I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #144, including every tabletop rpg project started between 05/24 and 06/14.

This week I feature the projects of the past three weeks since my last Collection left up until last Sunday. You will find that some projects are at an impending end.

There are two projects from Germany that I would like to briefly mention. On the one hand Rettet den Brettspielplatz aims to save a game cafe in Berlin. Which is a nice cause to support. Another projects offers Gelatinous Soap, that include dice. It is just from German, and offers an English project page. Check it out.

Onto the game projects, Alice is Missing offers a fascinating approach. The narrative game, focused on the disapperance of a highschool girl, is played via text messages, while still being a ttrpg. Which is quite novel. Then there is a bit more lighthearted game with Garden of the Giants. You’ll take the roles of mice in a magical gard, being up for some small adventures. The game offers a lot of ready made scenarios and plot, including phases of the day with an active gardner. Check it out. Scaling up from a garden to a hills, The Hike That Binds Us RPG tackles the topic of the survival of a longterm hike. The d6 game has a really, really cool presentation of game material, and I am actually in. If you are looking for a superheroe game, that’s colorful and ain’t „darkque“, take a look at Super High School RPG. While designed for the whole family, it does ~ in my opinion ~ don’t look ‚to focused‘ on kids or edgy teens. Then there is the Maximum Apocalypse RPG. Which offers a post-apo setting and where you can check out the d100 based rules in a quickstart. Maybe you want to check out the game for free? Then take a look at the Miracle RPG. It combines science and magic, and seems nice. There is a PKMN RPG, which I won’t feature in a bigger fashion for obvious copyright challenges.
If you like scyfy, check out the light OSR cyberpunk game Dancing With Bullets Under a Neon Sun. It really has cool looks. Though maybe you like some lowlevel, humrous SF, too? Then NerdBirds has you covered with strange birds in a narrative d6 game.
There are some games, that dip their toes into being a tabletoprpg, while having some other elements. Like Legends Of Dragons which is an almost normal ttrpg, with some quite strong card game elements. Even more of a tabletop game offers Mini Rogue. Basically going rogue-like dungeon crawling on a table. Well and last but not least, there is Eila and Something Shiny – a quite tabletopy-gamebook game.
If you prefer your gamebooks as good old game books, check out the Wanderer Gamebook+! It follow the tradition etablished by Lone Wolf and offers a cool fantasy adventure.
There are cool settings like Tug of Titans, which offers a system neutral city with intrigues and everything, or the Legendlore setting by Onyx Path, which brings the popular comic series to D&D 5E. If you like magical folklore, classes, rituals and more to your game, check out the Folk Magic of the Haven Isles supplement. Which is designed for the Midderlands game, but can be used for any fantasy group. Specific to KULT you can check out the Horror Guide & Scenario Collection or, if you want to supplement your Savage World game check out The Savage Sign 02. There are quite cool deck of cards like the Truly Wild Magic or Architects of the Deep sets. Well, and I like the The Electronic Age Core Dice, because they got stuff stuffed in.

Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #144

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #144 (Zeitraum: 24.05 bis 14.06).

In dieser Woche stelle ich die Projekte der letzten drei Wochen vor, also jene seit der letzten Kurzübersicht bis Montag. Erneut gilt das einige Projekte nicht mehr lange haben. Schlagt also eher schnell zu!

Zunächst mag ich auf zwei Projekte aus Deutschland hinweisen. So gibt es mit Rettet den Brettspielplatz ein Spielcafé in Berlin zu unterstützen und vor dem schließen zu bewahren. Ein cooles Projekt, und gerade in Zeiten von COVID-19 imho recht wichtig. Daneben kommt die Würfelseife Gelatinous Soap aus Mönchengladbach, und hat durchaus auch einen Blick verdient.

