I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #146, including every tabletop rpg project started between 07/05 and 07/26.

After almost three weeks passed, there are 67 projects to report on, thus, let’s get started.
I will start by highlighting Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall. The RPG places the players in the role of chinese imigrants that happen to be running a restaurant in the American 1920s. They will have to face the challenges of keeping the business running whilst facing racism, and as if that’s enough to deal with there are the Jiangshi. Vampires plaguing the community and family by night. The game is fascinating, especialls with a mechanic that doesn’t focus on physical conflict (thus, you won’t dropkick the vampires into oblivion). I am very intruiged, highly recommend it and might join in to get a boxset of the game. I did back INSPIRISLES in the blink of an eye. The setting about kids and teens being confronted with creatures from Celtic folklore, Neverending Story and Labyrinth style, appears rather ’standard‘ to me. I personally got sold on the aspect that the game aims to teach the players ASL/BSL (American/British sign language). Which got me hooked. Check if out. For those who do enjoy Horror flicks in the B-Movie style of the ~50s to 60s, take a look at They Came from Beyond the Grave! from Matthew Dawkins. The game will have you recreate daring & horrific adventures in the style of the old movies. Playing the characters, using their quips and bringing movie tropes like less than stable sets to life. System wise it uses the Storypath System from Onyx Path and I do recommend the current Actual Play series by Red Moon Roleplaying. If you want your horror with a good portion of the post-apocalypse check out When Shadows Fall. The system draws inspiration from PbtA, Cortex as well as the Mutant Year Zero games, and the project page offers further details. The illustration look nice and I do think it is worth taking a look. Then there is The New West, a PbtA Western RPG. The project page isn’t detail but it ain’t expensive.
Fans of Cyberpunk and/or Hip Hop should have a look at Axon Punk: Expanded. The project offers an enhanced edition of the corebook. I pledged and received the original corebook, I am happy with it and thus I do recommend it. If you are looking for some multiverse aetherpuznk stuff Aether and Steamworks 1.5 might be right up your ally. It does look at least nifty.
If you do enjoy fantasy, maybe take a look at the Super Simple Roleplaying Game. It is a small game, which aims to live up to its name by being simple and accessible. Then there’s the Magic Seekers RPG, in which you play teens or young adults in a fantasy setting. It will see you be ready to go with 3 adventures.
I personally couldn’t resist the optics of Necronautilus. A science fiction game in which you play „Death Agents“ on their missions in rather psychodelic settings. It uses „words“ a long with a role under mechanicas its base system and I am utterly capitvated. Take a look, and maybe back it too. If you are looking for SF with steam punk, Brass Rings got you covered. The tiny game, which should fit into your pocket, has you play adventures, bipedal space rats.
Maybe you like cards or want to give cards a go? In this case, check out Cartomancy. You can chose the setting of your game freely and it does offer tactical depth if the players wish for it. The card design does look nice, and I feel at least a little bit intruiged by the project. Then there is Duality, which does offer a universal approach as well. Alas, the project doesn’t offer a lot of information and even the name is still in somewhat of a flux.
There are many more cool projects. Like the magazine Era Zone 2020 for the Era-sytsem family, The Dark Eye – Gods of Aventuria does offer to expand the cosmos of the originally German ttrpg for English speakers and the Book of Beastly Creatures does provide quite a nice menagerie. There are many cool dice, like the Geocentric Light /Metallic RPG Dice, the Color Spray Dice and even stuff like the Foldable Metal Dice. Then there’s Dungeons of Doria which offers various Print & Play Tiles for rooms and artworks; both to support online roleplaying games, just take a look.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #146 (Zeitraum: 05.07 bis 26.07).

