I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #166, including every tabletop rpg project started between 04/18 and 04/25.

Let’s start with Legacy of the Soul Flame. The game presents an epic fantasy setting, in which the undead won. With a focus on those undead, snow & ice, exploration and bloodties. In a world that unites old technology and magic. The 420 pages strong book is already written, and will ship via DTRPG PoD. The d6 based system has been used in Astulae before and got improved. Plus, the setting can be used in other games. It looks cool and like its sure to deliver, check it out. Then there is the Modern 5E core book, which offers exactly what the name promises. A contemporary setting and rules within the D&D 5E framework. With illustrationen by Larry Elmore. I am somewhat surprised, it hasn’t funded yet, and will keep an eye on it.
Fans of Space Operas are in for two treats. On the one hand, there is Swords And Spaceships. Next to the normal array of various, creative races next to humans, the setting includes weapons, body modifications and the option to customize ones ship. The system is d100 based, and spices it up with a FATE inspired mechanics for modifying conditions. On the other hand, there is Tangent Space. Which does as well offer a great variety of races and setting appropriate elements. The system is based on dice, that scale along the abilities of the character. It does look sympathetic.
If you like game books, check out the project A Warriors Quest. It kickstarters a number of books, set in the world of Elvyon. They are already exist in French, and the whole project appears worth checking out.
Next there are many other cool projects. Like Sirens: Battle of the Bards, a D&D 5E setting with and by Satine Phoenix, or the D&D 5E sourcebook Into the Feywild, which fascinates me as a player who more often than not plays druids. Then there are nice dice projects like the Handmade Resin DND Dice Sets, the glow in the dark Fluorescent Dice or the strangely designedNEW VTB DICE.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #166 (Zeitraum: 18.04 bis 25.04).

Den Anfang macht diesmal Legacy of the Soul Flame. Ein Rollenspiel mit einem dichten Fantasy Setting, in dem die Untoten gewonnen haben. Mit dem Fokus auf den Untoten, Schnee & Eis, sowie Erkundungen und Blutsbande, in einer Welt die sowohl Technologie als auch Magie bietet. Das präsentierte 420 Seiten starke Buch (DTRPG PoD), sieht durchaus cool aus und das Werk ist bereits fertig. Das W6 basierte System wurde in dem Spiel Astulae erprobt, und für dieses Spiel angepasst. Darüber hinaus kann man das Buch als Setting für andere Spiele nutzen. Das ganze sieht durchaus cool sowie recht sicher aus, und ich empfehle einen Blick. Das Modern 5E Grundregelwerk wiederum bietet, wie der Name verspricht, ein Gegenwarts-Setting mit D&D 5E Regeln und Illustrationen von Larry Elmore. Ich bin überrascht, dass es noch nicht finanziert ist, und werde es selbst im Blick behalten.
Wer Space Operas mag, sollte ein Blich auf Swords And Spaceships haben. Das Setting bietet verschiedene Völker, neben Menschen, sowie neben Waffen auch BodyMods und die Möglichkeit das eigene Schiff anzupassen. Das ganze setzt auf einen W100 System auf, mit Modifikatoren, welche wohl FATE ähneln. Das ganze wirkt durchaus solide. Mit Tangent Space gibt es ein weiteres System und Setting, für Drama im Weltraum. Ebenfalls mit einer Vielfalt an Völkern, nutzt dieses Spiel ein System bei dem die Würfel entsprechend des können hochskalieren. Auch dieses Projekt, erscheint ganz nett.
Wer Spielbücher mag, sollte einen Blick auf A Warriors Quest haben. Es werden einem gleich mehrere Bücher in der Welt von Elvyon geboten, wobei es sich scheinbar aus Übersetzungen aus dem Französischen handelt.
Daneben gibt es noch einige, weitere, coole Projekte. So bietet Sirens: Battle of the Bards, ein Setting für D&D 5E mit Satine Phoenix, wobei ich ~ als passionierte Druiden Spielerin ~ auch den Ergänzungsband Into the Feywild, spannend finde. Hinsichtlich der Würfel Projekte sehen die Handmade Resin DND Dice Sets nicht schlecht aus, und werben damit günstig zu sein. Die Fluorescent Dice leuchten faszinierend daher, und die NEW VTB DICE haben ein interessantes Design.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #165, including every tabletop rpg project started between 04/11 and 04/18.