Unter den englischsprachigen Projekten finde ich Alice is Missing bemerkenswert. In dem Pen & Paper Rollenspiel kommunizieren die Spieler mittels Textnachrichten, anstelle miteinander zu sprechen. Wobei es  sich hinsichtlich des Setting darum dreht das in einem verschlafenen Ort eine Schülerin verschwunden ist. Eine durchaus spannende Idee. Einen kleineren, und leichtherzigeren Ansatz findet man wiederum in Garden of the Giants, wobei man Mäuse in einem magischen Garten spielt. Das Spiel bietet über ein dutzend Szenarien und Plots, eine Aufgliederung des Tages in Phasen und ich finde es sehr, sehr cool und bin versucht. Schaut es euch an. Wenn man vom Kleinen hin zu den luftigen Höhen mag, sollte man einen Blick auf das The Hike That Binds Us Rollenspiel haben. Bei dem Spiel geht es, wie der Titel bereits andeutet, über das gemeinsame erklimmen von Bergen, sowie das überleben der Unternehmung. Das ganze nutzt ein einfaches W6 System und wirkt (auf mich) überraschend interessant. Nachdem es vergleichsweise günstig ist, bin ich dabei. Wer W6 mag, und Super Helden, sollte einen Blick auf das Super High School RPG haben. Das Spiel bietet einen farbenfrohen Ansatz zum Genre, und ist für alle Altersklassen geeignet, ohne so zu wirken als wollte es die Gruppe hauptsächlich ansprechen. Fans von post apokalyptischen Spielen wiederum, sollten einen Blick auf Maximum Apocalypse RPG haben. Man kann die Regeln, welche W100 verwenden, in einem Schnellstarter betrachten, und es sieht gut aus. Wer wiederum Science und Magic kombinieren mag, sollte einen Blick auf das Miracle Rollenspiel probieren. Die Präsentation ist ein wenig textlastig, aber man kann das Spiel bereits kostenlos ausprobieren. Es gibt zudem noch The PKMN RPG, allerdings werde ich es aufgrund von offensichtlichen Copyright Problemen nicht näher featuren.
Wenn man Science Fiction mag, bietet sich zunächst das leichte Cyberpunk Rollenspiel Dancing With Bullets Under a Neon Sun an. Das Spiel ist eher regelleicht und rechnet sich der OSR zu. Alternativ gibt es NerdBirds, welches eher „geerdete“ und humorvolle SF um komische Vögel bietet. Das Spiel ist W6 basiert und eher narrativ.
Daneben gibt es einige Spiele zwischen Rollenspiel… und anderen Spielformen. So verbindet Legends Of Dragons normales RPG mit einem starken Kartenfokus. Noch stärker brettspielig ist Mini Rogue. Welches Dungeon Crawling mit Videospiel Rogue-Likes kombiniert. Last but not least, bietet Eila and Something Shiny ein brettspieliges Spielbuch Rollenspiel.
Wenn man seine Spielbücher lieber ganz traditionell mag, sollte man bei dem Wanderer Gamebook+ zu schlagen. Das traditionelle Fantasy Abenteuer im Stil der Lone Wolf Bücher bietet.
Daneben gibt es coole Settings, wie Tug of Titans, bei dem man eine Systemneutrale Stadt mit Intrigen und allen drum und dran kriegt, oder das Legendlore Setting von Onyx Path, welche die populäre Comic Serie für D&D 5E aufarbeitet. Folk Magic of the Haven Isles wiederum bietet viel Folklore, Klassen und Setting Elemente für Magier fokussiertes Spiel und bereichtert neben den Midderlands auch allgemein Fantasy Runden, wohingegen die Horror Guide & Scenario Collection sich ganz dem Horror Rollenspiel KULT widmet und es mit The Savage Sign 02 einen coolen Band für Savage Worlds gibt. Es gibt sehr coole Karten wie das Truly Wild Magic oder Architects of the Deep. Mir gefallen die The Electronic Age Core Dice Würfel und die Role Rollenspielplattform hat einen Blick verdient.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #143, including every tabletop rpg project started between 05/17 and 05/24.

This collection spans back over 4 weeks and doesn’t include the last week. I still going to publish it, as next week more projects will have ended, and my current health state prevents me to add a full week of projects to complete it.
I hope you still enjoy the overview, and if you see a project you are interested in, act fast, it might be soon ending!

