I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #105, including every tabletop project started between 04/21 and 04/28.

In this collection you’ll find the game A Town Called Malice, a game that aims to replicate the atmosphere of Nordic Noir stories. It does so by using the system of Home by Dark, a narrative one that might be compable to Fiaso. Once Upon a Time in Jianghu on the other hand offers a Powered by the Apocalypse take on Wuxia Action. Where as Spaceships & Starwyrms brings you space action with mechanics inspired by D&D 5E.
Then there’s Space Cats, a Fate based game about the titular space faring cats that’s designed to be suitable for kids. It has the added bonus that – given it funds – the funds will help real kittens. Fate of Cthulhu is another Fate project, which handels the Mythos. Though if you ain’t in the USA you can’t get the physical book through the project. If you like Fantasy RPGs there are Paths: World of Adia and First Kings. I personally do like Charmed & Dangerous: A Princess Adventure Game, where one plays different princesses – though am not sure how much of an RPG it is.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #105 (Zeitraum: 22.04 bis 28.04).

In dieser Kurzübersicht gibt es mit A Town Called Malice ein Spiel welche das Gefühl von Nordic Noir Werken wiedergeben mag. Hier für nutzt man das gleiche System wie bei Home by Dark, was eher narrative ist und mit Fiasco vergleichbar. Once Upon a Time in Jianghu verwendet das mir besser vertraute PbtA-System und bietet den geneigten Gruppen Wuxia-Action. Wobei Spaceships & Starwyrms wiederum im Weltraum spielt und auf D&D 5E aufsetzt.
Space Cats wiederum bietet ein kindergerechtes Science Fiction Setting mit Katzen, und wenn es finanziert wird, tut man den Kätzchen des Machern etwas gutes. Wohingegen sich Fate of Cthulhu am Mythos abmüht, wobei Buch-Liebhaber außerhalb der USA halt erstmal in die Röhre schauen. Mit Paths: World of Adia und First Kings gibt es daneben noch zwei Fantasy Rollenspiele. Wobei ich auch Charmed & Dangerous: A Princess Adventure Game einen Blick wert finde, auch wenn ich nicht sicher bin wie weit man es noch ein RPG nennen kann.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #104, including every tabletop project started between 04/14 and 04/21.

Easter approaching didn’t slow down rpg crowdfundings, thus let’s get started.
One Child’s Heart offers a very interesting game about empathy, hope and personal connections. It puts the player in the roles of child welfare professional who explore the memories of a kid, trying to help and heal. I consider the concept quite interesting and recommend having a look. If you are looking for a game for kids, instead about them, check out the A.R.M.zine. Then there is Big Eyes, Small Brains, which takes the BESM approach to Anime and aims at providing fast and fun one-shot games. If you’re more in creating your own setting, you might like to check out COMIRPG. I personally am more into science fiction and thus Zoetrope caught my attention. It has a card based system and one does play time travellers trying to keep time in shape. Then there is Augusta Universalis, which offers some really cool looking mech or rather power suits and promises tons of actions.
The only game I actually backed, while technically only being like role-playing game adjenct, is Vampire: The Masquerade – Heritage. It’s a legacy boardgame with lots of cards and as I was a V5 supporter right next to one of their demo tables during SPIEL it looks really, really good.
There are of course more project, like PuzzleTales. It doesn’t describe itself as a „game book“, but after checking out the description I think that’s what it is. I do actually like and consider backing the Pride Dice Bags. There is a Turn Keeper which looks mighty cool, Project Orion will help you paint your minis and I am quite astonished that 5e Fantasy RPG Advent Calendar and Terror at Weihnachten invoke christmas mood during Eastern.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #104 (Zeitraum: 14.04 bis 22.04).

Auch zum Osterwochenende hin wurden viele, interessante Rollenspiel Crowdfundings gestartet.
Mit One Child’s Heart gibt es ein interessantes Rollenspiel über Empathie, Hoffnung und zwischenmenschliche Verbindungen bei dem man eine Gruppe von professionellen Therapeuten spielt, welche die Erinnerung eines Kinds ergründen um dem Kind zu helfen. Wie ich finde ein interessanter Ansatz, zumal Hoffnung und Heilung im Vordergrund stehen. Das A.R.M.zine entgegen richtet sich an Kinder, anstelle über Kinder, und mag diesen ein regelleichtes System bieten mit dem sie Spaß haben können. Mit Big Eyes, Small Brains geht es kindlich bis jugendlich weiter, und man kann Spaß mit One-Shots im Animestil haben. Nun oder mit dem settingübergreifenden COMIRPG  was immer man will spielen. Bei den Science Fiction Rollenspielen finde ich Zoetrope sehr interessant. Es ist ein kartenbasiertes System, bei dem man durch die Zeit reist um eben diese zu fixen bzw. in Stand zu halten. Augusta Universalis wiederum begeistert durch das brachiale Design, welches etwas an WH40k erinnert, und dem damit einhergehenden Versprechen von Action.
Hinsichtlich der weiteren Projekte begeistert mich vorallem Vampire: The Masquerade – Heritage, welches ich unterstützt habe obwohl es nur ein Legacy-Brettspiel ist. Ansonsten hat PuzzleTales zwar nicht „Spielbuch“ drauf stehen, ich halte es jedoch dennoch für eines. Mir gefallen die Pride Dice und daneben gibt es rechtzeitig zu Ostern den 5e Fantasy RPG Advent Calendar? Er schaut zumindest nicht schlecht aus und man kann ihn ggf. mit dem Abenteuer Terror at Weihnachten kombinieren. Das Project Orion stammt aus Deutschland und bietet praktische Miniaturen-Halter, auf das man diese besser anmalen kann, wobei mir dort auch der Turn Keeper recht gut gefällt.