Let’s start with having a look at Orbital Blues. A roleplaying game, in which you play Space Cowboys, similar as in Cowboy Bebop. Which is one of the inspirations next to Guardians of the Galaxy and Firefly. The narrative, rules-lite system is d6 based, with about five important core stats. Next to that the game comes with a casette, and thus a soundtrack, which is available via Spotify (for free) too. I think it’s a very cool, and I am tempted to back it. If you are intothe Symbaroum setting, yet would like to play it with D&D 5E style rules, the Ruins of Symbaroum project from Free League has you covered. A more than solid project from an experienced project from my point of view. Jamie Noble´s Masquerade is more of an immersive theatre, rather larp-y, experience, with a card based system. In the end, I decided it looks roleplayingly and solid enough to warrant an inclusion. The last game to mention is HAWTHORN, an horror RPG. It offers detective-style horror inspired by cthulhoid horrors. You can checkout the quickstarter at DTRPG.
Among the other projects, you’ll find the Comets & Cockpits setting for D&D 5E. Fantasy City Sites and Scenes III offers stuff to create locations for your random fantasy game, while the Tavern Tales offers, well, taverns, for D&D 5E. In regards of the dice, I like the Purryhedrals, transparent dice with little dice figurines in them.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #165 (Zeitraum: 11.04 bis 18.04).

Den Anfang in dieser Übersicht macht Orbital Blues. Einem Rollenspiel, in dem man intergalaktische Cowboys spielt. Vom Namen her lehnt es sich an Cowboy Bebop an, und Guardians of the Galaxy wie Firefly werden als weitere Inspirationen genannt, was in diesem Fall sogar passend erscheint. Das verwendete System ist W6 basiert, verwendet drei Attribute und zwei weitere Werte und sehr regelleicht. Dazu gibt es noch eine Musikkassette, wobei man die Playlist auch auf Spotify kostenlos gustieren kann. Ich bin durchaus versucht, und empfehle es. Wer wiederum Symbaroum mag, es jedoch mit D&D 5E Regeln spielen mag, sollte sich das Ruins of Symbaroum Projekt von Free League ansehen. Es sieht, soweit ich beurteilen kann, ausgezeichnet aus. Jamie Noble´s Masquerade ist mehr eine Art immersive Theater bzw. Larp Erfahrung als ein klassisches Rollenspiel. Wobei es für den Fortgang der Geschichte Karten verwendet. Unter dem Strich fand ich es interessant genug, um es in die Liste aufzunehmen. Womit wir als Abschluss der Liste zu HAWTHORN kommen, ein Horrorrollenspiel. Es verwendet einen Detektiv-Ansatz, und man kann sich die Regeln in einem Schnellstarter anschauen. Es wirkt, ganz nett.
Unter den weiteren Projekten befindet sich, unter anderen, mit Comets & Cockpits ein interessantes Setting für D&D 5E. Fantasy City Sites and Scenes III bietet Material um allgemein Stadtszenen und Örtlichkeit zu erstellen, wohingegen sich Tavern Tales dediziert mit Tavernen für D&D 5E befasst. Bei den Würfeln gefallen mit die Purryhedrals, transparente Würfel mit Katzenfiguren drin.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #164, including every tabletop rpg project started between 04/04 and 04/11.

The collection is back to it’s regular schedule at covering a week. Still there are 11 fresh games being kickstartered. Let’s get to them.