The Littlebox RPGs projects offers two roleplaying games in one small, tarotset sized box. The games are narrative, don’t require a gamemaster and are designed to be able to be played right out of the deck. The game Villagesong addresses change and leadership and the game Our Mundane Supernatural Life addresses the challenged of day to day challenges. I like the games, the concept and recommend you having a look at the project. Then there’s Tian Shang: Lone Wolf Fists, which serves ones need for high-octane KungFu action in a post-apocalyptic world. The system is designed to be fast and dynamic, while the setting reminds me of Fist of the North Star. Cool. Then there is The Epic of Dreams RPG. The game offers a fantasy setting and more interestingly some quite interesting mechanics. Like, you don’t need a character sheet and the system is based on guessing a number. Which might sound aloof, but it appears the game has been written and tested, thus I do recommend it.
If you are looking for a solo game, check out Red Bean: Dragon Slayer. It uses a poker deck with comic illustrations and I am strongly tempted to back it.
Larpers should check out the Crescendo Giocoso Ritornello collection of 12 small Larps. I backed, received and enjoyed the predessesor to the project, and thus wholeheartedly recommend it.
There are many more cool projects. For example the dynamic library dungeon The Stygian Library, the nice looking HYPERBOREA DICE and the FATUM set of cards. Fatum allows to for the creation of backgrounds for characters in fantasy games in general, as well as D&D 5E specifically. Something that I consider very cool, and where I am tempted.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #143 (Zeitraum: 17.05 bis 24.05).

Diese Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht reicht 4 Wochen zurück und enthält nicht die letzte Woche. Ich mag sie dennoch veröffentlichen, da es eine Woche später zu spät ist, und es mir aktuell nicht gut genug geht, um sie komplett zu machen.
Genießt sie dennoch, und wenn ihr ein Projekt seht, schlagt schnell zu, da es wahrscheinlich bald endet!

Zunächst finanziert Ulisses Spiele mit Pathfinder 2 – Zeit der Asche einen neuen Abenteuerpfad für Pathfinder. Wobei hervorzuheben ist, dass dies der erste orginär deutsche Abenteuerpfad ist. Fans von Pathfinder, und vielleicht auch Dungeons & Dragons, sollten einen Blick drauf haben.
Wer lieber ein Rollenspiel hat, respektive gleich zwei, sollte einen Blick auf den Littlebox RPGs Kickstarter haben. Wie der Plural im Titel bereits andeutet, bekommt man gleich zwei Spiele, die eher narrativer Natur sind. Wobei die Box dergestalt designt wurde, dass man sie vom Fleck weg – bzw. direkt nach dem öffnen – spielen können soll. Die Box ist recht klein, etwa Tarot-Kartenbox-Groß, und die Spiele sind spielleiterlos. Villagesong ist ein Spiel über Wandel und die Führung von Personen, wohingegen sich Our Mundane Supernatural Life mit den mundanden Herausforderungen des Alltags beschäftigt. Die Idee und Spiele klingen super, und ich empfehle einen Blick. Wenn man lieber ein Post-Apokalyptisches Spiel haben mag, verdient Tian Shang: Lone Wolf Fists einen Blick. Das Spiel bietet schnelle und dynamische Action mit Kung-Fu Action in der Post-Apokalypse. Womit es mich ein wenig an Fist of the North Star erinnert. Cool. The Epic of Dreams RPG wiederum bietet ein Fantasy Rollenspiel, mit interessanter Mechanik. Es benötigt kein Charakterblatt und ist an sich Würfellos, wobei man einen W20 verwenden kann, an und für sich verwendet es jedoch eine Mechanik bei der man versucht Nummern zu raten. Es bietet weitere coole Dinge, wie das eigene Magiesystem sowie weitere Aspekt, und es ist schon fertig. Damit kriegt es eine klare Empfehlung meinerseits.
Wenn man lieber ein Solo-Spiel hat, empfiehlt sich Red Bean: Dragon Slayer. Es ist ein Kartenbasiertes, quasi Spielbuchartiges Spiel und schaut super cool aus. So das ich selbst mich versucht fühle.
Larper wiederum finden in Crescendo Giocoso Ritornello zwölf kleine Larps aus Italien. Ich habe den ersten Band unterstützt, bekommen, gemocht und empfehle daher dieses Projekt gerne und herzlich.
Daneben gibt es noch viele weitere coole Projekte. Beispielsweise der The Stygian Library Dungeon der Büchereibasiert ist, die ansehnlichen HYPERBOREA DICE oder das FATUM Spielkarten Set. Mit den Spielkarten, kann man Hintergründe für Fantasy Charaktere sowie D&D 5E Charaktere schaffen. Was ich persönlich sehr cool finde und ich etwas versucht bin.