Nach rund drei Wochen gibt es ganze 67 Projekte, die es lohnt sich anzusehen.
Als erstes Rollenspiel hätten wir diese Woche Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall. Hierbei spielt man eine Familie chinesischer Immigranten um 1920, welche in den USA ein Restaurant eröffneten und führen. Man muss den Betrieb am laufen halten, während man mit dem alltäglichen Rassismus konfrontiert ist. Als wäre das nicht genug, gibt es mit den Jiangshi noch Vampire, die eine Bedrohung darstellen. Das Spiel ist sehr faszinierend, die Mechanik die ohne Kampfsystem auskommt interessant, und ich überlege ob ich mir die Box leisten werde. Bei INSPIRISLES habe ich die Entscheidung schon getroffen, und es unterstützt. Man spielt hierbei Teenager, die mit übernatürlichen Fähigkeiten ausgestattet, Kontakt mit Wesen aus dem keltischen Kulturraum haben. So in der Richtung von Filmen wie Labyrinth oder auch die Unendliche Geschichte. Ein besonderer Aspekt des Spiels ist, das es einem amerikanische Zeichensprache bei- respektive nahe bringt. Das Thema klingt nett, und ich bin von Sprachen fasziniert. Womit das Projekt eine deutliche Empfehlung bekommt! Wer sich wiederum für alte B-Movie Horrorfilme begeistert, sollte einen Blick auf They Came from Beyond the Grave! haben. In dem Spiel das sich thematisch an „They Came From Beyond the Sea!“ anschließt, spielt man die Protagonisten eines Horrorfilm und nimmt sogleich die Rolle der Schauspieler bzw. Regisseure ein. Systemseitig verwendet man das Storypath von Onyx Path und ich empfehle das Spiel Genre-Fans gerne. Zumal die aktuelle Actual Play Serie von Red Moon Roleplaying sehr cool geraten ist. Wer seinen Horror mit einer Dosis Post-Apokalypse haben mag, sollte einen Blick auf When Shadows Fall haben. Das System hat sich Inspiration aus PbtA, Cortex und der Mutant Year Zero Reihe geholt, und bei Interesse bietet die Projektseite näheren Einblick. Die Illustrationen sehen solide aus, und ich denke es lohnt sich durchaus drauf zu schauen. The New West wiederum ist ein kleines PbtA Western Rollenspiel. Das Projekt ist nicht super detailliert, dafür kosten die Pledges auch nicht viel.
Fans von Cyberpunk und Hip Hop wiederum sollten unbedingt einen Blick auf Axon Punk: Expanded haben. Das Spiel erhält eine erweiterte, bessere Edition und nachdem ich das erste Projekt unterstützte empfehle ich die ausgebaute Variante herzlich. Greift zu! Wenn ihr mehr an Ätherpunk interessiert seit, werft einen Blick auf Aether and Steamworks 1.5. Das Rollenspiel präsentiert sich recht farbenprächtig, und man kann wohl gleich mehrere Settings erforschen. Schaut cool aus.
Wer lieber Fantasy haben mag, sollte ein Blick auf das Super Simple Roleplaying Game haben. Ein Rollenspiel mit dem man dem Namen folgend locker, schnell und flockig los legen können soll. Ein weiteres Fantasy RPG bekommt man mit Magic Seekers geboten, welches sich an Teenager und junge Erwachsene richtet und gleich mit 3 Abenteuern daher kommt.
Als Science Fiction Fan habe ich einen Blick auf Necronautilus geworfen. Es überzeugte mich durch die Optik einen Blick drauf zu haben, und brachte mich mit dem System welches „Worte“ als Teil der Spielmechanik einsetzt sowie den Umstand das man „Death Agents“ spielt, zur Unterstützung. Schaut es euch an, und gebt dem Projekt eine Chance. Wenn man seine Science Fiction gerne mit einer Dosis Steampunk haben mag, sollte man sich Brass Rings anschauen. Hierbei spielt man mehr oder weniger Ratten, die SciFi Abenteuer erleben. Wobei das Spiel super klein ist, und man es in einer Hosentasche rumtragen können soll.
Cartomancy richtet sich an Spieler die RPGs mit Karten mögen, und bietet ein vielseitiges System, mit dem man unterschiedlichste Settings bespielen kann und wahlweise taktische Tiefe hat. Das Kartendesign sieht hierbei durchaus sehr cool aus. Auch das Spiel Duality bietet einen allgemeineren Ansatz, allerdings verrät das Projekt nicht viel zum Design und selbst der Name kann sich noch ändern.
Daneben gibt es viele weitere coole Projekte. So gibt es mit der Era Zone 2020 ein Magazin zur Era-Systemfamilie, Das Schwarze Auge erhält mit The Dark Eye – Gods of Aventuria die Übersetzung eines weiteren Ergänzungsband und das Book of Beastly Creatures bietet coole Monstren. Es gibt viele coole Würfel wie die Geocentric Light /Metallic RPG Dice, die Color Spray Dice oder sogar die faltbaren Foldable Metal Dice for RPG Tabletop Gaming. Daneben bietet Dungeons of Doria verschiedene Print & Play Tiles für Räume sowie Graphiken für die Unterstützung des Online Rollenspiels. Das ganze schaut cool aus, und ich mag es empfehlen.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #145, including every tabletop rpg project started between 06/14 and 07/05.