First there is Devil Dice Island, a small Powered by the Apocalypse game. The protagonists, each with some skeletons in their closet, strand upon a creepy island, where they’ll eventually die. I imagine it’s a bit like Lost, just without being dragged out into oblivion and a rather divisive six season. Next to that I know the designer, consider him a friend, a dp think that the project can be trusted to deliver. Check it out. If you are looking for a game for the whole family, there is Adventure Builder, which is presented in a quite colorful box. The introducation video highlights an accessible system, the option to have the game be education, and the whole thing looks quite splendid to me.
The game First They Came is definitely not for kids, yet quite intruiging. The ttrpg is available in English and Italian, and is played blindfolded, with three to five players, and an interactive soundtrack. Storywise it’s set in Berlin about 1942 and the characters appear to be hiding out to not get caught by the regime. While the topic is quite heavy, the presentation looks solid and the mechanic is quite unique. I am not sure if I would play it, but it is for worth having a look and considering it. The card based storytelling Partners is way more light weight. It puts two players, and just two players, in the role of a classic buddy/cop duo, with one straight and one rash person, and has them solve crimes and other mysteries. Another game that looks quite solid.
We Die Young RPG is a game about supernatural beings in the (19)90s,…. and had me hooked pretty much with the short text. Even as I realized that my 90s – I am born in 80’s – are to contemporary teens and tweens what the 60s and 70s are to me. Any way, the illustrations are on point, it’s a rare case in which I like the creature mix (zoo approach) and the OSR-inspired system appears fool prove. The whole thing is already written, and I am in. Another OSe influenced is The Bleakness. A horror ttrpg, in which you’ll be traveling into the snowy, and titularly bleak, Norths. In which you don’t only have to survive, but as well face various unsettling creatures. I gave it a star, for future notice, and recommend it. Rangers of the Midden Vale is another OSR inspired game, with some storytelling game influences, in which you explore a wilderniss and protect the innocent. It’s less gritty and more fantasy, yet sounds cool to. THETA is the last of the kinda OSR/OSE inspired games. It offers a quite unique setting, that combines Fantasy & SciFi elements and looks solid.
The Science Fiction rpgs are spearheaded by the new edition of Blue Planet: Recontact. A hard science fiction game about existing in a waterworld. It appears to be lavishly illustrated, and a 80-pages quickstart offers more details. I consider it worth having a look. If you are looking for a Science Fantasy setting, the Arkelon Chronicles might have you covered. The setting reminds me of Starfinder, and the system, in which both player and GM each roll a d20 to determine the success of an action, looks interesting. Though the corebook is quite a tome, with it’s 600 pages.
Last but not least, if you are up for a solo game, The Broken Cask has you running an inn. Housing patrons, sending out adventures and other stuff. It looks neat, and I got it flagged for later consideration. Check it out.
There are of course more projects. Like the Troika sourcebooks A Bug’s Guide th the Shimmer and Academies of the Arcane. The Venture Maidens Campaign Guide for D&D 5E intruiges me, whereas Mörk Borg fans might like to check out the LORD adventure.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #164 (Zeitraum: 04.04 bis 11.04).

Die Kurzübersicht ist im normalen Rythmus zurück, dennoch mit 11 RPGs und vielen weiteren, interessanten Projekten. Also, lasst uns anfangen.

