the focus on family and generational play and couldn’t resist it. I do recommend having a look. Vaesen offers another take on the Gothic Horror genre.  It uses nordic mythologie as the bases for its setting, yet diverges from the common stuff I knew beforehand, making it a fresh take. The ruleset is an adapted version of the Tales of the Loop one. I do recommend having a look at it.
VIGOR: Into the Dust is a game for those who prefer post-apocalyptic settings, which aren’t nighlistic and drab. Yet Vigors setting gives me a Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and the system is character forward and focused on survival and getting the community to thrive. Which has me considering backing it. The Ruin on the other hand offers a more classical post-apocalypse, focusing on survival horror. It does use a D&D 5E inspired system, which you can checkout by their quickstart. Thus, take a look. Then there’s Aftermath, which has an apocalyptic setting, yet a rather sparse description. If you want to get more information on it, check the video.
Then there are quite some Urban Fantasy games, like Of Dreams and Magic 2nd Edition: The Waking World. The concept of a world, overlayered by a dream world. Which does look fascinating and reminds me a bit of Invisible Sun, just more accessible. I recommend having a look at it.  Then there is Onyx Path, granting Mummy: The Curse a 2nd edition. In this Chronicles of Darkness game you assume the role of an eternal, timeless Mummy which is effectively immortal and possesses a cult. You can take a look at the manuscript of the book once you backed and I recommend having a look. Another good call would be backing the City of Mist: Starterbox. It offers you everything to play the cool mix of the PbtA and Fate system to play essentially urban fantasy coded superheroes. Though, if you rather like to play Power Rangers, Sailor Moon Warriors or similar teams check out If Not Us, Then Who?. It uses an interesting card based system.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Blood Feud is a „Mega Board Game“ and thus unites aspects of role-playing games, card games and a mega game. The game is made for 4 up to 32 players, which have four different station to vie for controll of the city. I do think that the idea is very cool, the miniatures are plently and nice and the box is neatly fit. I backed it and would like to recommend it very highly! Especially as it has only hours, under three days, left.
The Wishing Sigil is on the clock as well. Basically you’ll get a story prompt for every advent day, and thus basically solo-play a little campaign. I think it’s a cool idea and close enough to role-playing. Have a look and form your own mind.
There are many more, cool projects. You can participate in the Patreon from DavidTvGames and help him develop gaming resources, you might be interesting in backing the sourcebook The Islands of Sina which is inspired by Philipine myths, well or fall for the fascinating, glittering Dispel Dice – which almost got me, maybe build a tower with TURRIM Dice or keep track of your game with the Spin Dice and Gaming Gizmos counters. There is fascinating stuff like the Tome Tote, which doubles as book cover and dice tray and very cool Deckboxes that I actually backed.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #124 (Zeitraum: 03.11 and 24.11).

Nach drei Wochen mit sehr vielen Projekten, weshalb ich auch gleich zur Sache kommen mag.

Milan wird ein originär deutsches Rollenspiel aus dem Borealis Verlag. In dem Setting sind die Charaktere teil einer Untergrundorganisation und können sich mit phantastischen verschiedenen Abenteuern stellen. Von der Antike über die wilden 20ern, in der Gegenwart bis hin zur Zukunft. Das Spiel bietet eine zügige Charakter-Erschaffung und die Option für die Verwendung von komplexeren Regeln. Ich bin versucht mitzumachen. Pathfinder 2 – Zeitalter der Verlorenen Omen aus dem Ulisses Verlag bietet im Grunde alles was man zum Einstieg in die neue Edition braucht. Wenn man für eins seiner Spieler Karten sucht, sollte man einen Blick auf Jannasaras Kartentasche aus dem Donnerhaus haben. Ich habe bisher exzellente Erfahrungen mit den Karten von ihnen gemacht, und mag es daher empfehlen. Auch kann man mit der Staffel 2 für das Gasthaus Zum rollenden Würfel eine Rollenspielrunde unterstützen, die auf YouTube spielt.