Crowdfunding Collection #142

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #142, including every tabletop rpg project started between 05/10 and 05/17.

A week late, because I have had a turbulent life, the translation of the issue #142.

There are quite some cool projects, though I decided to start with The Troubleshooters. The game is inspired by and presents the optic of franko-belgian comics of the 60s, including the pulp action style and setting. It is being published and produced by Arkhane Asylum Publishing, a French ttrpg publisher, with access to cool illustrations. The game uses a precentile system and you can checkout its quickstarter. Next to this game, the Tiny d6 system family receives a new entry, or rather update with the second edition of Tiny Thunderscape. As the name suggests, the system is rather light and d6 based, and the game offers a fantasy steampunk setting. The makers are very experienced in running successful campaigns, and I recommend it. If you prefer more classic fantasy, you should take a look at the SURVIVE THIS!! project. It’s a d20 system that combines an OSR approach with modern mechanics. Plus, the description offers a lot of insight for those interested.
Then there are cool settings. For example the world of Trudvang, in all its glorious illustrations, which is adapted to be played with D&D 5E. If you like the tale of Frank Baum, are into pirates and Savage Worlds, you should check out Battle for Oz: Pirates. Dwellings & Driveways: Keep on the Cul-de-Sac! is a module that raised my interest, as it offers quite mundane adventures. It looks cool and I like the idea, I am sold on it once it is available in Germany. I am as well intruiged by the Roll & Play supplement, which adds some variety to your games in general, as well as Dauntless, which provides characters, backgrounds and more for 60s pulp settings. Maybe you want to add some „rocks“ into your game? In this case you should check out the Mineralogy Manual – and might scold me for calling those rocks. I am really tempted by the MONTANA MOSS dice. They got moss and other plant thingies inside and I really like the,. The Deck of Many Animated Spells tarot set or the artbook Dark Romanticism for Shadows of Esteren are cool too..

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #142 (Zeitraum: 10.05 bis 17.05).

Diese Kurzübersicht enthält viele coole Rollenspiele, so das es mir schwer fällt, mich für eins für den Anfang zu entscheiden. Nach etwas Überlegung habe ich mich für The Troubleshooters entschieden. Das Spiel lehnt sich an franko-belgische Comics der 60er an, und bietet mitreißende Pulp-Action. Mit Arkhane Asylum Publishing ist ein französische Rollenspielverlag, und die Illustrationen passen zu dem gewählten Comic-Stil. Das Spiel bietet ein Prozent-System und man kann es über einen Schnellstarter antesten. Schaut es euch an. Daneben erhält die Tiny D6 Rollenspielfamilie mit Tiny Thunderscape einen neuen Eintrag, welcher eine aktualisierte Version des Thunderscape bietet. Das System ist leicht, W6 basiert und das Setting bietet Fantasy Steampunk. Die Macher haben bereits viele Kickstarter erfolgreich umgesetzt und ich empfehle es. Wenn man klassischere Fantasy mag, sollte man einen Blick auf den SURVIVE THIS!! Kickstarter haben. Ein W20 System welches OSR Befindlichkeiten mit modernen Mechaniken vermischt. Der Kickstarter bietet dahingehend durchaus umfangreichere Einblicke für Interessierte.
Neben den Spielen, gibt es auch coole Settings. Wie die phantastisch illustrierte Welt  Trudvang, welche diesmal für das D&D 5E System aufbereitet wurde. Savage Worlds Enthusiasten hingegen sollten definitiv einen Blick auf Battle for Oz: Pirates haben. Zumindest wenn sie die Welt von Frank Baum abtauchen will. Unter den Ergänzungsbänden spricht mich Dwellings & Driveways: Keep on the Cul-de-Sac! sehr an. Ich mag die Idee das mundane zu bespielen, und die Aufmachung schaut cool aus. Sobald es erscheint, und ich auch eine Edition nach Deutschland kriegen kann, bin ich dabei. Auch das Konzept des Roll & Play Buchs, in dem man Varianz ins eigene Spiel bringen kann, gefällt mir sehr. Ebenso wie Dauntless, mit dem Charaktere, Hintergründe und mehr für 60er Jahre Pulp Settings erhält, ein nettes Konzept für ein Magazin. Vielleicht will man auch sein Setting mit Mineralien und anderen Gestein bereichern? Dann lohnt sich ein Blick auf Mineralogy Manual. Es gibt mit MONTANA MOSS sehr coole Würfel, halt mit integrierten Moss und Pflanzen Zeug. Mega cool. Es gibt daneben weitere coole Dinge wie das Tarotset The Deck of Many Animated Spells oder das Dark Romanticism Artbook zu Shadows of Esteren.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #141, including every tabletop rpg project started between 04/26 and 05/10.