Den Anfang macht hierbei Devil Dice Island, ein kleines Powered by the Apocalypse Spiel, bei den die Protagonisten auf einer unheimlichen Insel stranden, und dort umkommen. Quasi wie Lost, nur das es kurz und auf den Punkt ist, und nicht so 6 Staffeln lang mit einem mäßig befriedigenden Abschluss. Daneben kenne ich den Designer Jason Hughes so aus der WoD Szene, und habe das vollste Vertrauen, dass das Projekt geliefert wird. Eine klare Empfehlung meinerseits! Daneben gibt es mit Adventure Builder ein Rollenspiel, dass sich an die ganze Familie richtet, und bunt sowie in einer Box daherkommt. In der Vorstellung wirkt das Spiel farbenprächtig und sehr zugänglich. Sowohl hinsichtlich des spielerischen Ansatz, als auch der Möglichkeit sowas wie Hausarbeiten kreativ/unterhaltsam einzubinden. Auch hier wiederum empfehle ich gerne einen Blick.
Unter den erzählerischen Spielen fasziniert mich First They Came. Weniger weil es in Berlin um 1942 spielt, sondern weil man das Spiel mit verbundenen Augen spielt. Begleitet von einem atmosphärischen Soundtrack, allerdings durchaus mit 3 bis 5 Spielern. Hinsichtlich der Thematik, ist das Spiel durchaus schwergewichtig. Ich empfehle einen Blick darauf zu haben, in Betracht zu ziehen ob man mit dem gewichtigen Thema zurecht kommt, und es ggf. zu unterstützen. Das Spiel ist auf Englisch und Italienisch verfügbar. Deutlich leichter geht es in Partners zu. Das kartenbasierte Rollenspiel versetzt exakt 2 Spieler, in die Rolle eines klassischen Buddy-Cop Szenario. Wo man zusammen einen Kriminalfall oder anderweitiges Mystery untersucht. Was durchaus interessant klingt.
We Die Young RPG bietet ein Spiel um übernatürliche Kreaturen in den (19)90ern. Womit es mich direkt packte. Zwar ist mir mit dem Spiel bewusst geworden, dass „meine“ 90er für Teens und Tweens heutzutage ähnlichweit weg sind, wie für mich die 70er oder 60er, allerdings trifft der Stil des Rollenspiel den Nagel auf den Kopf. Die Optik stimmt, die Mischung an verschiedenen „Kreaturen“ spricht mich an, und mit dem OSR-beeinflussten System kann man nichts falsch machen. Ich bin dabei, und empfehle es nachdrücklich. Daneben gibt es mit The Bleakness ein Horror Rollenspiel, mit dem man sich in den verschneiten Norden begibt, hinein in die titelgebende Tristess. Das Old-School inspirierte System legt einen Fokus auf die „gritty-ness“ des Settings und es erscheint mir durchaus interessant, weshalb ich es mir vorgemerkt habe. Schaut es euch an. In dem OSR-inspirierten Spiel Rangers of the Midden Vale erkundigt man ebenfalls die Wildniss, beschützt aber auch noch die Unschuldigen. Wobei das Spiel, nach meinem Eindruck, eher eine leichte OSR-Würzung hat, und ansonsten noch Ideen von PbtA Spielen, Werken von Wick und anderen mitnimmt. Es sieht durchaus nett aus. THETA bildet den Abschluss der Spiele mit OSR bzw. OSE Einschlag. Man erhält ein neu wirkendes Setting, das Fantasy wie SciFi Elemente hat und recht selbstständig wirkt. Macht euch selbst ein Bild.
Bei den Science Fiction Rollenspiel spricht mich die optisch opulente neue Edition von Blue Planet: Recontact sehr an. Das Spiel wirbt damit ein realistisches Science Fiction Setting zu bieten, welches eine Wasserwelt darstellt. Also ein Planet ohne nennenswerte Landflächen. Es gibt hierzu einen 80-seitigen Schnellstarter, und ich empfehle das Projekt. Die Arkelon Chronicles wiederum bieten ein Science Fantasy Setting, welches mich in der Präsentation ein bisschen an Starfinder erinnert. Das System ist 2W20 basiert, wobei der Spieler und Spielleiter jeweils einen W20 Würfeln. Das ganze sieht solide aus, und bietet mit einem 600 Seiten starken Grundregelwerk massig Material.
Last but not least, wenn man gerne allein spielt, bietet The Broken Cask die Option eine eigene Kneipe respektive Wirtschaft (also ein Inn) zu führen. Das ganze sieht cool aus, und ich bin versucht es zu unterstützen.
Daneben gibt es einige andere Projekte. Wie die Troika Ergänzungsbände A Bug’s Guide th the Shimmer und Academies of the Arcane. Für D&D 5E spricht mich der Venture Maidens Campaign Guide an. Wohingegen Mörk Borg Fans mit LORD ein neues Abenteuer finanzieren können.

I present to you the new Crowdfunding Collection #163, including every tabletop rpg project started between 14/03 and 04/04.

Following a brief hiatus, thanks to a broken ellbow, the collection is back with about 119 projects. Thus, let’s get to ‚em.

