Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #180 (Zeitraum: 22.08 bis 06.09).

Nachdem ich endlich wieder daheim bin, geht es mit einer üppigen Liste an gestarteten Projekten weiter. Lasst uns einen Blick auf sie haben.

Unter den Rollenspielen stach für mich Picaresque Roman: A Requiem for Rogues hervor. Bei dem Spiel rund um umtriebige Gangster im Stil von Yakuza und Person, handelt es sich um eine Übersetzung des japanischen RPG des Group SGR Verlag, wobei LionWing Publishing die Übersetzung übernimmt. Das Spiel nutzt eine einfache 2W6 Mechanik und das Setup kombiniert Rollenspiel mit „Hidden Traitor“ Spielen wie Die Werwölfe von Düsterwald, was dazu führt, dass es bei dem Spiel Gewinner sowie Verlierer gibt. Dazu passt, dass man im Kontext des Spiel und Genre Schurken spielt. Kombiniert mit ansprechenden Artworks respektive Illustrationen, einem durchaus interessanten Setting, und meiner Sammelleidenschaften (Japanische RPGs und Mafia RPGs) bin ich mit Begeisterung dabei und empfehle es. The Price of Coal wiederum ist ein erzählerisches Spiel, welches mit um Bergarbeiter in West Virgina 1921 befasst. Die Arbeiter kämpften um bessere Sicherheitsvorkehrungen, Bezahlung und das Recht eine Gewerkschaft zu gründen. Der (real) Konflikt ging soweit, dass der Ausnahmezustand ausgerufen wurde und die Arbeiter erhoben sich dagegen. Das Spiel richtet sich an 3 bis 5 Spieler, die jeweils zwei Charaktere führen, bis zur Eskalation durch das Eingreifen der US-Armee. Die Idee die Geschichte durch das Spiel nicht in Vergessenheit geraten zu lassen ist gut, und das Konzept ist super präsentiert. Schaut’s euch an. Weg von der Geschichte, respektive einem bestimmten Setting, präsentiert The BURST System ein Genre und Setting agnostisches Regelsystem. Mit dem Magazin soll man recht fix ein Setting zusammenschustern können und mit dem 2W6 System, bei dem nur die Spieler würfeln, loslegen. Daneben verzichtet man auf eine heftige optische Aufbereitung, um das ganze nicht zu teuer werden zu lassen, zumal es am Ende CC-BY-SA sein wird. Das Projekt klingt sympathisch, und hat sich ebenfalls eine Empfehlung verdient.
Bei dem Kickstarter Briar and Bramble versucht der Autor einen Printlauf seines Rollenspiel zu finanzieren, bei dem man intelligente, allerdings nicht anthropmorphe, Tiere spielt. Das Spiel beschäftigt sich mit dem erkunden der enlischen Landschaft, dem schaffen von Gemeinschaften und man kann alle Arten von Tieren spielen, die zusammenarbeiten. Hierbei ist jedoch nicht alles „Friede & Freude“, da das Spiel von Werken wie Watership Down und Animals of Farthing Wood inspiriert wurde. Wenn man mag, kann man sich das RPG kostenlos herunterladen und spielen, da wirklich nur der Druck finanziert wird. Ich finde es schaut herzallerliebst aus, und hat einen Blick verdient. Ebenso wie Down we Go, auch wenn man hierbei klassische Fantasy im Stil von Old School Rollenspielen spielt. Das Spiel präsentiert sich bei der Erkundung von Dungeons regelleicht – mit einem System das W20 und W6 nutzt – und ist eindrucksvoll illustriert. Hierbei bekommt man nicht nur Grundregeln, die sich auf einer Seite zusammenfassen lassen, sondern auch Infinopolis als Setting. Ein sehr cooles Projekt. Driven into Darkness präsentiert sich im Vergleich eher grell. Hat man die Augen dran gewöhnt, findet man ein Fantasy System vor, welches ein W20 System verwendet und einen simultanen Kampf anstelle eines Initiativesystem präsentiert. Die verschiedenen Asekte das System und Setting sind anschaulich dargeboten, und durchaus interessant. Schaut selbst. Wenn man sich sein Fantasy Setting selber machen will, sollte man einen Blick auf Fantasy Apocalypse 1000 haben, wobei auch andere Settings möglich und vorgehesen sind. Das System, respektive was es kann, ist auf der Kampagne beschrieben. Bei Interesse empfehle ich einen Blick.