The collection has no fewer than 70 projects, which makes it massive. Thanks to reason of time, the sheer amount and my health, I didn’t took a deep dive into every project, but hope to offer an interesting overview..

You will find that the Slayers roleplaying game present you the opportunity to hunt monsters in a city that will be formed by your players. Next to 4 different classes the game sports an asynchron combat system, which I find very, very fascinating. There is a magazine based series of rpg games that will have have its first issue called Adventure Presents: Tartarus Gate. Within just 54 pages you’ll find a complete SciFi horror game that has everything included required to play, but the 3 six-sided dice. If you like to design your own setting, the BYTE RPG offers a d8 based system to facilitate it. Along with 7 ready made settings for those who aren’t that much into world building. If you are more a world building purist, and you are looking for „realistic“ rules, checkout the 5A System. It might got you covered.
If you are an anime fan and love the works of Studio Ghibli check out Monster Care Squad. In this game you’ll play as elite veterinarian who have to care about mythical creatures. Then there’s My Anime Story, if you like to implement your favorite anime setting yourself. Though the description is a bit bare bones.
Fully fleshed and aimed at kids it the rpg Fairies of the Mistglade. Which has separate tiers for the age groups of 3 to 5, 5 to 8 and 8+ years old. With varying approaches to arithmetics to support the development of the children playing. The second edition of SLICE on the other hand is designed by kids for kids. Which occurs to me is a sure way to make sure that kids are actually interested in it.
Straying away from children ~ maybe onto more people in puberty ~ who want to play a big, evil badguy, the Dark Lord has that covered. You assume the role of overlords who want to plunder, burn stuff down and kill the heroes. Thus you got a villain meetings and fitting campaign. If I were 20 years younger, I’d think that’s cool. Though the system does actually sound interesting. If you are interested in classic fantasy, maybe check out Alpha Duo. You can download the base version of the rules system for free. Then there’s the old school fantasy game Chronicles of the Secret Time from Italy. Which looks very cool and is worth having a look.
Fans of rule-lite game should check out Vizor with it’s dynamic character creation and utilization of cards, and/or Runt which focuses on a narrative approach and is genre agnostic.
If you open up the Storybox! project, you’ll get 8 narrative games in one kickstarter, and with Our Innermost Thoughts you’ll have 5 experience to explore yourself.
Maybe you are looking for a gamebook? Then check out the classical game book Myrrk Book One. It sounds legit. The Dark Village isn’t classic at all, but I think it is a good fit for the category and worth checking out.
Next to all those games, I think you should give the Campo de Mitos setting by Paco Jaen a chance. It takes the mythos to a place in Gibralta and looks very cool. The Sinful RPG sourcebook will enable to add sinful sprincles into your scenario. Where I am just in love with the design of the Elixier Dice. They got swirly, glittery stuff in them… beautiful! Though the dice from Dice Macabre and Dawn and Dusk got nice designs as well. Well, and if you are prone to say No More Dice,… that project offers an abacus like alternative to roling. It might be among the Things Heroes Say? Which is a collection of RPG phrases.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #145 (Zeitraum: 14.06 bis 05.07).

Nach drei Wochen eine neue Kurzübersicht, diesmal mit sehr vielen Projekten. Aufgrund der Zeit, Masse und Gesundheit habe ich in de meisten Projekte nicht super tief reingeschaut, genießt die Liste dennoch.

Zunächst finanziert Ulisses Spiele die beiden Ergänzungsbände ‚Das Lebende Land‘ und ‚Das Nil-Imperium‘ für das System Torg auf Deutsch. Wobei Fans von Torg mit Tharkold das Spiel erweitern können.