After some quite chaotic two weeks, the collection if back in a regular fashion, thus let’s get started.

I’ll start with Dragon Fighters by Luca De Marini. The game focus on fighters being involved in a kind of perpetual ongoing fight, like a tournament. The project offers unique visuals, that do point towards inspiration from games like Streetfighter and other beat’em ups, yet it doesn’t look like a simple carbon copy. At least not to me. The game offers various subsystems, and I am heavily tempted to back it, if I can find it in my budget. The project does still need some help, and I would recommend you’ll have a look at it. If you are looking for a fantasy game for the whole family maybe check out Lost in the Fantasy World. You’ll be playing a kid that has been moved from the real world to a fantastical realm. In regards of mechanics the game offers a narrative d6 system, The campaign is nicely colorful and you can already get the PDF. Thus, I recommend to have a look. Then there is the dark, modern Bloodlines & Black Magic RPG. Which offers a setting that reminds me of the World of Darkness, just that you get to play essentially crossover from the start and build in. The system is d20 and uses arcana cards, which makes it quite interesting, imho. I recommend the project, even as it is outside of my budget. You might enjoy the tech-noir approach of NEUROCITY. In which you explore a subterranean complet and topics of exentialism and psychology get address. The game seeks funding on IndieGoGo and Kickstarter in tandem. The last game is HardBoot a 5th ed D20 RPG, directed to celebrate the very first CGI cartoon. I haven’t seen the cartoon and don’t really feel engaged by the IndieGoGo project.
Fans of gamebooks will find that Destiny’s Role 2: Venom of Vortan offers to finance the third entry into the Destiny series. Then there’s Vala the Beast a boardgame like gamebook or a gamebooklike boardgame. It might be a fringe for the gamebook category, but I think it warrents to be including.
Of course there are many more projects. Fans of Mage: The Ascension will find that the M20 Technocracy Reloaded projects offers a brand new look at the Technocracy, the Web 3.0 and other fascinating aspects of Mage, that haven’t been explored in other books and needed – or could use – an update. It’s a cool book and if you are a fan of the WoD, check it out. Maybe the success will bring forth more books for M20, C20 or even x20 treatment for gamelines left out so far. Then there’s the Ekphrastic Beasts bestiary, which offers visually stunning monsters. There is the Fantasy City Sites and Scenes II to spice up your campaigns with the mentioned sites and scenes. I personally like the Witch Hunters adventure, a solo-scenario for D&D5E, which might be played with more players. You’ll find Dice and dungeons ITA Backpacks, Sidebags and enamel pins, a Cards Against the DM minigame with an inspirational aspect and The Adventurer’s RPG Tiles for creating caves.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #141 (Zeitraum: 26.04 bis 10.05).

Die Crowdfundings sind zurück, und nachdem die letzten zwei Wochen chaotisch worden, sogar regulär. Nun, los geht’s.