Bei den Horror Systemen gibt es zunächst Gravemire, welches sich den Untiefen des Louisiana Bayou widmet. Das Spiel nimmt sich den Bayou um 1894 in einer übernatürlichen Fassung an. Das Setting wird in dem Video, durch die Illustrationen sowie die Beschreibung, sehr anschaulich dargestellt und macht dabei auf mich einen spannenden wie interessanten Eindruck. Das System ist W12 basiert, und eine vollständige Eigenentwicklung des Autor:in. Während ich persönlich nicht so angetan von der freien Erschaffung von Skills bin, gefällt mir das Konzept der Downtime Phase. Ich empfehle das Projekt nachdrücklich und bin selbst versucht einzusteigen. Bei SURVIVE THIS! What Shadows Hide wiederum handelt es sich das neuste Projekt von Eric Bloat. Das Projekt bietet zunächst ein Grundregelwerk für Horror ala Akte X, Supernatural und Hellboy, sowie einem Ergänzungsband zu Cthulhu/Lovecraft basierten Horror. Hierbei kann man, neben einer ganzen Liste an anderen Kreaturen, auch Geister und Vampire spiele. Ich finde es interessant, und bin dabei. Wenn auch nur auf dem PDF Level, da ich nicht in den USA wohne.
Bei ANKUR – Kingdom of the gods wird der zweite Druck – und quasi zweite Edition – des Science Fantasy Rollenspiel finanziert. Wobei das Setting, welches auf antiken Mythen aufbaut, W12 basiert und verwendet ein „unter würfeln“-System. Das ganze ist eher regelleicht und man kann modular anpasse welche Regeln man verwendet, und welche eher nicht. Wobei die Macher ihr können bereits in zwei erfolgreichen KS Kampagnen bewiesen, welche dieser vorrausgingen. Ich empfehle einen Blick. Zumal es auch echt hübsch aussieht. Das Stars Without Number RPG wiederum schickt sich an einen Offset-Druck zu finanzieren. Viel muß man zu dem OSR basierten System nicht sagen. Vielleicht das es auch noch Material für OSR Spiele jenseits des eigenen Setting bietet? Wenn ihr Science Fiction und OSR mögt, sowie das ganze als ordentlichen Druck haben wollt, ist das Projekt ein muss.
Daneben gibt es mit Golemcraft ein Spielbuch, über das man auf der Projektseite leider sehr wenig erfährt. Wobei einem immerhin eine Konzept-Demo geboten wird.
Daneben gibt es natürlich noch weitere interessante Projekte. So bietet Red Dawn: Into The Dawnlands ein Setting als Nachfolger „im Geiste“ zu Dark Sun für D&D 5E. Auch Mark Rein*Hagen bietet ein D&D 5E Setting mit The Curse of BloodStone Isle. Es gibt einen ersten Einblick in sein Lostlorn Setting, und bietet Vampire. Dennoch bleibe ich dem Kickstarter nach dem „Erlebnis“ des „I am Zombie“ Projekt erstmal fern. Ganz im Gegenteil zu The Oracle Issue 15 mit systemneutralen Material rund um Karavanen und Reisende! Nachdem ich aktuell super zufrieden mit dem letzten Oracle-Magazin war, empfehle ich es gern. Auch Junction City erscheint mir als system neutrales Horror-Abenteuer Magazin attraktiv. Bei den Ergänzungsbänden sieht mich der Herbalist’s Primer ernsthaft versucht. Bietet er doch Beschreibungen von (realweltlichen) Pflanzen, in einer Art die sich für Magier, Weltenbauer, Alchemisten und SLs eignet! Auch der Ansatz des Custom Bestiary erscheint mir sehr cool, hierbei kann man seine eigenen Werte, Worte und dergleichen neben hübsche Illustrationen von Kreaturen packen. Für Savage Worlds bekommt man mit Stingers & Spores Material für High-Fantasy Insekten und das Historica Arcanum: The City of Crescent bietet Material um eine alternative Geschichte basierend auf Kulturen des Nahen Osten für D&D 5E zu entwerfen. Nicht widerstehen konnte ich bei Adaptable Encounters for D&D 5E, anpassbare Encounter für ’n Dollar? Bin dabei. Daneben gibt es hübsche Würfel wie die Metal Space Dice und faszinierende Projekte wie Dungeon helper mit dem man sein Charakterblatt auf einem Mini Amibo-mäßig speichern kann

Über die Aufnahme von Projekten

Es gibt zwei Wege wie Projekte in die Liste kommen.

) Ich versuche aktiv alle neue Projekte zu finden. Unter anderem über meine Crowdfunding Suchliste, aber auch durch die Beobachtung von Gruppen, Communities, Foren, Newsletter und dergleichen mehr.

) Ich bin darauf angewiesen das Ihr, die Leser, mir mitteilt wenn ein neues Projekt startet, das in die Liste passt. Beispielsweise weil ich manchmal Projekte übersehe oder sich Plattformen (Patreon, IndieGoGo, Startnext, …) schlecht durch suchen lassen oder ich sie nicht kenne.

Das Projekt sollte etwas mit Rollenspiel zu tun haben, schon gestartet, noch nicht erwähnt und zur nächsten Veröffentlichung noch am laufen.

Wenn man mich anspricht, nehme ich auch gerne Projekte auf, die normalerweise außenvor bleiben (z.B. Veranstaltungen oder Miniaturen bezogene Projekte).