The first in the list is Solemn Vale. A folk horror game by Mark Kelly, inspired by works like Witchfinder General, Blood on Satan’s Claw and The Wicker man. The system features attribute based dice pools and includes a betting mechanic to facilitate the narrative. You’ll find that Justin Achilli is listed as one of the authors, and thus, over all, I am very tempted to back it. If you are looking for Indiana Jones style adventures in the Trinityverse, you have to check out Trinity Continuum: Adventure!, the newest edition by Onyx Path Publishing, that does utilize theor Storypath System. Fans of superheroes should have a look at Pandora: Total Destruction. A game that does spice it up by adding a dose of Akira. You might checkout the system with the preview version of the game at DTRPG, and it is described as being narrative first. Then there’s Tales of Teralecia, a D&D based game, with a Steampunk / SciFantasy setting. It offers some videos (and a QR code?) for further insight. Tho it ain’t my cup of tea.
Fans of Science Fiction, especially the gritty kind, should check out Death in Space. The rules light systrem is OSR inspired and the characters will explore the gritty vastness of space. The presentation seems solid, As does the site of the Dark Energy RPG. The world is based on the novels by the same name, and the SciFantasy mix invokes Shadowrun to my mind’s eye theatre. The system allows to focuses on heroes and villains, which sounds interesting. Then there’s Rising Shadows, which likewise aspires up to be cyberpunk. Though the text based description couldn’t keep ne interested. At least the thumbnail looks nice.
If you are a fan of fantasy, I’d recommend having a look at Goblin Country. The zine sized, gm-less game imagines you to be adventures goblins, who don’t appear as fooling as in other games but rather cute. Then there’s Ageless Chronicles, which features an online platform to facilitare the game. With the special feature being that you’ll be drawing the map as you play. Fascinating. Spears & Spells appears to be a classic, OSR like fantasy rpg, that only uses d6. Though the „flexible funding“ nature of the project does raise my alarm senses. Back at own discretion. The Eldritch RPG doesn’t have such a thing but appears to be normal. The system is developed to be versatile and epic and it should work for one shots and campaigns. Looks solid. Last but not least there is the War and Aether RPG. It is inspired by D&D, but features a classless system, that’s based on skills, and offers a brutal, realistic combat.
If you prefer your fantasy anime style, Anime 5E is a must. Instead of being another D&D 5E clone, it’s BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth) in fantasy mode. Which I would check out, were I more interested in fantasy. Another anime inspired game is the LokDown TTRPG, featuring a SciFantasy facilitated by the Tri-Forge.
In regards of the narrative rpgs, I like to feature Fly Softly. Inspired by the flight of the Monarchs, the game sees you playing as a human/butterfly hybrid, who journeys from Virigina, US to Mexico. On your travel you’ll be helping humans, ghost, mutants and other creatures. The whole presentation has me under a spell, and I am very likely to back it. If you are looking to back not only one, but six games, with one pledge, Possible Worlds has you covered. It offers a subscription services, that will run over the course of 6 months, bringing you one zine sized game each time. The games look interesting, and I got it marked to maybe pledge later. The Protocol Squared game by Jim Pinto is the most recent entry to the gm-less Protocil System family. You’ll be playing as soldiers, who return home, after a devastating fight. While the standard setting is a fantasy one, it might be adapted to portray historic wars. Another game addressing the blight of soldiers is Love & Barbed Wire. Set during World War I, the game has two players writing letters back and forth. Using a card based system. The whole presentation looks intruiging, despite the heavy topic. Then there’s Symposium. It’s a conversational game about posing philosophical questions, and answering them, according to some rules. It might stretch the definition of roleplaying game, but I feel it warrents being included.
If you like to back a solo game, there’s Rad Zone. A game in which you try to survive in an apocalypse. The presentation looks very solid and I think it’s worth considering.
In regards to gamebook you might back Legendary Kingdoms – Crown & Tower or Defenders: Throne of the Bandit Lord, maybe both. They look good.
Among the many, many other projects I decided to back the Fatum, Dark Myths character creator deck. The design of the cards is nice, and the presentation how you build your character or draw inspiration, looks easy enough that I may actually use it. Though the playmat thing does help. Thus I recommend you check it out too.