Bei den englischsprachigen Rollenspiel mag ich zunächst auf Electric Bastionland hinweisen. In dem Spiel, vom Macher von Into the Odd, spielt man Figuren die kräftig versagt und Schulden haben. Die Welt ist faszinierend gestaltet und ich fühle mich durchaus etwas versucht. Das System ist wahrscheinlich leicht und OSR nahe. Res Obscura wiederum ist ein Fantasy-RPG das in einem fiktiven viktorianischen Zeitalter spielt, mit einer ordentlichen Portion Steampunk. Das Spiel verrät nicht viel über das System, wird jedoch auch in italienisch erhältlich sein. Wenn wir etwas in der Zeit voran gehen, landen wir bei Lightning War. Einem Rollenspiel mit Skirmish Elementen, das in einem zweiten Weltkrieg mit Fantasykreaturen ansetzt. Klassische Fantasy, ohne Realwelt Bezüge, bekommt man in Quest geboten. Welches einem auch detaillierte Einsichten in das geplante W20 System gibt. Wenn man wiederum eher ein narratives Spiel sucht, kann man in One More Thing Kriminalfälle lösen. Wobei es nicht um die Frage geht „das man den Fall löst“ sondern viel mehr um das „wie man den Fall gelöst hat“. Ein charmanter Ansatz für zwei Spieler. Charm wiederum bietet ein universelles Rollenspiel, mit dem man jeglichen Charakter in jeglichen Genre spielen können soll. Es sieht recht charmant aus.
The Curse of the House of Rookwood bietet ein Gothic Horror Rollenspiel, bei dem man eine Familie spielt, bei der jeder hinreichend viele Skelette im Schrank hat – manche davon wortwörtlich. Mit gefällt der übernatürliche Aspekt und das generationenlange Spiel. Weshalb ich mit Begeisterung dabei bin. Vaesen bietet ebenfall Gothic Horror, setzt diesen jedoch auf nordischer Mythologie auf. Es wirkt hierbei durchaus frisch und das verwendete Regelset, angelehnt an Tales of the Loop, hat sich bewiesen. Ich mag es empfehlen.
VIGOR: Into the Dust wiederum ist ein Spiel für alle die es post-apokalyptisch mögen, aber nicht zu düster. Weshalb es mit einem Setting, das mich vom Stil her vage an Nausicaä erinnert, sich auf das überleben und die Weiterentwicklung konzentriert. Dazu verwendet es ein durchaus interessantes W6 basiertes System, was mich durchaus alles in Versuchung führt. The Ruin wiederum bringt eine klassischere Post-Apokalypse, mit Überlebens-Horror und allem. Es verwendet die Regeln der 5. Edition und bietet einen Quickstart. Weshalb ich gerne einen Blick empfehle. Aftermath ist das letzte der RPGs mit apoklyptischen Themen. Die Projektbeschreibung gibt nicht gerade viel her, und am ehesten kann man sich Infos aus dem Video ziehen, wenn man will.
Wenn man lieber Urban Fantasy mag, sollte man einen Blick auf Of Dreams and Magic 2nd Edition: The Waking World haben. Das Konzept einer Welt, bei der es quasi eine drüber liegende Traumwelt gibt, wirkt interessant und erinnert mich etwas an Invisible Sun. Wobei das Spiel auf mich zugänglicher wirkt und durchaus einen Blick verdient hat. Mummy: The Curse 2nd Edition ist das neuste Projekt von Onyx Path und finanziert die zweite Edition des Chronicles of Darkness Spiel. Man spielt hierbei eine zeitlose und recht unsterbliche Mummie, was wie ich finde eine durchaus interessante Idee ist. Das Manuskript steht und ich empfehle bei Interesse einen Blick. Mit City of Mist: Starterbox bekommt man alles was man für das Spielen von City of Mist braucht. Einem Urban Fantasy Spiel mit Superhelden Noir Einschlag, dessen Regeln auf PbtA und Fate basieren. Zuletzt gibt es in der Kategorie noch If Not Us, Then Who?, wenn man quasi Power Ranger, Sailor Kriegerinnen und sowas spielen möchte. Wofür es ein kartenbasiertes Rollenspiel bietet.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Blood Feud ist ein „Mega Brettspiel“ und vereint Aspekte eines Rollenspiel, Megaspiels und Kartenspiel in einer coolen Box. An vier Stationen kämpfen die Spieler – 4 bis 32 – um die Kontrolle der Stadt. Ich finde den Inhalt der Box super-cool, die Miniaturen überzeugend und das Spielkonzept interessant. Weshalb ich es unterstützt habe und herzlich empfehlen möchte! Es läuft nur noch knapp drei Tage!
The Wishing Sigil hat ebenfalls nur noch Stunden bevor es abläuft. Im Grunde bekommt man hierbei an jeden Advent-Tag ein Story-Prompt und kann entlang dessen entsteht eine Geschichte. Etwas das ich durchaus spannend und Rollenspielnahe finde.
Daneben gibt es noch viele weitere coole Projekte. So kann man DavidTvGames dabei unterstützen Rollenspielmaterial zu entwickeln, über den Ergänzungsband The Islands of Sina ein durch philippinische Mythen geprägtes Setting erhalten, mit den Dispel Dice faszinierend, funkelnde Würfel erhalten oder gleich einen Turm aus Würfel mit den TURRIM Dice bauen während man mit dem Spin Dice and Gaming Gizmos Stati nach hält. Es gibt faszinierende Dinge wie das Tome Tote, welches als Buchumschlag und Würfelbecher dient und nützliche wie die Deckboxes die ich unterstützte.
Daneben gibt es super viele weitere, lohnende Projekte, die teilweise sehr bald enden, schaut selbst:

Crowdfunding Collection #123

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #123, including every tabletop rpg project started between 10/30 and 11/03.

Despite the last collection been just 4 days ago, you’ll find that there are 22 projects included in this. As for the next, it might get delayed for three weeks, or a bit more, since I will take a trip to The Night in Question – which effectively will take two weekends as I’ll again take a small US vacation.

First of all, I’d like to direct your attention towards the German translation of Lovecraftesque. If you like to support the game line abroad, if you do speak German, take a look. The publisher is new, I do think reliable, and needs some more support.
In regards of English language projects, there’s the Dark V01D Science Fiction ttrpg. A project from Germany that is presented and offered in English. The SF setting is visibly inspired by the 80s and the system developed of from The Dark Eye. Though the creator chose a more narrative approach with just keeping the combat practical. It should be worth having a look. Then there is Mystic Lilies, a card based game, which focussed on the dramatic conflict among witches and dark arts. The author referes Monsterhearts, Touhou Project, Bayonetta and Madoka Magica as points of references. While I don’t consider Bayonetta as dramatic – imho it’s more like „Fucking stylish, in your FACE Fucker! BOW BOW BOW“-drama than eny of the other – I find my self really intruiged by the concept presented and recommend having a look. Then there’s Moonpunk, a PbtA game, in which you play different kinds of punks rebelling on the moon. The game comes in the form of a punk-zine and does look interesting.
Then there are two Larps, Hi-Ho! aims to offers a fun single-player Larp. Though going by the video it can be played with oneself and a quite literal socketpuppet. A nice, rather inexpensive, idea that might be worth having a look at. System 7 offers a sytem, from the looks card based, for Larps and ttrpgs, with the opportunity to simulate any genre from fantasy to vampires. Which does make it interesting.
Then you’ll find Leopard Women of Venus for DCC among the settings. As the name indicates it revels in a Golden Age comic book approach and has women riding through space on dragon-crocodiles while shooting fire/lasers from their helmets. Which lookes like ridiculously absurd fun. Just take a look. I personally, for now, pledged for the Super Blood Harvest adventure. It’s a collection of actually three modules, I guess setting up on a supposed OSR rule set, yet very stylish and with vampires. Well, and if I had a 3D printer I might have pledged for the very cool looking Draconic Dice Crypts STL files.

Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #123

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #123 (Zeitraum: 30.10 bis 03.11).

Obwohl nur 4 Tage seit der letzten Kurzübersicht vergangen sind, haben sich nicht weniger als 22 Projekten. Die nächste Kurzübersicht kann sich ggf. um drei Wochen verzögern.

Zurück zu den Projekten, gibt es gleich drei Projekte aus Deutschland. Zunächst schickt sich der brandneue SchmetterTing Verlag an die Übersetzung von Lovecraftesque zu finanzieren. Das Spiel bietet einen sehr erzählerischen Ansatz an die Cthulhu Thematik und funktioniert völlig ohne Würfel oder Charakterwerte. Stattdessen übernehmen SL wie Spieler verschiedene Rollen um die Geschichte zu formen. Dieser Ansatz klingt sehr spannend und läßt sich eventuell auch nehmen um „Interview mit einem Vampir“ nach zustellen, da die Mechanik auf dem Gespräch zwischen Erzähler und Zeugin bezieht, während weitere Spieler die Rolle von Beobachtern übernehmen. Wenn man sich zur Unterstützung entscheidet erhält man einen Schnellstarter für den näheren Einblick. Der Verlag ist frisch, hat jedoch sehr erfahrene Mitwirkende. Weshalb ich das Projekt unbedingt empfehle! Auch weil das Crowdfunding kein Marketing Instrument ist, sondern elementar für den Fortbestand des Verlag und Realisierung der Übersetzung.
Deutlich mehr ein Marketing-Projekt ist HeXXen 1733 – Die Deutschen Lande. So ist der Ergänzungsband zu dem Crowdfunding-Erfolg von Ulisses auch bereits um über 500% überfinanziert.
Daneben gibt es mit Dark V01D Science Fiction ein Rollenspiel aus Deutschland das sowohl auf Englisch als auch auf Deutsch erscheint. Das Spiel bietet ein eigenes Science Fiction Setting, welches sich ästhethisch an den 80ern anlehnt. Hinsichtlich des System basierte es, früher einmal, auf Das Schwarze Auge. Allerdings hat sich der Macher für ein deutlich erzählerisches System entschiedet, welches aber noch einen taktischen Kampf bietet. Das Projekt ist ganz interessant, und ich empfehle einen Blick.

Unter den englischen Projekten gibt es zunächst Mystic Lilies, ein Karten basiertes Rollenspiel rund um dramatische Konflikte von dystren Hexen. Der Autor nennt Monsterhearts, Touhou Project, Bayonetta und Madoka Magica als Referenz. Wobei von Bayonetta am ehesten die Ästhetik und das Konfliktpotential überlebt – zumindest ich nehme die Serie weniger als „dramatisch“ als „dramatisch auf’s Maul [der Feinde]“ wahr. Dennoch wirkt das Projekt sehr spannend, und der Einsatz eines Poker-Deck interessant. Ich empfehle einen Blick.  Moonpunk wiederum ist ein Powered by Apocalypse Rollenspiel im Punk-Magazine Format bei dem man rebelliert. Halt als Punks auf dem Mond. Was durchaus interessant klingt.
Hi-Ho! wiederum ist ein Larp das man mit sich selbst spielen kann. Das heißt wohl, mit sich selbst und einer wortwörtlichen Sockenpuppe. Die abgefahrene Idee ist immerhin mit gerade mal 5$ bzw. 9$ recht günstig. Dementgegen ist System 7 sowohl ein Larp als auch ein Rollenspiel System mit vielfältigen Genremöglichkeiten, das auf Karten basiert.
Unter den Settings gibt es diesmal Leopard Women of Venus für DCC. Das Buch bietet die titelgebenden Frauen die auf Krokodil-Drachen durch den Weltraum surfen und aus ihrem Helm feuer schießen – also Golden Age Comic Action wie man sie liebt. Ich empfehle einen Blick. Ich persönlich habe einmal unter etwas Vorbehalt Super Blood Harvest unterstützt. Die Sammlung von drei Abenteuer, wohl im OSR-Stil, sieht cool aus und bietet immerhin Vampire. Nun, und hätte ich einen 3D-Drucker, würde ich vielleicht bei Draconic Dice Crypt zuschlagen, die doch arg cool aussehen.