Unter den englischsprachigen Projekten bietet Slayers die Möglichkeit in einer merkwürdigen Stadt auf Monsterjagd zu gehen. Wobei es neben 4 verschiedenen Klassen ein asynchron Kampfsystem bietet, was recht abgefahren klingt. Adventure Presents wiederum bietet eine Magazinreihe, deren erste Ausgabe Tartarus Gate ein SciFi Horrorrollenspiel bietet. Das Regelsystem ist dabei enthalten und man braucht nur 3W6. Das BYTE Rollenspiel wiederum bietet die Möglichkeit sich ein eigenes Setting zu dem W8 System zu basteln, was es gerade für Weltenbauer attraktiv machen sollte. Wobei alle anderen 7 Settings präsentiert bekommen. Wer es lieber ohne Vorgaben haben mag, und simulationistisch angehen will, der sollte sich das 5A System ansehen. Ein Projekt in das wohl recht viel Herzblut geflossen ist.
Wenn das eigene Herz für Anime der Marke Ghibli schlägt, verdient Monster Care Squad einen Blick. In dem RPG das durch die Filme des Studios inspiriert wurde, spielt man elite Tierärzte die sich um unterschiedliche magische Kreaturen kümmern. Ein cooles Konzept mit einem erzählerischen System. Alternativ kann man versuchen mit dem My Anime Story, den eigenen Lieblingsanime selbst umzusetzen. Wobei das Projekt fast nichts zum System verrät.
Das Rollenspiel Fairies of the Mistglade wiederum richtet sich an Kinder und bietet für die Altersgruppen zwischen 3 bis 5, 5 bis 8 sowie 8 Jahre und älter verschiedene Stufen an. Wobei es unterschiedlich mathematisch komplex wird, und damit die Entwicklung der Kids fördern soll. Eine, wie ich finde, coole Idee die recht poppig umgesetzt wird. Bei der zweiten Edition von SLICE handelt es sich wiederum um ein Rollenspiel von Kinder für Kinder. Was ein cooler Weg ist um sicher zu stellen das es Kindern gefällt. Womit es einen Blick verdient hat.
Weg von den Kindern, wenn man mal so richtig den großen, miesen, bösen Bösewicht spielen will ~ also vielleicht pubertiert ~ empfiehlt sich ein Blick auf Dark Lord. Hierbei spielt man einen entsprechenden Bösewicht, die anderen jeweils die Minions, und setzt sich gegen die Guten zu  wehr. Wäre ich 20 Jahre jünger, fände ich es vielleicht cool. Wobei das System schon cool erscheint. Das Alpha Duo wiederum bietet eher klassische Fantasy, mit einem eigenen Regelsystem dessen Basis-Variante man sich kostenlos ansehen kann. Chronicles of the Secret Time ist wiederum ein Fantasy Spiel aus Italien mit Oldschool Regeln das cool ausschaut.
Wenn man es regelleicht mag, könnte man auch einen Blick auf das Vizor RPG haben. Es bietet eine dynamische Charaktererschaffung und verwendet Karten als Spielelemt. Ebenso kann man sich Runt anschauen, dessen Fokus auf erzählerische Geschichten Gestaltung liegt und das Genre agnostisch ist.
In der Storybox! wiederum findet man gleich 8 narrative Rollenspiele und mit Our Innermost Thoughts kann man gleich 5 Erfahrungen über sich selbst sammeln.
Vielleicht seit ihr auch an einem Spielbuch interessiert? Dann schaut euch Myrrk Book One an. Ein recht klassischer Vertreter seiner Art. The Dark Village ist ganz und gar kein klassisches Spielbuch, aber ich fand es einer Erwähnung wert.
Neben den Rollenspielen finde ich hat das Setting Campo de Mitos von Paco Jaen einen Blick verdient. Es bereitet einen Ort bei Gibralta für das Spiel mit dem Mythos vor. Mit Sinful RPG kann man seine Rollenspiel Szenarien sündiger gestalten. Wohingegen die Elixier Dice einfach nur sündhaft geil aussehen. Finde ich. Mit ihrer beweglichen Glitzerzeug-Füllung. Wobei auch die Würfel von Dice Macabre und Dawn and Dusk super cool aussehen. Nun oder man sagt sich No More Dice, und probiert das alternative Würfel mit dem Abakus-Ding aus. Es gibt mit Things Heroes Say auch eine Sprüche-Sammlung mit Rollenspielthema.