Es gibt eine frische Crowdfunding Kurzübersicht #163 (Zeitraum: 14.03 bis 04.04).

Die Kurzübersicht ist zurück, nachdem mich ein gebrochener Ellenbogen zu einer Pause zwang. Weshalb es diesmal rund 119 Projekte gibt. Also, lasst uns einen Blick auf sie werfen.

Der Uhrwerk Verlag finanziert die deutschsprachige Übersetzung von Lex Arcana – Das ewige Kaiserreich. Das Spiel versetzt die Spieler in die Zeit des römischen Kaiserreich, wo Herausforderungen in der Form barbarischer Horden, uralte Monster, mystische Mächten und namenlose Kulte warten. Das Spiel hat vor 25 Jahren die erste Edition erhalten, und die aktuelle ist entsprechend weiterentwickelt worden. Ihr findet alles was ihr zum spielen braucht, und ich empfehle einen Blick! Ulisses wiederum finanziert für Fans von Torg einen Ergänzungsband zu den Aysle und das Cyberpontifikat. Für Fans des Spiels sicherlich interessant. Pegasus Spiele wiederum, sucht mittels StartNext, eine Finanzierung der Masken des Nyarlathotep, eine umfangreiche Kampagne für Cthulhu. Wobei das Material, echt edel aussieht.

Bei den englischen Projekten, mag ich mit Solemn Vale anfangen. Ein Rollenspiel von Mark Kelly, an dem auch Justin Achilli mitarbeitet. Das Spiel beschäftigt mit Folk Horror und damit verbundenen übernatürlichen Kräften. Wobei man sich von Filmen wie Der Hexenjäger, The Blood on Satan’s Claw und The Wicker Man inspirieren ließ. Das System verwendet Attribut basiere Würfelpools und unterstützt die Erzählung mit einer Biet-Mechanik. Ich empfehle einen Blick, und war selbst versucht. Daneben ersucht Onyx Path eine Finanzierung für Trinity Continuum: Adventure!, die neue Edition des Spiels um Abenteuer im Indiana Jones Stil. Das Spiel verwendet das Storypath System, wie bereits die Scion Spiellinie, und scheint recht solide. Pandora: Total Destruction wiederum bearbeitetet das Superhelden Thema, und mischt eine Portion Akira bei. Über das System wird nicht allzuviel verraten, außer das es die „Erzählung zuerst“ Philosophie von PbtA Spielen hat, aber man kann es sich auf DTRPG ansehen. Tales of Teralecia wird als ein D&D basiertes Spiel beschrieben, dessen Setting eine Mischung aus Steampunk und Science Fantasy it. Es steckt wohl viel Herzblut drin, und man kann in 4 Videos dem Macher für mehr Infos zuhören.
Fans des Science Fiction Genre, sollten einen Blick auf Death in Space haben. Das regelleichte System ist an die OSR angelehnt und die Spieler sind in ihrem Raumschiffen unterwegs ein dreckiges und erbarmungsloses (gritty) Universum zu erkunden. Die Präsentation macht durchaus etwas her. Ebenso wie die des Dark Energy RPGs. Die Welt basiert auf den gleichnamigen Romanen und der Mix von Fantasy und SF erinnert mich an Cyberpunk. Wobei das System wohl auch eine Gewisse Moralität abbildet, und man Helden wie Schurken spielen kann. Es sieht durchaus spannend aus. Ebenfalls in die Kategorie Cyberpunk fällt Rising Shadows. Wobei mich die ausschließlich textbasierte Beschreibung nicht packen konnte. Immerhin schaut das Thumbail nett aus.
Fans von Fantasy sollten einen Blick auf Goblin Country haben. In dem SL-Losen Spiel, erkundet man die Landschaft als abenteuerlustiger Goblin. Wobei das ganze Spiel in ein Magazine passt. Ageless Chronicles wiederum erkundet man mehr oder weniger als Mensch, gestaltet aber beim spielen gleichzeitig die Karte. Was ein netter Twist ist. Ebenso wie der Umstand, dass Regelwerk und Spieloberfläche Online sind. Spears & Spells ist ein eher klassisch aussehendes Fantasy Spiel mit OSR angelehnten Regeln, dass nur W6 verwendet. Wobei mich „Flexible Funding“ Projekte auf IndieGoGo immer nervös machen. Dementgegen bietet die 2. Edition des Eldritch RPGs eine Kickstarter Finanzierung. Das System bzw. Setting ist vielfältig, episch und soll sowohl OneShots wie auch Kampagnen ermöglichen. Nett. Dann gibt es noch das War and Aether Rollenspiel. Es ist zwar von D&D inspiriert, bietet aber ein System ohne Klassen, setzt den Fokus auf Fertigkeiten und versucht einen brutalen wie realistischen Kampf zu bieten. Wobei das Projekt durchaus interessant wirkt.
Wenn man seine Fantasy mit einer gute Portion Anime mag, sollte man ein Blick auf Anime 5E haben. Hierbei handelt es sich um keinen D&D 5E Klon, sondern die Fantasy Variante von BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth). Es erscheint mir sehr empfehlenswert. Das LokDown TTRPG ist ebenso Anime inspiriert, wobei es ein SciFantasy Setting bietet. Als System kommt die Tri-Forge Engine zum Zug.
Bei den erzählerischen Rollenspielen, macht Fly Softly den Anfang. In dem Spiel spielt man Mensch-Schmetterling Hybriden, die von Virgina nach Mexiko reisen. Ähnlich wie die Monarch Schmetterlinge. Auf der Reise hilft man Menschen, Geistern, Mutanten und vielen anderen Wesen. Mir gefällt das Spielkonzept und die Präsentation sehr, und ich bin versucht es zu unterstützen. Wennm man nicht nur ein Spiel will, sondern gleich 6, kann man Possible Worlds abonnieren. Eine Rollenspiel basierte „Subscription Box“, die jeden Monat, für sechs Monate, ein Rollenspiel im Magazin-Umfang abwirft. Das Konzept ist super cool, die Spiele klingen interessant, und vielleicht springe ich noch mit einer Unterstützung bei. Wer Spiele von Jim Pinto mag, sollte einen Blick auf Protocol Squared haben. Ein Spiel über Soldaten in einer Fantasy Welt, welche nach dem Krieg zurück kehren. Wobei man es auch auf historische Settings anpassen kann. Das Spiel verwendet hierbei das spielleiterlose Protocol System. Interessant, auch wenn das Thema kein leichtes ist. Ebenfalls mit dem Krieg, und dem Schicksal von Soldaten beschäftigt sich Love & Barbed Wire. Das Spiel ist ein Zweispieler Spiel, bei dem sich zwei Personen während des ersten Weltkrieg Briefe schreiben. Das System ist hierbei kartenbasiert. Das Spiel Symposium beschäftigt sich mit dem stellen von Fragen. Das ganze ist durch Karten strukturiert, und vielleicht eher ein Spiel zur Anregung von Diskurs als ein Rollenspiel, aber ich fand es spannend und passend genug um es aufzunehmen.
Wer ein Solo-Spiel sucht, sollte einen Blick auf Rad Zone haben. Hierbei versucht man, nach bzw. in der Apokalypse zu überleben. Wobei das Spiel gutausgearbeitet scheint.
In Bezug auf Spielbücher kann man sich zwischen Legendary Kingdoms – Crown & Tower sowie Defenders: Throne of the Bandit Lord entscheiden, oder gar beide unterstützen.
Unter den vielen, vielen weiteren Projekte habe ich das Fatum, Dark Myths character creator deck unterstützt. Die Art und Weise, wie man mit den Karten Charaktere gestaltet, wirkt zugänglich und launig, sowie die Kartenselbst recht schick. Weshalb ich es gerne empfehle.