Crowdfunding Collection #103

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #103, including every tabletop project started between 04/01 and 04/14.

I paused because I went to a convention last week, thus you’ll find no less than 66 projects of whom 17 are new games. You’ll find that both  Old-School Essentials and Dark Conspiracy, are English games from Germany. While Old-School Essentials does apparently continue in the B/X tradition, Dark Conspiracy offers a new edition of the intruiging setting.
In the corner of Urban Fantasy RPG you might explorer the inner teenage monster of your character with I WAS A TEENAGE CREATURE. Something that you can explore as well with Monsterpunk, alas in a post-apocalyptic seeting and not necessarily as a teen.  Relics: A Game of Angels will place you in the supernatural shoes of an Angel, who’ll discover their history with the tarot based system from Alas Las Vegas.
I wasn’t actually sure whether Fairies or Fight! qualify as Urban Fantasy, but I like both and might back them. While you’ll play collaborative, team-building und kind of peaceful fairies in Fairies – what a surprise – Fight sets you up like a fighter in one of the fighting video games.
Among the Science Fiction games I like Lancer the most. Nothing beats fighting in a big mecha than fighting in a bigger Mecha. Though you might as well like to take a look at Pater Asteri.
Then there are two cool Cyberpunk games with Latch Key and Deniable Assets. The latter has you taking the side of the corporation, which is less punk, but still very cool.
If you like the idea, but prefer Fantasy, take a look at For the Dungeon!, where you basically are the deniable assets of a dungeon lord. The Blackest of Deaths offers a more traditional approach and experience, reminding me of OSR games. If you like a more narrative and story-driven approach, take a look at Infinity’s Edge. Then there is Sundown, which is a rules-lite game that claims to offer you pre-industrial transhumanism.
Among the other projects you might like to support Klara H. Herbøl (LadyGamer), who is a freelance writer for Onyx Path, V5 and in general creates RPG content. Nemesis of the Nin Witch finances a new gamebook, The Magicians aims to create a supplement enabling play in the popular series, there are really big dLUX Jumbo and fancy Dynasty Procelain dice, you’ll find a Hellraiser Inspired Puzzle Box container, there is the World’s Finest Wallet of Holding Portemonaie, a smoke launcher for your table names Monsters of Nature and many, many more interesting projects which you’ll find here:

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #103 (Zeitraum: 01.04 bis 14.04).

Diesmal gibt es mit Mythos eine Finanzierung von Ulisses Spiele um die Übersetzung des beliebten Cthulhu RPG auf Deutsch zu realisieren. Wobei es nicht das einzige Spiel aus Deutschland ist, zwar ist das Fantasy-RPG Old-School Essentials auf Englisch, kommt jedoch aus Berlin. Ebenso finanziert der Uhrwerk Verlag die neue Edition von Dark Conspiracy, einem post-apokalyptischen Fantasy Spiel mit Science Fiction Einflüssen.
Ich persönlich mag Urban Fantasy, und bin daher an I WAS A TEENAGE CREATURE interessiert. Einem Spiel wo man den Titel entsprechend die „Monster“-Seite des eigenen Charakter erforscht. Etwas, dass man in einem post-apokalyptischen Setting auch mit Monsterpunk erkunden kann. In Relics: A Game of Angels wiederum spielt man Engel in der normalen Welt, welche ihre Vergangenheit mit dem System bzw. Tarot-Mechaniken aus Alas Las Vegas erkunden.
Fairies ist fast ein Urban Fantasy Spiel, ich war mir ehrlich gesagt nicht ganz sicher, auf jedenfall mit dem Ansatz Feen zu spielen super sympathisch und süß. Weniger süß, aber dennoch cool, ist die zweite Edition von Fight!, welches ich erst für ein Street Fighter RPG hielt.
Von den Science Fiction Rollenspielen spricht mich Lancer mit der Mecha-Action sehr an. Wobei Fans auch einen Blick auf Pater Asteri empfehlen würde. Wobei es mit Latch Key und Deniable Assets auch zwei spannende Cyberpunk Einträge in die letzte gibt.
Gerade der Ansatz von Deniable Assets, die die Corporate-Seite anstelle der Punk-Seite zu spielen ist cool, und spiegelt sich etwas in For the Dungeon!. Dort spielt man die Critter, welche im Namen des Dungeon Lord diesen vor Helden verteidigen.
Wenn man Fantasy als solches mag, kann man sich mit The Blackest of Deaths eine sehr klassische Erfahrung geben, oder mit Infinity’s Edge einen eher narrativen Ansatz wählen. Sundown wiederum ist ein ähnlich regelleichters Spiel, bietet aber als Genre sowas wie vor-industriellen Transhumanismus.
Bei den weiteren Projekten sucht Klara H. Herbøl (LadyGamer) Unterstützung für ihre Rollenspiel-Autoren Aktivitäten, mit Nemesis of the Nin Witch gibt es ein frisches Spielbuch, The Magicians arbeitet das Setting der Serie für D&D 5E aus, es gibt dLUX Jumbo sowie Dynasty Procelain Würfel, es gibt eine Hellraiser inspired Puzzle Box, das World’s Finest Wallet of Holding Portemonaie, mit Monsters of Nature einen Nebelwerfer für den Tisch und viele, viele weitere Projekte, welche ihr hier findet:
