I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #102, including every tabletop project started between 03/25 and 03/31.

To delve into the last collection being spread via Google+, I would recommend the 2. edition of the Powered by the Apocalypse The Fellowship. I did already back the first edition and am very happy about the book I got and the light-hearted setting. I am as well enticed by Ballad of the Pistolero, the game which has its system roots in a d100 warhammer-like system, offers „action western“. Which is basically Western like you’ll find it in Red Dead Redemption. I do like the artworks and am tempted to actually back it. Then there is Castles & Cats, which tries to create a cool game for preschoolers and elementary aged kids utilizing cards. It may deserve consideration if you got kids of said age range. The last full rpg project is the 2. edition of Infinite Power, a d8 based superhero system, which only has a total runtime of 8 days. If you like superhero you should check it out fast.
With Wiseguys I backed a setting in a split setting, despite not being a big fan of Savage Worlds. On the one hand because the book explores organized crime through various genre lenses, which is something I collect. On the other hand, because it looks really cool and well made. The pricing is nice, and it’s the first kickstarter I backed for a portrait level. Another cool project is Contagion Chronicles by Onyx Path. It’s a setting to campaign supplement for the Chronicles of Darkness which aims to enable the players to create cool crossover chronicles. I would recommend it to.
With Eidbrecher – Die Jäger you’ll find a D&D 5E and Pathfinder RPG adventure from Germany. It looks cool, and if you’re interested in German games, I would suggest you check it out.

Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #102

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #102 (Zeitraum: 25.03 bis 31.03).

Mit Eidbrecher – Die Jäger gibt es ein deutschsprachiges Abenteuer für D&D 5E sowie Pathfinder. Das Abenteuer ist für bis zu drei Spieler sowie einen Spielleiter ausgelegt und ist für Gruppe der Stufe 1 geeignet. Das DIN A4 große Heft umfasst 20 Seiten, von denen 14 das eigentliche Abenteuer bietet und auf den restlichen verschiedene Karten. Das ganze ist sehr angenehm bepreist und sieht klasse aus. Würde ich D&D 5E spielen, und hätte mehr Geld, wäre ich dabei. So bekommt es eine herzliche Empfehlung. Schaut es euch an!

Hinsichtlich der englischsprachigen Rollenspiele, kann ich The Fellowship in der zweiten Edition empfehlen. Ich habe die erste Edition des leichtherzigen Fantasy-System mit Powered by the Apocalypse System unterstützt, und war mit dem Projekt sehr zufrieden. Ballad of the Pistolero ist ein Spiel welches im „Action-Western“-Genre angesiedelt ist, also auf einer Linie mit Werken wie Red Dead Redemption. Ich finde die Artworks super und bin stark versucht. Hinsichtlich des System ist es W100 im Warhammer-Stil. Castles & Cats richtet sich an Kindergarten-Kinder und Grundschüler und bietet ein leichtherzigen Setting, mit einem flockigen, kartenbasierten System. Es hat meines Erachtens durchaus einen Blick verdient! Infinite Power bietet die 2. Edition des Spiel und ist ein W8 basiertes Superhelden-System dessen Projekt allgemein nur 8 Tage läuft. Für Genrefans ist es ggf. interessant.
Daneben gibt es mit Wiseguys ein Savage World Setting, welches ich keine Sekunde lang widerstehen konnte. Das Buch beschäftigt sich mit organisierten Verbrechen, blickt auf verschiedene Organisationen und Klischees und hat meiner Meinung nach einen fetzigen Stil. Ich sammele RPGs die sich damit beschäftigen, weshalb es auch ohne Leidenschaft für Savage World ein „Muss“ war, wobei mich die Präsentation so sehr überzeugte, das ich zu einem Portrait-Pledge griff. Daneben bietet Onyx Path mit Contagion Chronicles einen Setting respektive Kampagnenband für Crossover-Chroniken in den Chronicles of Darkness. Meines Erachtens ein cooles Projekt, das ich Fans und Spielern der CofD gerne und guten Gewissens empfehle.

Crowdfunding Collection #101

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #101, including every tabletop project started between 03/17 and 03/25.

I do like the approach of Pretty Fairy Princess which is a proudly dainty game. You’ll play a thumbsized fairy princess and her compagnions. The projects loos very cute and I recommend having a look at it… fast. Because it will end at 03/26 1am CET or 5pm PST.
Another project I do recommend wholeheartidly is Critical Core, which is a fantasy rpg that aims to help children on the autistic spectrum. Check it out, and maybe consider adding your support.
Ruin Masters on the other hand is a totally classic fantasy role-playing game with cool illustrations and a solid system. If you like to play a game in a more contemporary setting, well Fellowship of the White Star addresses the roaring twenties and adds in the supernatural for good measures, then there is the neon-lit Night Life having you roam around as a wizard in the 80s and last but not least you have the option to leap into the 21st century and enjoy superheroe shenannigans with Prowlers & Paragons.
There are many more worthwhile projects. Like Save College of Wizardry! which tries to save the blockbuster Larp event after Dziobak Studios, the original company, went belly up and closed. Then there is Mother of Darkness which aims to translate an impressive looking supplement for Symbaroum and I do say that the dice trays and dice in The Inspiration Collection look quite stylish.
If you’re interested in German tabletop games you might like to take a look at Fallen World. The game features a science fiction setting with some endtime-elements sprinkled in and might be worth having a look.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #101 (Zeitraum: 17.03 bis 25.03).

Diesmal mit gleich mehreren Projekten auf Deutsch bzw. aus Deutschland.
Wie das Rollenspiel Fallen World. Das Spiel bietet ein Science Fiction Setting mit Endzeit Elementen und wirkt durchaus überzeugend ausgearbeitet. Hinsichtlich des Regelsystem bietet man ein einfaches W20 System. Wobei man wohl am Gratisrollenspieltag teilnahm und auch aktuell ein PDF mit einer Vorstellung bietet. Meines Erachtens solltet ihr es euch ansehen. Einen Blick hat meines Erachtens auch der Patreon von Vogt&Vriends verdient, nachdem mir beide bereits durch ihre Arbeit am Roll Inclusive Projekt positiv aufgefallen sind. Mit Wider den Aionenthron wiederum kann man einen Abenteuerpfad für Starfinder finanzieren. Zudem habe ich mit Adellos ein kleines Brettspiel aufgenommen, dass allerdings kein Rollenspiel ist. ^^;

Unter den Englischen Projekten gibt es mit Pretty Fairy Princess ein offen putzig, süßes Spiel in dem man Däumeline große Feen-Prinzessinnen sowie ihre Gefährten spielt. Das Projekt sieht sehr knuffig aus und ich empfehle einen Blick – einen sehr schnellen, da es schon um 1 Uhr endet! Weniger putzig, dafür mit einem lobenswerten Ziel gestaltet, gibt es mit Critical Core ein Fantasy Spiel, welches Kindern auf im autistischen Spektrum helfen soll. Weshalb ich empfehle einen Blick drauf zu werfen, und es ggf. zu unterstützen. Ruin Masters wiederum ist ein ganz klassischen Fantasy-RPG, mit netten Graphiken das grundsolide wirkt. Daneben bietet Fellowship of the White Star die 20er Jahre mit übernatürlichen Kniff und einem narrativ ausgerichteten System. Wohingegen Night Life einen als Zauberer in die neongrellen 80er versetzt – und mich damit fast für sich gewinnen kann. Mit Prowlers & Paragons macht man einen Satz ins 21ste Jahrhundert und darf sich im Superhelden Stil durch die Probleme seines Charakters prügeln.
Daneben gibt es viele weitere interessante Projekte. Save College of Wizardry! versucht das gleichnamige Larp zu retten, nachdem Dziobak Studios schließen musste. Mother of Darkness bietet einen Ergänzungsband für Symbaroum und The Inspiration Collection bietet stylische Würfelbecher wie Würfel.

Aktion Phantast*innen gegen Artikel 13 am 21.03.2019

Angestoßen von pnpnews.de haben sich verschiedene Rollenspielseiten und andere Phantastik-Begeisterte zusammengeschlossen zur Aktion Phantast*innen gegen Artikel 13 (PgA13).

Warum?

Am 21.3.2019 wird die deutsche Wikipedia ihre Tore schließen, um auf den breiten zivilgesellschaftlichen Widerstand und die Probleme mit der Copyright-Novelle aufmerksam zu machen. (Das ist übrigens auch Blackout-Day). Dem werden sich auch diverse deutsche Rollenspiel-Webseiten anschließen – unter anderem wir. Darum wird diese Webseite am Donnerstag nicht zur Verfügung stehen und entsprechend auch kein Artikel erscheinen weder das gesamte Onlineangebot nutzbar sein.

Auch wir, als ein Teil der Phantastikszene, werden dies tun. Geplant ist das schon länger und wir wollten ursprünglich den 23.03., den europaweiten Demotag gegen Artikel 13, für diese Aktion auswählen. Aber mit der oben genannten Ankündigung der Wikipedia und verschiedenster weiterer Organisationen haben wir uns dazu entschieden, ebenfalls den 21.03. zu wählen, um unserem Protest Ausdruck zu verleihen.

Damit wir nicht völlig alleine dastehen, haben wir es zu einer Aktion innerhalb der Szene gemacht und diese Phantast*innen gegen Artikel 13 getauft. Bis zum Zeitpunkt dieses Artikels haben sich bereits 39 (!) Webseiten unserem Aufruf angeschlossen.

Wogegen wir unseren Protest ausdrücken, könnt ihr der speziell dafür eingerichteten Webseite entnehmen. Auch ist dort eine Auflistung der bisher angemeldeten Webseiten zu finden, die an der Aktion Phantast*innen gegen Artikel 13 beteiligt sind.

Wir sind Autoren, Redakteure, Lektoren, Layouter, Illustratoren und Grafiker – und damit Künstler. Dennoch sind wir gegen die Copyright-Reform, die uns doch angeblich helfen soll. Angeblich? Das Donnerhaus hat einen sehr informativen Artikel dazu geschrieben.

Solltet ihr selbst mit eurem Webauftritt mitmachen wollen, so meldet euch gerne bei uns. Das geht hier in den Kommentaren, per Mail, in auf Facebook oder Twitter oder auf dem Discord Server, der für diese Aktion erstellt wurde.

Was heißt das für Teylen’s RPG Corner?

Ihr werdet unter Teylen.blog anstelle der Blog-Artikel eine Seite sehen, und ich werde die Menüs nach Möglichkeit deaktivieren.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #100, including every tabletop project started between 03/10 and 03/17.

This time around I’ll present you with 31 projects, among whom there are many really interesting ones.
Like Dark Streets and Darker Secrets, which according to its own description covers urban horror and modern fantasy genre wise. I’d summarize it as urban fantasy and consider the old school approach quite something new. Considering I followed it before the start, and love urban fantasy I backed it without hesitation. If you like to follow suite, you should be fast, as the project will end on Wednesday.  Another project I liked and back is Mysthea by Jay Iles. I am already enamored with Jays Legacie game line and fancy the geomantic fantasy approach of this Powered by the Apocalypse inspired game.
Cut to the Chase has the interesting aspect of offering a 2-player game concept, with the players assuming the roles of predator and prey respectively. I am strongly tempted by the projects and got it starred. If you like a more traditional fantasy game, with still a narrative approach, you should check out MIGHT & MAGIC which appears to be inspired by Might & Mystic. I do consider card based systems cool and would recommend taking a look at BASE: a CaRdPG, which offers a generic, universal system and thus doesn’t come with a setting. Then again, if you are a metal head, you might enjoy checking out METAL WORLD. Gadzook confused me a bit, as its a hybrid between being a role-playing and a skyrmish game, if you like both, it might be worth taking a look at it.
I did back the source book CAPERS Noir for CAPERs in a blink, as I love the base game and gangsters – especially noir style – is a fancy of mine. I feel very strongly tempted to back the Welcome to Tikor setting and artbook as I got another weak spot for afropunk and the like, yet I’ll likely wait till the original system for the setting is available. If you like to support the creation of the system, you might like to check out the Swordsfall Patreon.
Next to those you’ll find cool accessoires like the Dungeon Quills, which are basically fancy pens, and the Trailblazer Game stamps, which enable you to stamp out a map. There is an interesting podcast present with Mud & Blood and I do like the design of the dice by Kenzie. Tho they are imho quite expensive and the project presentation isn’t to my requirements. You’ll find more interesting projects like the D&D supplemtents, including one by Monte Cook.
Amon the non-english projects I got charmed by España Caníbal. Were my Spanish better than it is, I would back it. Even with the state of my language skills, I feel tempted to back the very Spanish Post-Apocalyptic setting with a dash of organized crime.

Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #100

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #100 (Zeitraum: 10.03 bis 17.03).

Diesmal mit einer übersichtlichen Anzahl von31  Projekte, unter denen jedoch sehr viele brilliante dabei sind.
Wie zum Beispiel Dark Streets and Darker Secrets, der Beschreibung nach ein Urban Horror und Modern Fantasy Spiel, welches Old School’ige Regeln verwendet. Ich habe bereits zuvor mitbekommen, dass das Projekt startet, und der Urban Fantasy Ansatz begeistert mich. Weshalb ich es gerne empfehle. Ihr solltet es euch schnell anschauen, immerhin endet es schon am Mittwoch. Ein weiteres cooles Rollenspiel-Projekt ist Mysthea von Jay Iles. Das Spiel befasst sich mit einer geomantischen Fantasy Welt und bietet die Möglichkeit für Generationen umspannende Kampagnen. Ich habe bereits gute Erfahrungen mit den Legacy Spielen von Jay gemacht, und war direkt dabei.
Cut to the Chase bietet ein interessantes 2-Spieler RPG-Konzept, bei dem man Jäger und Gejagten spielt. Hätte ich mehr Geld, wäre ich Angesichts der coolen Interessanten Idee dabei. Ein anderes narrative ausgerechnetes Spiel ist MIGHT & MAGIC, welces sich wohl mit dem aus Might & Mystic Setting befasst. BASE: a CaRdPG ist ein Karten basiertes Rollenspiel ohne festes Setting und vielleicht ganz interessant wenn man ein generisches System sucht. Fans von Metal Music sollten wiederum einen METAL WORLD werfen, es sieht ganz nett aus. Gadzook wiederum ist ein Spiel zwischen Rollen- und Skirmish-Spiel, was mich etwas verwirrte, weshalb ich es in die Hybriden Kategorie pachte.
Diesmal unterstütze ich mit CAPERS Noir auch einen Ergänzungsband, mir gefällt bereits das RPG CAPERS und das Noir-Gangster Setting ist genau mein Ding. Mit Welcome to Tikor hätte ich auch fast ein Setting unterstützt. Die Afropunk-Welt wirkt echt cool und das einzige was mich abhängt, ist dass ich gerne das Spiel dazu hätte. Die Schaffung dessen wiederum, kann man mit dem Swordsfall Patreon fördern.
Daneben gibt es auch cooles Zubehör wie nett aussehende Stifte mit Dungeon Quills für das schreiben mit Stil sowie faszinierendes wie die Trailblazer Stempel mit denen man sich eine Karte zusammen stempeln kann. Wenn man Podcasts mag, kann man einen Blick auf Mud & Blood werfen. Die Würfel von Kenzie gefallen mir sehr, allerdings kostet es mir etwas zuviel, und ich bin nicht ganz sicher ob das Projekt auch erfüllt wird.
Daneben gibt es noch viele weitere interessante Projekte, wie D&D Ergänzungsbände von Monte Cook und mehr.
Unter den fremdsprachigen Projekten habe ich mich etwas in España Caníbal verliebt. Mit etwas besseren Spanisch-Kenntnissen wäre ich dabei, und selbst so fühle ich mich von der spanischen Post-Apokalypse mit leichten Gangster-Anleihen stark versucht. Nun, und der deutsche Dungeon Crawler Die Steine von Nuria ist zwar kein RPG, schaut aber interessant aus.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #99, including every tabletop project started between 02/24 and 03/10.