Mit Dragon Fighters Versucht Luca De Marini ein Rollenspiel zu entwickeln, welches sich mit Kämpfern beschäftigt, welche miteinander kämpfen. Das Spiel weißt eine eigenständige Graphik und Gestaltung auf, womit es nicht nach einer Streefighter respektive Blaupause aussieht. Zudem bietet es kleine Spiele. Ich finde das ganze sehr cool, und bin versucht einzusteigen. Ich empfehle einen Blick, das Projekt kann durchaus noch Unterstützung gebrauchen. Fans von Fantasy Rollenspiele für die ganze Familie sollten einen Blick auf Lost in the Fantasy World haben. In dem Spiel schlüpft man in die Rolle von Kids, die es in eine phantastische Welt verschlagen hat, was systemseitig durch ein narratives W6 System umgesetzt wird. Die Kampagne ist angenehm farbenprächtig und das Spiel gibt es bereits als PDF. Man finanziert also mehr den Druck bzw. die PoD-Option. Bloodlines & Black Magic wiederum bietet ein dunkles und modernes Rollenspiel, welches mich persönlich an die Welt der Dunkelheit erinnert. Wobei man wohl viele verschiedene Kreaturen zusammen spielt. Das Spiel nutzt W20 und ein Tarotsystem, Ich bin versucht, allerdings liegt das Spiel aktuell deutlich außerhalb meines Budget. Wenn man lieber ein Spiel hat, welches in der Zukunft verankert ist, empfiehlt sich ein Blick auf NEUROCITY. Es bietet einen Tech-Noir Ansatz, in einem unterirdischen Komplex, mit Fokus auf Existentialismus und Psychologie. Das Spiel wird sowohl auf Kickstarter als auch auf IndieGoGo versucht zu finanzieren. Für Fans des ersten CGI Cartoon wiederum gibt es das HardBoot a 5th ed D20 RPG. Wobei mich persönlich dahingehend weder die Nostalgie packt noch das IndieGoGo Projekt überzeugt.
Fans von Spielbüchern können mit Destiny’s Role 2: Venom of Vortan den dritten Eintrag in der Destiny Reihe finanzieren. Daneben gibt es mit Vala the Beast ein sehr brettspieliges Spielbuch oder ein spielbuchartiges Brettspiel. Ich bin mir unsicher, habe es dennoch einmal aufgenommen.
Natürlich gibt es noch weitere Projekte. Fans von Magus: Die Erleuchtung mit M20 Technocracy Reloaded einen brandneuen Band über die Technokratie, Technologie und alle Aspekte rund um die Technokraten unter den Magus geboten. Der Band wurde von Fans erwartet und bietet nach meinen Eindruck massig spannendes Material. Schaut es euch an und unterstützt es. Vielleicht gibt es bei entsprechend großen Erfolg mehr Material für die M20, die C20 oder gar weitere Jubiläumsausgaben. Wer eine interessante und anschauliche Monster Menagerie sucht sollte ein Blick auf Ekphrastic Beasts haben. Die Illustrationen sind sehr interessant. Alternativ oder ergänzend kann man sich mit Fantasy City Sites and Scenes II Städte und Szenarien holen, die sich so problemlos in eigene Kampagnen einbauen lassen. Unter den Abenteuern gefällt mir Witch Hunters, ein Szenario für D&D 5E das sich allein oder in einer Gruppe spielen läßt. Es gibt einen netten Rucksack und weiteres Zubehör mit Dice and dungeons ITA Backpacks, Sidebags and enamel pins ein Cards Against the DM Minispiel zum zeitvertreib und für die Kampagneninspiration und The Adventurer’s RPG Tiles mit denen man Höhlen basteln kann.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #140, including every tabletop rpg project started between 04/12 and 04/26.

This time the translation of the collection rolls out a whole week late, mostly because I wasn’t feeling that well last week and even forgot to spread the German one around, as I usually do.

Though, onto the projects, if you are looking for a narrative fantasy game, check out Wickedness. It tackles the topic of queerness and offers a quite intriguiging system based on a tarot deck. The HârnMaster Boxed Set offers a way more traditional roleplaying and more lowkey fantasy experience. The campaign deliveres everything you could wish for, if you like to delve into a grim and „realistic“ campaign and it does look stylish. Then there’s another attempt of financing Savage Kingdoms and the ADVANCED FANTASY rpgs, both offering a less deadly fantasy setting of their own.
If you prefer your fantasy with a good dash of horror and weirdness, you might look forward to the newest edition of Deadlands: the Weird West. The classical setting gets an overhaul along with tuning for the latest ruleset of Savage Worlds. If you rather would like to experience what it is to be outsiders, who still have to defend their village against eldritch foes, check out Skull Diggers. It looks cool and I like the idea.
Maybe you like to have your horror with a more pronounced focus on surviving. In this case take a look at Torchbearer 2nd edition. You play rather small heros, it looks darker than Hârnmaster and it is quite deadly. Though you might judge that by taking a peek into the system. If you’d like to try your luck surviving with an OSR-rule set, check out Wendigo. Which offers a small OSR game.
Last but not least of the ttrpgs, there’s the Sickest Witch. A solo roleplaying experiences with pronounced card- and boardgame elements. While I am not sure about the actual ttrpg factor, it does look quite cool and interesting, which is why I included it.
There are other cool projects. For example the urban fantasy setting The Expanse or the „Italian Western“ themed renaissance setting BRANCALONIA – both -for D&D 5E. There are fascinating sourcebooks like FERETORY for MÖRK BORG or Knights of Gartania 2 for D&D. Well and both the Anubis Dice and Dice Holder and the DekTech card boxes tempt me quite a lot and sport a cool design.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #140 (Zeitraum: 12.04 bis 26.04).

In dieser Kurzübersicht gibt es gleich drei deutschsprachige Projekte. So hat der System Matters Verlag eine Vorbestellung für English Eerie gestartet. Ein Solo-Rollenspiel, bei dem man Tagebuch in verschiedenen Horror-Szenarien spielt. Quasi ein perfektes Spiel für die COVID-Zeiten, ich bin dabei und mag es empfehlen. Ein weiteres cooles Spiel ist die deutsche Übersetzung von Durance – Gefangen! von ProIndie. In dem kartenbasierten, spielleiterlosen Spiel geht es um die Machtdynamiken zwischen Gefangen und Wächtern. Das ganze hat eine coole Optik, ein interessantes System und ich empfehle es. Ulisses wiederum bietet eine deutschsprachige Edition von Tales of the Loop. Das Spiel wurde durch die Illustrationen von Simon Stålenhag inspiriert, welche auch die Vorlage für die gleichnamige Serie auf Amazon Prime sind. In der Serie spielt man Jugendliche in alternativen 80ern Jahre im Stil von Stranger Things aber eine Idee Erwachsener.

Fans englischsprachiger Rollenspiele bietet Wickedness ist ein erzählerisches Fantasy Rollenspiel welches sich mit queerness befasst. Man verwendet Tarotkarten zu spielen und ich finde den Ansatz durchaus sehr interessant. Daneben bietet das HârnMaster Boxed Set Material für Fans des klassen Rollenspiel. Man bekommt alles was man so für dark & gritty & „realistische“ Fantasy-Kampagnen braucht und das Material schaut gut aus. Ebenso bietet der erneute Versuch Savage Kingdoms zu finanzieren Fantasy, die wohl etwas weniger tödlich als Hârnmaster. Auch ADVANCED FANTASY unternimmt einen weiteren versucht ihr Rollenspiel zu finanzieren.
Fans von Horror Rollenspielen können sich auf die neue Edition von Deadlands: the Weird West freuen. Das klassische Rollenspiel kriegt eine Überarbeitung mit dem es auf die neusten Savage Worlds Regeln angepasst werden, und auch das Setting wird etwas erneuert. Ein Blick lohnt sich. Bei Skull Diggers wiederum spielt man Aussenseiter eines Dorfes, die gezwungen sind sich durch Abenteuer zu verdingen und ihr Heim gegen uralte Gefahren zu verteidigen. Ein durchaus interessanter Ansatz.
Wenn man mehr ums Überleben kämpfen will, also survival horror haben ist die 2. Edition von Torchbearer einen Blick wert. Das Setting ist tödlich, man spielt wohl eher kleinere Helden und es sieht düsterer aus als Hârnmaster. Zudem bietet das Projekt einen Einblick in das neue System. Wenn man seinen Überlebenskampf lieber mit leichten, OST-Regeln hat verdient Wendigo einen Blick.
Nun und zum Abschluss der Rollenspiele gibt es mit Sickest Witch ein Solo-Rollenspiel mit starken Karten-/ bzw. Brettspielelementen. Das ganze sieht cool aus, und auch wenn ich nicht sicher bin wie groß der RPG-Faktor ist.
Daneben gibt es coole weitere Projekte. Wie The Expanse, welches ein städtisches Fantasy-Setting für D&D 5E bietet oder BRANCALONIA welches das System um eine mittelalterliche, italienisches „Spaghetti-Western“ Setting bereichert. Es gibt interessante Ergänzungsbände wie FERETORY für MÖRK BORG oder Knights of Gartania 2 für D&D. Ebenso wie ich bei den Anubis Dice and Dice Holder stark versucht bin, irgendwo müssen die kleinen ja hin. Bei den DekTech Boxen wiederum konnte ich nicht widerstehen, da meine VTES Karten mehr Raum brauchen.