In the last two weeks a total of 117 fresh projects have been released, thus I spread them over two crowdfunding collections:

This part focuses more on English projects. For example the RPG in a Magaine Dangerous Times: Muckrakers and Magic in Old New York!. The game is set in a literally magical New York in the 20ties and the players assume the role of journalists trying to find a story. I like the setting, the idea and I backed it. Another game I backed is LIFTS, though it has a quite different approach, integrating fitness  into the game. If you like to focus more on training your mind and STEM capabilities, check out STEAM Hack. In regards to Urban „Fantasy“ or rather games set in contemporary kinds you should take a look at the second edition of Mercenaries Spies & Private Eyes or at Hidden Worlds and Justice Velocity. If you prefer your fantasy to be more classical check out the remastered edition of Basic and Expert RPG Sets Remastered! and secondedition of Wraith Recon, the dark fantasy approach of GODS or the gamesThe World After and NEMESYN.
In regards to the patreons, I felt tempted to back the one by Caias Ward and in general terms I couldn’t resist the magnificent beauty of the Elder Dice. I am currently still trying to make up whether or not to go for the Necrocuadernomicón notebook, which looks beautiful. Well, or maybe the Fail Faster: The Playtesting Journal, which offers an interesting concept. The Gamer Pride Stickers and Pins are looking cool, the coloring book After the Wipe for Low Life, there are so many cool Zines, especially about world building, cool supplements….

Crowdfunding Collection #99 (Part 1 of 2)

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #99, including every tabletop project started between 02/24 and 03/10.

In the last two weeks a total of 117 fresh projects have been released, thus I spread them over two crowdfunding collections:

Among the English projects I am most tempted by Manifest, as it offers an interesting mixture of Science Fiction and Western plus it looks good, which is why I got it starred for later. If you like your science fiction more traditional, you might like to check out either Into the Void or the latest edition of Era. Another project, that might be of interest, could be vs. KICKSTARTER as it doesn’t offer one but three games, even though they are small ones. I got it flagged to have a look at it later on. interessant finde. If you are into steampunk you might like to take a look at  Aether and Steamworks. If you fancy dinos, you the two zine rpgs Escape from Dino Island and Dino Wranglers giving you plently. Well, and among the fantasy rpg zines 5D6 RPG Zine stands out to me, as its an English game from Germany.
Among the dice I like the design of the SkullSplitter ones, if you want to see a tabletop rpg related project going of like a rocket, check the Critical Role projects The Legend of Vox Machina Animated Special. I find the Draugr & Draculas OSR zine at least interesting.
If you are interested in projects past the English ones, I would like to briefly take the time to suggest that you check out the French VALERIAN crowdfunding project, if you like the comic or movie by the same name. If you like to take a look into the design of adventures as well as scenarios and understand German, you should check out “Abenteuer gestalten”, which I backed.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #99 (Zeitraum: 24.02 bis 10.03).

In diesen beiden Wochen sind nicht weniger als 117 neue Projekte gestartet, weshalb ich mich entschieden habe, die Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht, über zwei Beiträge aufzuteilen:

In diesem Teil, findet ihr überwiegend Englische Projekte. Zum Beispiel das Dangerous Times: Muckrakers and Magic in Old New York! Magazin-RPGs, bei dem man Journalisten in einem magischen New York der 20er spielt. Mit dem Setting, der coolen Aufbereitung bin ich direkt dabei und empfehle gerne einen Blick drauf zu haben. Einen gänzlichen anderen Ansatz bietet LIFTS. Das Spiel verbindet Sport und Rollenspiel, womit ich direkt überzeugt war. Will man lieber seinen Verstand, als den Körper trainieren, sollte man einen Blick auf STEAM Hack werfen. Das Spiel möchte den Spielern MINT-Themen näher bringen. Wenn ihr euch für Urban „Fantasy“ RPGs begeistern könnt, werft einen Blick auf die neue Edition von Mercenaries Spies & Private Eyes oder auf Hidden Worlds sowie Justice Velocity. Sie sehen allesamt interessant aus. Auch gibt es mit der remastert Version von Basic and Expert RPG Sets Remastered! sowie Wraith Recon und GODS, Wraith Recon, The World After  sowie NEMESYN für Fantasy Fans.
Der Patreon von Caias Ward bringt mich zumindest in Versuchung und bei den Elder Dice bin ich dem Charm der überaus hübschen Würfeln total erlegen. Wohingegen mich bei den Notizbücher das Necrocuadernomicón anlacht und mich quasi täglich versucht. Allerdings ist auch  Fail Faster: The Playtesting Journal konzeptionell sehr interessant und die weiteren Notizbücher nicht schlecht. Die Gamer Pride Stickers and Pins sehen cool aus, es gibt mit After the Wipe ein Malbuch für Low Life, so viele coole Magazine, gerade zum Weltenbau, spannendes Ergänzungsmaterial und mehr.
